What can I say? Jamie and his mum, Cath, who own and run the stables, were fantastic when my sister and I spoke to them regarding our dad going there for full-time care. (He had previously had the odd day of respite care there in the past.) They offered some great words of advice that helped us with some big decisions regarding Dad's care.Fast forward a few months and Dad absolutely loves it at the stables. The staff are amazing and will do everything possible to make each day as special as the last. Dad is regularly taken out on day trips to shows, garden centers, and museums; he absolutely loves it.When he is with us or out with family, he's always in a rush to get back. As frustrating as it is for us, it just shows how much he likes it. I could go on and on, but I will run out of words and time.

"We recently moved my father-in-law into this care home and couldn't be happier with the experience. It's a lovely, family-run setting with fantastic staff who are kind, attentive, and professional. The home is very well managed, with excellent communication that keeps us informed and reassured.

They take the time to organise personalised activities, and the home-cooked food is a real highlight. Most importantly, it truly feels like a 'home from home,' which has made a big difference to us all. We're very grateful for the care and support provided."

My dad moved in just over a week ago due to his dementia and the need for a smaller setting with person-centred care. From the moment he arrived, the home has felt warm, welcoming, and truly like a home from home - not only for the residents, but for their families too.
The staff are absolutely wonderful: friendly, compassionate, and genuinely caring. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure my dad is comfortable, settled, and well looked after. Communication has been outstanding, which has given us so much reassurance.

As a family, we couldn't recommend this care home highly enough. We honestly couldn't have found anywhere better suited to meet my dad's needs, and we can't thank the team enough for everything they have done to put our minds at rest.

My mother has been a resident at the Stables for a number of years and in all the time that mum has been there the care and understanding of her needs have been above and beyond what I would have expected. Mum has had to be admitted to hospital on a couple of occasions, which is only to b expected with her age and health issues and even when mum was there the care home would arrive to visit her and see how mum was doing. That is going beyond what you would find in alot of other care homes.
The only way I can think of describing The Stables is, it's home from home with the way that the residents are cared for and looked after. This also is the way you are spoken to and made to feel apart of the family when you visit.

Having been in the hospitality industry for more years than I care to remember, this care comes from the top and filters it's way down.

My mother has been at The Stables Carehome for coming upto 2 year's shortly. I am pleased submit another review to say my opinion of the level of care has not altered if anything my admiration of the whole team just gets greater over time.
As anyone who has a family member in care knows their needs get more complex with time and the stables has shown they can manage these these with ease.
This gives us reassurance our mother is receiving the best care possible in the Stables from their home from home environment the team has created this has made my mother's time enjoyable and rewarding in her later years.

I sincerely feel we could not have found anywhere better for our mothers needs.

The care and help The Stables provides is the best you can get in my opinion. My mum has been so well looked after all the time she has been there. It provides peace of mind for the whole family. The care home feels like a real home thanks to the manager and staff who work so hard and care so much. We are thankful to have mum at The Stables where we can drop in and feel welcomed and at ease knowing mum is being well cared for. I would recommend this care home very highly for your loved one.

The Stables has to be the best in the area! Indeed it has to be one of the best in the whole of the country! As hard as I look, I cannot fault it. The ratio of staff to residents is excellent as are the staff themselves. As soon as one steps through the door, the ambience is one of home, calm and contentment. A 10 out of 10 from me.

The Stables Care home, is an amazing place with the kindest and friendliest staff, I transferred my mum to the home recently from Great Yarmouth, and before doing so visited around 15 other homes in the local area but when we visited The stables it was clear straight away that it stood out from all the rest, the family run home had such friendly staff and management and were so welcoming and as it only has 7 rooms the ration of carers to residents is great. The home is cosy and warm and the staff ensure they cater to everyone's needs and wants in foods. My mum has been there now a month and she has felt comfortable from day one and has settled in really quickly and the staff at the home has helped to make a very scary move to be as effortless as they could, knowing my mum is being looked after and cared for so well at the home really takes the pressure off. If anyone is looking for an amazing place to look after and care for a loved one The Stables offers continued 5*.

The excellent care my husband is receiving at The Stables Care Home has made a very positive difference in a difficult time when losing his independence. The Stables is a very comfortable and welcoming environment/home to live in. The staff are very professional with a warm, kind, caring attitude. They are very supportive of residents' individual needs and interests, as well as developing good communication and working relationships with residents' family and friends.

My uncle receives excellent care at The Stables - they know him well and treat him with dignity and I believe they genuinely enjoy him as a person, as well as care for him. They are always open to helping accommodate family visits and give a warm welcome when we arrive. The staff arrange for us to have space away from my uncle's room - in the conservatory - which enables us to have some privacy and enjoy time with him. We are grateful for their care of my uncle.

When I first learned that my sister was going into a care home, I was terrified but when she was moved to The Stables Care Home I couldn't have wished for a better place for her. Everything about it is first-class which puts my mind a bit more at rest. The staff are excellent in all aspects of their job caring, patient, loving and understanding. Always there with understanding with relatives and visitors, with a smile and a warm welcome. I couldn't wish for my sister to be cared for at this awful time by any other people. Doing anything and being there for my sister when I can't or able to. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart and hope and pray my sister is always looked after at The Stables as there isn't anywhere else I would like her to be. Thank you all.

Lovely care home whom provide exceptional care, nothing is too much trouble we felt very happy that we could leave mum for respite care in the knowledge that she would be very well looked after. From the managers down to the care assistants the level of care that mum received was just wonderful, the staff are very supportive and would make time to have a chat and put your mind at rest. We have no worries about mum having a place at The Stables hopefully in the near future.
