My wife, 78 yrs, has advanced Alzheimer's and was placed in Clarendon Manor care home just before Xmas 2025. From day 1, the staff have treated her with utmost care, tenderness and patience. As her condition has deteriorated the team have continued to give her all the help she requires to have as good a quality of life she thoroughly deserves. I cannot speak more highly of the home, from the management downwards.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It means a great deal to us.
I'm happy with my father's care and know he is in good hands which is peace of mind for my brother and me. I have no problem in recommending Clarendon Manor to anyone who is interested in sending their relatives there.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are so please you are happy with your father's care , Merry Christmas from all at Clarendon Manor
Garden and patio area could have more planting. Access is via a conservatory through a locked door (accessible from inside). Otherwise through a less accessible hairdressing/laundry room.
Thank you for your honest review, the conservatory doors are left wide open when the weather is good but with the layout of this building I completley understand your comments and will endevour to pursue different solutions. Thank you for taking the time to review us, much appriciated.
Clarendon Manor Care Home helped me celebrate my uncle's 90th Birthday the staff couldn't do enough to make this such a fantastic and happy occasion. The appearance of Elvis singing and dancing made the day so much fun. My family and I would like to thank all the staff for delicious buffet and great music. Brilliant time had by all making great memories, thank you again.
Thank you for the lovely review , I am so pleased you liked the food, decorations and Elvis tribute I organised, the staff had so much fun celebrting with you and your family and a good time was had by all.
Management and care staff were extremely attentive, helpful, patient, supportive and caring. My mothers care was exceptional, her every needs was catered for.
Thank you for your lovely review, myself and my staff are extremely grateful for such positive feedback as this motivates us all to do even better, your Mother was a pleasure to care for and all of your family were exceptionally nice and appreciative of all the carers hard work, Thank you again.
What we do find, is that on most occasions when visiting we always have to ask for a towel for the bathroom as there is nothing present. As for meals, he rarely complains (and he has a good appetite) the only thing is he struggles to eat is meat as he has no bottom set, a bit more care here would help, also when bringing a cup of tea around I have to say it's dreadful, half cup and lukewarm (and I mean lukewarm).
We believe a better communication between the home and the family could be better especially with health issues that we have had in the past.
Overall satisfactory but improvements can be made. What I will say is some of the staff are very good to our father and we appreciate that.
Thank you for your review, all issues have been addressed, we were not aware of these and are available always to discuss any concerns , we pride ourselves on good communication with families and I am disappointed that we have failed on this occasion with yourself as it is your brother we usually converse within. Thanks again for your honest review as it makes us try even harder to do better.
My mum went into Clarendon Manor in March 2023 aged 93. She had been in hospital after a bad fall and it was found that she was unable to return home due to her frailty and mind confusion. At first, she was well enough to join other residents in the day room and even a couple of craft afternoons but gradually she became more frail and eventually was diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer's so stayed in her room. I always found the staff brilliant with her, assisting her to eat when she couldn't manage herself etc. Her room was always spotless and her laundry too. Sadly mum passed away on January 12th 2025. I can't thank the staff enough for all they did to make her last couple of years comfortable.
We are so pleased that you were happy with the care we gave your mum, she was a pleasure to care for and we all miss her, thank you for taking the time to review us it is vey much appreciated.
Mum has lived here for nearly three years. I feel all her needs are met with patient and kind carers. Her health both physically and mentally has deteriorated but she has been well looked after. Her room is always spotless and she enjoys the meals provided.
Thank you for your kind review, the care staff are very pleased that you are happy with the care they provide, please feel free to speak to me if you have any suggestions or concerns I am available always, thank you again.
Mum has been a resident for over two years and is fairly content. She is treated well by most staff but (she says) occasionally roughly by some agency staff. Her room is nice and she enjoys her own furniture etc. Mum has been cared for particularly well during illness and after a very bad fall. Nursing care provided was exceptionally good. Food is adequate but mum is sometimes given meals she cannot eat or has not ordered. Her hot meals are often only tepid when they arrive (she lives a long way from the kitchen). There are very few activities and little time to do one to one or wheel mum to visit a friend. Cleanliness is excellent and mum enjoys a weekly bath and hair do. Time taken to answer mum's bell can be fairly long. Facilities: quite good apart from the 'cinema' which seems to be used as a store room. Attention to personal details can be poor e.g. tea sometimes still arrives with no sugar; hearing aids are not always charged at night.
