Overall Experience

Mum has been a resident for four years now since my dad died. She has dementia and her short-term memory is now virtually non-existent although her long-term memory of when she was a child is still good. She struggles with understanding why she is in the home and despite reassurance given to her by the staff and by us when we visit, unfortunately, she can often be very challenging in behaviour. The carers are extremely patient with her despite this and are always very cheerful and friendly and they do their utmost to try and make her happy. The home is well-maintained and very clean and there are often activities and events for the residents to take part in if they wish. We felt very secure with the procedures in place during Covid and lockdown to keep everyone safe and would certainly recommend Attleborough Grange to anyone who is looking for residential care either for themselves or for a loved one. Thank you to everyone who plays a part in looking after Mum.

Have always been kept updated about all aspects of Mum's care and the staff are always helpful and pleasant. Food always looks appetising and the staff are always ready and willing to help with any problems. The room is always tidy and she always seems comfortable. She gets scared very easily and the staff do a good job of settling her.

Mum was transferred to Attleborough Grange after a five-week stay in hospital.

She has been there for eight weeks to recover and is now back home. The staff have all been excellent in helping Mum feel cared for and supported and is a lot happier within herself after receiving lots of affection and care during her time there. Thank you from our family.

Everyone at the home has made my aunty feel safe, wanted and welcome since she was transferred from hospital. The manager has done everything possible to ensure the placement is permanent. There has been a noticeable improvement in my aunties well-being since she started at the home. The family are grateful for all of the support we have received.

Dad went into Attleborough Grange initially on a 10-day Respite Stay and is currently now residing on a Self Funding basis. The Manager, carers, and staff have all been very welcoming and kind in helping dad to settle in. Information has been given to me on certain things that happen on a regular basis in case any of them are of interest to dad. Dad, and us as a family, are still in a transition period and the staff are aware of this and understanding of it. It is very comforting to know that dad is in a safe environment, being well cared for. My dad has a good sense of humour and I am sure the carers will be able to see this once he settles. Thank you to everyone for helping us at a difficult time when we were struggling to provide this level of care to dad at home.

Mum's assessment from hospital to home was done in a professional manner. The move was very quick, hospital to home the following day. She seems to have settled in very well staff are all very helpful and friendly. Initially, it's for respite although it may become permanent

Mum has been in the care home since Feb 2021. A very tough decision for us to make but the care and consideration given to Mum is wonderful. The staff are amazing and mum is happy in her 'home' and well cared for. Thank you to all the staff.

Management and staff have been happy to help with all aspects of mum's move, and have done all they can to help her settle into her new home. Her room is spacious and has views out onto the lovely garden.

The standard of care at Attleborough Grange is very good. The home is well run and the staff are excellent. The situation surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic has been handled well and sensitivity is shown in allowing and maintaining visiting and contact throughout. I would certainly recommend this home to others.

Due to the current pandemic, I have only been able to visit my wife four times since March 2020, who is a resident in the care home. She has been a resident for the past four and a half years, so I think this speaks for itself; everything about the home is satisfactory, which gives me peace of mind. All staff, across the board, could not be kinder or more helpful in more ways than one. I, myself would hope to reside here too if the need be. So a big thank you from myself. Keep up the good work, and God Bless you all.

My brothers and I have been extremely satisfied with the level of personal care and respect shown to our mother. There is a friendly, homely atmosphere on the floor mum is living that makes visiting a pleasure. Mum's needs are very well addressed by a team of caring, competent, patient and cheerful people many of whom mum has formed a real bond. Visits and activities have been ambitious, frequent and well planned, they do well to persuade mum to go out where she has always enjoyed herself and benefited from the social experience.

Attleborough Grange has been excellent in caring for my mother who has vascular dementia. The staff have consistently been professional in the care of my mother despite her behaviour being, at times, challenging. They have worked hard at getting to know her well and always treat her with kindness, compassion and patience. My whole family and I are so pleased that we placed my mother at Attleborough Grange over one and a half years ago.

I would recommend Attleborough Grange to anyone.

My husband has been at Attleborough Grange for 16 months and the amount of medication errors in that time is shocking. There never seem to be enough carers on quite a lot of occasions. Although activity sheets are sent around each week, quite a lot never happens.

In my opinion, some carers need retraining on how to use equipment properly.
