Having to place your Dad into a care home is daunting enough. Fairfield was absolutely the best place my Dad could be. It is home from home. All staff are amazing. They dont just support my Dad, they support me and my family. They are kind and they show so much empathy. And my Dad is very happy well
cared for, we couldnt ask for more.

My dad was in for 2 weeks respite care. From the time we walked through the doors he was made to feel welcome, we were taken to his room which was a lovely pleasant welcoming room with plenty of space. The only small issue we had is he didn't have a tv in his room for a few days, but after making a
quick phone call it was quickly rectified. On a couple of occasions his food was cold but again it was sorted straight away. On the whole this is a lovely care home and all staff took great care of my dad. I most definitely would use this care home again. Thank you for taking great care of him during his stay with you.

As a family we visited Fairfield Care Home and mum was pleased to become a resident after 33 years of living alone. All the staff made mum feel special and she soon settle into a different way of life. It was after Christmas that mum became ill. The staff organised an ambulance to check her over and
doctors to monitor her recovery. It was reassuring that staff helped mum and us (the family) through a worrying time.

My mother went in to this Home in December 2024 into a respite bed (following several falls). I was really worried about my mother going in to a care home, as she has dementia and struggles socially. All of the staff at Fairfield truly are amazing, my mum settled so very quickly, and this put all of
our minds at rest, she is interacting socially with other residents and all of the staff, in such a short time, I have seen an improvement in my mother. I was told initially they were like one big family, and that is exactly what they are! All of the staff from management, carers, admin, domestic, catering and maintenance, all have smiles on their faces always willing to have a chat and update me, nothing is too much trouble. This home/staff are just simply wonderful.

Sorry I am a bit late with a Christmas at Fairfield review! I spent most of Christmas Day with my Mam at Fairfield. What a happy atmosphere it was all day. The Christmas dinner was delicious and everyone seemed very happy. All the residents were given a Christmas gift. I also had my brother and sister
in law visiting from Mallorca who came to visit Mam at teatime. I had arranged for us to have tea there which was lovely too. It was my sister-in-law's first visit to Fairfield and she was very impressed with everything and we are all glad to see Mam so happy. We were absolutely spoilt. Thank you Fairfield.

Mum went into Fairfield on Tuesday, she was immediately greeted warmly and taken for a cup of tea. The next thing I hear, she has introduced herself every Resident in the lounge area, sang some songs and trotted of with a staff member to join the singing group on the next floor. she was totally oblivious
of me and my partner and was too busy even to see her room.


This was such a weight off my shoulders as Mum has been on her own. We never discussed a care home with her, but she has totally taken to it.


The individual care and attention she gets is unbelievable, they take her to everything involving singing (as she loves singing). I have visited every day, but to be honest she doesn't need me there she is loving every minute, and I now know she is safe, well cared for and very happy! Fairfield is such a wonderful care home and I check on Mum's care and progress at any time on their portal. So pleased she is home.

Since my Husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2018, I have cared for all of his day to day needs but recently found myself needing a break to recover from surgery. Prior to visiting Fairfield I had been reluctant to go down the care route, however after meeting the staff at the home my mind was
soon put at ease.
The staff were extremely professional, caring and went out of their way to make my husband feel welcome. The home was spotlessly clean and catered for all of his needs, I would not hesitate to use their service again next time either of us need a break!

My mum was here in emergency care for nine weeks, and I can't express how much she loved it there and the care was excellent.


The staff were so lovely and kind, and if not for geography, she could have stayed there forever. She has moved to a home nearer her home patch and all going well there too.

Thank you. She lost a few vapes though, they will never be found!

I brought a family friend to visit my dad recently. Her comments afterwards were "He is in such a lovely care home. You couldn't get better". I came to visit my mum recently in June over three weeks. Each time I visited, the staff were always polite. My mum had only recently moved to the care home. I was so impressed with how much more my mum was engaging in activities, especially the singalong. The home itself is excellent, in cleanliness
and adequate room for residents. I felt confident that my mum was in safe care and that her needs were being met. Staff were all very polite to Mum, greeting her by her name.

Mum went into Fairfield for respite at the beginning of the Covid pandemic due to awaiting a heart procedure, and the family not being able to give her around the clock care that she needed. The home took her back after the procedure on the day of lockdown to recover. She did manage to go home at the
end of April 2020.
Her illness did progress, so we decided to look around for permanent residency and could not find anything better than Fairfield.
The staff are amazing, and any issues we have had have been dealt with by the management team. It is a very friendly place to be, and all the residents seem to be friendly too. We like the way we can log in and see how Mum has been looked after, what she has eaten and the entertainment she has been doing during each day. The staff are very caring, and nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are always clean and tidy, and the alterations they are doing are amazing so far.
The family are very happy that she is safe and being looked after 24/7.

After a long stay in hospital mum was discharged to Fairfield at night. She was disorientated and upset but the staff were amazing and gave her lots of reassurance. The home is very well run, the staff are dedicated and caring. They take time to get to know the likes and dislikes of residents to help
them live their best possible lives. It is a happy environment, nothing is too much trouble. Residents are encouraged to join in activities and chat. Mum has even gone on a trip on the memory maker bus which she wouldn't have done before. Mum has gone from not wanting to be there at first to wanting to stay. Thank you.

Since the first visit to Fairfield I just felt it was the sort of place my mum would be happy in and I wasn’t wrong. When mum arrived she was a shadow of her former self but with the care and good decision making from the staff she is much better and the mum I recognise. The door is always open to speak
to senior members of the team and things only have to mentioned once and any issues are resolved. All the care team are great and work very hard to meet the needs of mum. I can rest in the knowledge that she is in a safe and caring place. Thank you to everyone from a very grateful daughter.

Very friendly, helpful and competent staff. They are all able to relate to the individual needs of my Auntie. All meals are good with plenty of variety and goodness. Plenty of activities for residents to take part in whatever their needs. Would thoroughly recommend Fairfield. The care is excellent.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2009

I'm the Home Manager for Fairfield and have been with WCS Care since 2009.


In my time at WCS, I’ve applied my skills in a variety of roles from using my catering knowledge in my first role as a Caterer to being an Administrator/PA, Care Co-ordinator and Care Manager before becoming Home Manager in 2019.


In my spare time, I love spending time with family and travelling abroad.