Thank you for your honest review, all comments are taken very seriously and any failings in your faith in us has been duly noted, we strive to give the best care possible and I am always available for you to air any concerns. We have regular activities but unfortunately your mum declines, unless it is a party. We will continue to encourage her to join in as it is very beneficial for her.
Thank you, Clarendon Manor!!
We are so pleased you are happy with the care we are giving your loved one. We strive to create a lovely homely environment and a family atmosphere and are very grateful for your feedback. Happy New Year!
My brother has been in this care home for the last 6 years as he has learning diffficulties and increased mobility problems as he has aged. The staff have always been friendly and helpful taking on board his needs. He enjoys participating in the regular activities at the home.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are all so pleased you are happy with the care we provide, many thanks for your feedback.
My mother is very happy living at Clarendon Manor and loves her room. The staff are always friendly, efficient and very supportive. So far it has been a good experience for both her and visiting family.
We are so pleased that your mum is happy at Clarendon Manor with us, we shall continue to give her all the support she requires, thank you for taking the time to review us, much appreciated.
My Mother was treated as well as could be with her frailty and illnesses dementia is hard to work with all things considered towards the end. The staff were on board with everything. I am very grateful for their help and concerns. A very big thank you from all the family.
Thank you so much for your review, we are so happy that you were satisfied with the care we gave your mum.
The care my mother received was exemplary. Every carer took time to chat with her and check she was well looked after. She was treated with dignity and respect. Her last few days were stressful for me but they kept me informed and looked after me as well as my mum. She could not have been in a better place. She was a resident for almost two years and was happy and content and I was relieved she was being looked after so well. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your lovely review, your mum was a pleasure to care for, the staff will be so pleased that you were happy with her care, your mum was a real character and she will be missed immensely.
My mum joined Clarendon Manor in October 2021 with Parkinson's and very limited mobility. From day one all of the staff went out of their way to get to know her and provide the best care. Visiting friends and family were always greeted warmly and we were regularly updated on how things were going. I could ring at any time and ask any questions, nothing was too much trouble. Because I lived at a distance I also found the relative's online hub really helpful where I could easily see detail on areas such as how mum was feeling, whether she had any visitors or what medication she was on. I really felt well-informed. I take huge comfort that Mum had her final days in such a caring environment. I am scoring 5 stars as I can't think of any areas where I could suggest improvements.
Thank you very much for your very kind review. The insight you give is a tremendous benefit to the home and often (and certainly as in your case) a truly motivating story shared with the staff group. At Clarendon Manor, we are committed to promoting independence and an ethos of enablement in our...
My father had to go into Clarendon Manor unexpectedly. We, as a family, were welcomed with open arms and looked after as much as my dad. We were allowed to visit when we wanted, which showed they had nothing to hide. They really care.
Thank you for the lovely review, myself and my team are pleased you were happy with the care we provided, it is always a boost to staff when they are recognised for the good work they do, thank you! The manager.
My mother came to Clarendon Manor having been diagnosed with vascular dementia. She has received very good care and understanding. The staff got to know her and respected her wishes wherever possible. Medically she was regularly checked and supported appropriately. Regular records were kept. Her condition declined steadily, all symptoms were addressed. The local surgery nurse came out regularly.
Hello and thank you for your thoughtful review. We really like feedback good or bad so we can use it to improve our care and the home. However, when we get such a glowing report it is extra welcome. I will certainly pass on your comments to the manager and staff and can tell you now that they will be delighted that their efforts have been so thoughtfully received.
What a really nice home. All staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They made Mother feel at home straight away.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, your mum was a pleasure to take care of and is missed very much.
If there were any questions asked - the staff always ensured they got the correct information and passed it on to us.
The manager was always available or deputy manager - to deal with any issues we wished to discuss. My father was treated with dignity and respect at all times.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are so pleased you were happy with the care we provided for your lovely dad.
Our dad was at Clarendon Manor for four years. During his stay, he was well looked after and the staff adored him. They treated him with respect and dignity. Some of the carers used to go the extra mile with him as he was Indian and English was not his first language. The girls spoke in his native language which made our dad feel at home. Great staff and care provided.
Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to leave a review. As I am sure you know the staff and manager work very hard to make Clarendon Manor a safe, happy and, most of all, caring place to be.
