The Limes is situated just a few minutes walk from Stratford-upon-Avon's town centre, There are local services, shops and public transport all within easy reach.

The home offers long-term and respite care for older people in a welcoming and homely environment that is made up of two households. Offering independent living with the benefit of care just a call away, each household includes a lounge, dining space and kitchenette. The hub of the household, the lounges are the ideal space for residents to socialise together or welcome their friends and families.

They also use night-time acoustic monitoring to improve the health and wellbeing of the people living with them.

The team plans a range of activities and events to suit residents' varied interests and hobbies. As part of the activity provision, WCS Care employs dedicated Community Musicians who deliver one-to-one or group music-based activities. And their Memory Maker minibus provides regular, local trips for residents, including those who need to use a wheelchair. They invite relatives to join the trips so families can make new memories together.

My stepmother moved in today. My initial impression is that all the staff are friendly and helpful. With only three hours of being on the premises, I cannot comment on management, food, or activities. Your door entry/exit system leaves a great deal to be desired!

Like all new approaches it sometimes takes a little while to make the necessary adjustments for things to work smoothly, however the team are always on hand to open the door for you when needed.

The Limes was a good option for my mum during two weeks of respite care. The only drawback was having to change rooms during her stay.
The process for entering and leaving the building could also be improved.

My mum was a resident for 9 years at The Limes. She passed away in July 2024. She always received excellent care. The staff treated her with love and compassion. The management team were always available for any questions or updates. The home was always clean with no bad odours. Towards the end of her
life everyone was very understanding and care from doctors, district nurses, carers was excellent. The company have an open policy on visiting which is a great help. The food is of a high standard and the medication set-up is very good.

My Mother was admitted here in October 2024 and since then I have found the Care Home to be excellent. All the staff are amazing, very caring and compassionate and they go the extra mile. Also, they are happy to chat with you whilst you are there. The room my mother is in is freshly decorated, lovely
furniture and she looks out onto the courtyard which is always dressed for seasonal events. I've already seen Halloween and Christmas, can't wait to see Easter now! I have seen fresh fruit delivered which is great. They have recently had a hair salon built and I understand a Cafe will be coming soon. I cannot recommend this Care Home highly enough.

The staff are excellent - caring, professional, friendly and respectful. The facilities are currently being upgraded and have already improved greatly. Communication is very good so I am aware that there is a plan to upgrade the food. The addition of more fresh fruit and vegetables would be most welcome.

My Mum was very well cared for during her time at The Limes. The living facilities were always clean and hygienic and now they are being fully updated.
What is most important is that the staff are very kind and friendly. They work extremely hard to make the residents feel at home, safe and make sure
their personal care is a priority. The residents' mental well being is also a priority, with companionship and activities. The staff know everyone's name and take time to know their life stories, likes and dislikes.
What I was most touched by was their care for my Mum during this month of her end of life. They also took time to make sure our family was coping as well.
I cannot recommend The Limes highly enough.

I tend to be a weekly visitor, I find all the staff to be extremely pleasant and friendly and I feel welcome. Telephone communications are dealt with efficiently. My friend's room seems adequate and the common areas seem clean and fulfill requirements. I am usually offered coffee and a biscuit.

They looked after my grandmother extremely well and made the last few weeks feel happy and safe. She was very well cared for and finally started to do some activities, such as knitting. Nanny was very well fed and a cup of tea was always available. Fantastic staff and home.

My sister is very well cared for and always very clean and tidy, when we come to visit. Due to covid, we have not been able to go inside the care home, but when we can, we will do so. All the staff are very nice and are always there to help, if needed. Overall, a very nice care home.

I’m the Home Manager at The Limes and have been with WCS Care since 2004.


I have worked at The Limes throughout my time at WCS, starting out as a Care Manager before becoming Home Manager. My role as Home Manager involves the daily running of the home - ensuring all our residents are cared for as best as possible and our colleagues are well supported.


What I love about working at WCS Care is that I feel I can make a difference in people’s lives. Even if it’s as simple as putting smiles on our residents’ faces, that’s a special accomplishment for me.
