To me Drayton Court is not a care home, it's home from home with love, care, respect and dignity for their residents. This is the second care home my mum has come to and the difference in care and attention and hope is second to none, my mum has gained conference, independence and the will to keep going,
and that to me is a joy to see. The manager, carers, office staff and cooks, to them, these are not residents they are their family and are respected as such.

Mum/grandma and great grandma has been there for 3 years with excellent personal care and attention with dignity and respect. Enjoyed the activities that have been provided and encouraged with safety all through Covid. The safety and security have been amazing. Cannot complain about the quality of care
and service given - lovely, friendly staff and dedicated workers. Always pleasant and gave support throughout and close-knit family home. Been friends and family to Mum throughout her stay.

My mother moved into Drayton Court in July 2022 (3 weeks as of this review). The transition into full-time care is unsettling for sufferers of dementia. This may not always be the case but it certainly has been for my mother. After visiting for the weekend and witnessing caring engagement that is upbeat
and positive, and after seeing a clean homely environment, I feel confident she is being well looked after. It's early days but so far Drayton Court is ticking all of the boxes.

My uncle has been a resident at Drayton Court for over two years now. He is very happy and content there. The carers are great with him and also my uncle gets on with them all. I can't fault his care in the home at all but some agency staff are not so good. The home is always very clean and tidy, my
uncle's room is always clean and well looked after and I would not like my uncle to be anywhere else and god willing, he will be there for many more years yet. He will be 92-years old this year. Well done to all the staff at Drayton Court.

Mum came into Drayton Court earlier this year. Since then, she has received full, considerate care and attention at all times, from everyone. There is absolutely nothing extra that you could do.
It has given me complete peace of mind knowing that she is safe and well looked after.

In my father's own words "I think it's brilliant", "it's clean", "the food is brilliant".
The people who work here are "excellent".
My family has great peace of mind that my father is receiving excellent, kind, compassionate care.

Drayton Court has been excellent in the time my husband has been a resident, that is six years, and the last eighteen months, they have gone above and beyond. I will never be able to thank the carers, the staff or management enough, knowing that my husband has been so well looked after in these awful
times.

We are so pleased we moved my mum here. This has been through the pandemic so has been hard for her to adjust. We were really glad to be able to still visit, the carer and admin have been amazing, always happy to help.

I think that the carers, managers and supervisors are excellent and they know my problems and deal with them efficiently. I like the fact that the team of carers on my floor are regulars, rather than changing about or agency carers. I have grown to know the staff very well over the two years I have
been here and they are hard-working, efficient and friendly.

Mum moved to Drayton Court last June from a lengthy hospital stay.
Mum receives excellent daily care and support from members of staff.
Mum has made good relationships with staff and some residents.
At times Mum has found certain things difficult due to Covid restrictions but has had support from
staff and myself to work through those situations.

My late father spent the last few months of a wonderful life in Drayton Court. He had mix dementia and Parkinson's and his care was great.
He loved the team and in return they cared for him deeply, special mentions to the assistant manager and support workers who went out of their way to make him comfortable
and always ensure he had sponge cake when he wanted it.
I’d highly recommend any family to look at Drayton Court for their families care.
He had a corner, bottom room with a garden and the team helped us decorate it so he would feel at home.

I found the home very caring for my godmother who has dementia. The staff have been excellent and kept us updated and been very supportive with all our family over the last year and a half. I would definitely recommend this care home to other friends and family if it is needed in the future.

My mother became a resident of Drayton Court after a fall and for years had said she would never go into a home.
She was very happy at Drayton Court she said the staff were lovely and they really looked after her. The staff also had a lot of good words for mum saying she was a pleasure to look after.
All in all, from my personal point of view, they helped to make mum's final years comfortable and certainly gave her the company she lacked when living on her own
I wish the staff of Drayton Court every good wish for the future thank you

I have made several visits to this home and I have been very impressed with the standard of care my auntie has received.
The staff are very welcoming to families and nothing is too much trouble. My cousins are able to leave after a visit knowing their mum is being looked after and cared for as they
would.
Drayton Court is also child friendly and they welcome my aunties grandchildren. Well done and keep up the good work. You all deserve thanks. Bless you all.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.719)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.719) out of 10 for Drayton Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.819 for Drayton Court is calculated as follows: ( (102 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 116 Ratings = 4.819
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Drayton Court is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 registered maximum number of service users is 9, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2018

I joined WCS Care in 2018, just over five years after starting my career in health and social care as a carer.

In my roles as Deputy Care Co-ordinator at Castle Brook in Kenilworth and Care Manager at Attleborough Grange, I further developed my experience in residential care before progressing into care home management as Home Manager at Attleborough Grange and now Drayton Court in Nuneaton.

Outside of work, I love swimming, going out with friends, painting and cleaning.
