Catherine Arnold

Catherine Arnold started her career working as a nurse in 1972, with an immediate love for the job and natural care for her patients she always wanted her own Care Home so she could look after people. In 2004 Catherine had a purpose built 3 bed Home built and it was named The Stables. In 2008 with a Big waiting list she decided to extend the property into a 7 Bedroom Care Home that we have today. Catherine is a very hands on owner with a can do attitude who works close with her son Jamie Arnold who runs the financial side of the Business along with Nicola Russell who is the Care Home Manager. At The Stables we are like one Big family and we take great pleasure in giving the best care we can for our Residents. All staff have this great attitude and dedication for the job.

Jamie is a Co-Owner at The Stables Care Home, having spent 15 years in the motor trade Jamie decided he wanted to take a different adventure in his life and he wanted to join the family business. Bringing a wide range of experience, he's brought his knowledge from his previous job to organise some fantastic events for the Residents, staff and the community, such as the Seaside day event and Elf day where we raised money for Charity. Jamie oversees the Business side of the home and is always here for the staff and Residents.

Nicola joined The Stables Care Home in 2007. Nicola fitted in straight away at The Stables and loved the family-feel atmosphere that The Stables is all about. Through hard work and recognition she progressed into becoming deputy manager. Nicola worked very hard to pass her NVQ Level 5 and in April 2019 was promoted to Care Home Manager. Nicola looks after the day to day running of the care side of the home and is very passionate about The Stables. Nicola loves the fact that at The Stables we are one BIG FAMILY.
