My sister is very well cared for and always very clean and tidy, when we come to visit. Due to covid, we have not been able to go inside the care home, but when we can, we will do so. All the staff are very nice and are always there to help, if needed. Overall, a very nice care home.

Given the unusual nature of admittance during Covid-19, I'm happy with everything I've seen to date. I know there are a few issues that are being addressed.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. We recognise that moving into a care home at this unusual time is very emotional for both the resident and their family and are always here to help with any queries. Best wishes.

I was really struggling to cope with my mother's care needs after 12+ years. I realised that she needed more help than I could offer. Everyone at The Limes is very attentive to the needs of my mother and goes out of their way to make her feel like a friend. I would recommend The Limes to everyone! Really kind people, friendly surroundings and a central Stratford location.

I have been visiting my friend since visits were permitted (before lockdown I could visit in her room every week). She is unfortunately in the early stages of dementia and must have been difficult to begin with but has been treated with excellent care and compassion. Her room is rather small but it has an en-suite bathroom. It is a pity (but can't be helped) that the surroundings are rather restricted - the garden is small.

6/6 Saw on TV Mo Farrah beat the 3000m. Recovered.
8/6 Entertained by our man and wife (guitar playing and singing) In the afternoon a NHS nurse visited for annual review, my daughter and son-in-law were present and we held the meeting in the garden sunshine.
16/6 We were entertained by a trio. Two ladies and a gent, sopranos, flute and keyboard, very talented.
17/6 We held an open day and celebrated the Queen's birthday and Shakespeare 400 years. I dressed up as Shakespeare.

3/7 My other daughter and her husband visited. We attended the River Festival on the Avon. Lots of narrow boats.

Originally joining as a carer, I've spent the last 10 years developing my career in care at The Limes.

I previously worked in finance in South Africa and trained to be an accountant. However, after returning to the UK, I found myself looking for a new direction. Inspired by the exceptional care my dad received, I decided that I wanted to be a carer and pass on that same reassurance I felt, where I knew a loved one was well looked after.

I believe I've done a good job when I've put someone's mind at rest, and I really enjoy supporting carers to develop the skills needed to deliver great care every day.
