Mum was placed at Four Acres after being discharged from hospital following surgery for a broken hip. She chose her room but wanted to go to the dining room for a meal before she’d even unpacked. She felt at home immediately. Mum was to go back to her own apartment after a couple of weeks but she was
so settled and happy that both she and her family felt it was better for her to stay. She enjoys the pampering and loves the activities. I haven’t seen her so well for quite a long time. The staff all know her and ensure she is well cared for. I have also been able to stop worrying about her but I appreciate being kept up to date if she needs anything bringing when I next visit. Mum was a little out of sorts last weekend and the manager rang to tell me what they had done to ensure Mum was well cared for. Very impressive.

Very warm and welcoming environment. Staff and management is very approachable. They recently moved Dad to a downstairs room which had helped him greatly. Dad is more involving in more activities and visiting to the dining area to have his meals with his friends he knows from studley.

Mom came recently and has settled in really well with the help of the manager and the team. The care is very good and Mom’s need are being met very well. I know she is happy as the used to call me two to three times a day and now she doesn’t call me, I have to call her which is a positive step in her

My mother lived in Four Acres, Studley for nearly 3 years from July 2019 till 7 May 2022. The home is decorated and furnished really well and each wing has its own dining area/lounge so the residents are not overwhelmed with lots of people. Mum made some friends and some of the carers went over and
above to make her feel at home and secure. Lots of friendly staff from reception to domestics, carers, handymen, CTLs and management. Thank you for making mum and her family’s dementia journey easier and for treating her with dignity and respect.

Our Mother has been at FourAcres care home for 3 years. She has severe dementia. The staff are very kind and thoughtful and a great improvement has been made recently with the appointment of the new manager. Throughout covid it has been challenging for the families and staff and I applaud them all on
how they coped with the demanding challenges. I would recommend the care home to anyone who is considering the care, especially if they have dementia.

Our mum has been a resident at Four Acres for just over 2-years, and my family and I are delighted by the appointment of a new manager (formerly the deputy manager). Mum has advanced dementia and is sadly unable to do anything for herself, but she is happy and well looked after by the dedicated, caring
staff. The home feels warm and welcoming, and there is nowhere else we would rather her be.
In 2020 and 2021, lockdowns presented families with difficult challenges - not always sympathetically handled by the previous manager. However, we have every confidence in the new manager, a lovely young woman who has the experience and high standards combined with empathy and great people skills. I can wholeheartedly recommend Four Acres for anyone looking for a warm and caring home for their loved ones.

I love living here, everyone is so friendly I can be myself around the staff and have a laugh with everyone. I enjoy the different activities we get to do and the food is lovely. There’s always someone laughing and joking it’s a lovely atmosphere.

Four Acres staff are brilliant, I cannot put into words the amount of care, consideration, love and attention they give to the residents and also relatives in these difficult times. My mother spent just over a year at Four Acres after moving from her own home. She enjoyed the company of all the other residents and joined in with all the activities that were organised, especially those involving her passion for dance. She came to treat Four Acres as her home and always had positive

The carers have formed a close bond with my mother. This has improved her general wellbeing more recently. During the covid pandemic, all new procedures are being adhered to strictly to keep all residents safe.
The place is spotless!

Accommodating when visiting during CV19 times. Prior to CV19, always a pleasure to go and see residents. Residents always seem settled. Minor issues in early days of residency with lack of comms when incidents occurred. Hope that staff/resident family meetings will resume. Need more up to date account
balances and would like to see breakdown of expenses more often.

My Mother moved into Four Acres last October after suffering a stroke and being unable to return home. The staff have made her very welcome and helped her to settle in and get used to not living independently any more. The activities that are put on are really varied and enjoyable for the residents.
The staff are always very friendly when we visit and the home is always spotless.

The latest CQC report and overall rating seem very accurate.
Overall the staff were very friendly and made Mum welcome. They demonstrated the six 'c's'. In the two weeks Mum stayed we were told on the initial assessment Mum would be temporarily registered with a another medical centre, however, this
did not happen and I had to get an emergency prescription.

Mum was lucky to have stayed for 10 months at Four Acres. The care and attention is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff. Never once was I worried for my mums safety or her health. My mum was happy, well fed and enjoyed every part of her daily routine including, trying to
teach her carers how to dance.
I cannot praise this care home enough. Well done everyone and thank you for making mum's final days as easy for all of us as it could be. You are all stars.

Four Acres is a beautiful, friendly and caring home. My husband was there for 2 weeks respite for the first time and would have no reservations to go back as and when.
Two areas that disappointed him were no sky television and his clothes were not pressed to his satisfaction.

What can I say? I have been here for 3 weeks as a respite and could not fault Four Acres.
All staff were excellent in all ways. I was watching their attitude to the rest of the residents downstairs. They were very attentive to their respective needs and could not do enough for them.
If the necessity
arose again, I would not hesitate to come back.

One of my absolute highlights is leading our amazing residents in The Prime Timers choir and smashing a Guinness World Record attempt for the World’s Oldest Choir in December 2024. I’m Kelly, the Head Chef at Four Acres, where I’ve had the privilege of working for the past 14 years. Every day in the kitchen is unique, and I’m proud to lead a talented and dedicated team that ensures our residents enjoy a variety of delicious meals every day. Our kitchen has maintained a 5-star hygiene rating for the entire 14 years, and we’ve earned numerous awards along the way for our excellence in culinary standards.


In addition to my culinary skills, I have the rare ability to write with both hands, which adds a fun twist to my daily routine. Outside the kitchen, I enjoy walking my dog, Dory, a playful Boston Terrier who keeps me active and entertained.
