From the first time we entered The Shrubbery Care Home we knew it would be the perfect place for my mum.
The furnishings are comfortable and homely. It is a small enough home for all the staff to know and understand the residents well.
All my mum's needs were met by the caring staff who ensured she
was always clean, well dressed, well fed, safe and comfortable.
Their compassion was exceptional. What more could I ask?

My mum went here for respite and was not happy about it while I was on holiday. What a change of attitude when she was taken home. After two days we rang to say she wanted to go back. She loves it here. She is safe well cared for and happy.

Overall, I am pleased with the care that my dad receives. He is well fed, clean and warm. His medication is good and I am kept informed of appointments and any worries that they might have. All of the staff are very approachable and dad is settled, his new room is lovely. Everyone does their best for
the residents. My only wish is that he was nearer to me so that I could visit on a daily basis.

My husband has been in the home for 2.5 years. He went in very underweight, he is now up to his pre-weight. He has a very nice room and is reasonably happy (as he can be)
He is safe and taken care of, he is spoken to by staff in a respectful fashion. I can visit anytime and I share tea and biscuits
with my husband and staff.
It is like a proper home. I am very happy with him in The Shrubbery, he can be terrible to handle at times and I admire the way they do it.
