The latest CQC report and overall rating seem very accurate.

Overall the staff were very friendly and made Mum welcome. They demonstrated the six 'c's'. In the two weeks Mum stayed we were told on the initial assessment Mum would be temporarily registered with a another medical centre, however, this did not happen and I had to get an emergency prescription.

Mum was lucky to have stayed for 10 months at Four Acres. The care and attention is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff. Never once was I worried for my mums safety or her health. My mum was happy, well fed and enjoyed every part of her daily routine including, trying to teach her carers how to dance.

I cannot praise this care home enough. Well done everyone and thank you for making mum's final days as easy for all of us as it could be. You are all stars.

Four Acres is a beautiful, friendly and caring home. My husband was there for 2 weeks respite for the first time and would have no reservations to go back as and when.

Two areas that disappointed him were no sky television and his clothes were not pressed to his satisfaction.

What can I say? I have been here for 3 weeks as a respite and could not fault Four Acres.
All staff were excellent in all ways. I was watching their attitude to the rest of the residents downstairs. They were very attentive to their respective needs and could not do enough for them.
If the necessity arose again, I would not hesitate to come back.

Keep up the good work Four Acres.

Extremely happy with Four Acres, beautiful building and furnishings accommodating to visitors and very friendly. The care of my father is amazing. I have noticed a real improvement in his wellbeing and he is speaking and smiling again. Cannot express enough how grateful we are for his care. He is always clean and smart. The building is always clean and tidy.

All staff have made my mother and all her family very welcome. Excellent facilities. We held a mini birthday party for family and friends in the coffee bar for mums 88th birthday, which she loved.
Very attentive staff.

My only negative point is that the chiropody service, which we were told was included, is now a chargeable service.

My father is a very difficult man and with his disabilities, can make helping him hard. He still believes he can live independently.

He doesn't like being told what he can and cannot do. The staff at Four Acres are angels, they don't just care for the resident, but also for the family member. In a short time, I can honestly say your staff are warm, welcoming, kind and very supportive without them I wouldn't have been able to cope.

Third home my mother has been in - Four Acres has been the one to meet the family's satisfaction. I cannot commend the staff more. They have been wonderful. We will not forget the care given in my mother's final years. If I meet anyone in the same circumstances that we were in, we will not hesitate to recommend Four Acres.

Hayley Wyton
Hayley WytonJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2026

I am the Home Manager at Four Acres, and I have dedicated over 30 years to working in health and social care. I began my career as a qualified nurse, where I developed not only strong clinical skills but also a genuine passion for caring for others and making a positive difference in people’s lives.

Throughout my career, I have progressed into senior leadership roles, including Regional Manager for care homes, supporting multiple services to achieve high standards of care and compliance. While I have valued these experiences, what has always meant the most to me is being part of a home where I can build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and staff.

At Four Acres, I am committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where residents feel truly at home. I strongly believe in open communication, teamwork, and ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

My door is always open, and I warmly welcome conversations with residents and families to ensure Four Acres continues to be a place everyone is proud to call home.

I have worked within the care sector since 2008, I was a care assistant for 3 years and then moved into the office.

I love my current role as I do get the best of both worlds; I get to do all the important things such as wages and contracts etc but then have so much fun with our residents from singing to dancing to just taking part in regular quizzes. I also enjoy the chats I have with our relatives.

An interesting fact about me is that I once ran 100-meter hurdles against Colin Jackson.
