I was blown away by my mum's appearance within 24 hours of her moving out of one care home into Chataway. Since that first day, my mum has blossomed and she's smiling again which is so emotional to see. The care, love, respect & dignity shown and given is outstanding. The simple things like doing mums hair everyday makes such a difference and caring about how she looks is what they thrive in which is so personal. The level of hygiene & safety within the home and the residents is superb, fresh home cooked food is all done by the fantastic team. ( NO AGENGY STAFF AT ALL )
Jacki communicates so well and is running a fantastic home with her incredible team. There's always a great buzz in the atmosphere with the fun activities they have which is great stimulation and interaction for the residents.
My lovely mum now looks like she's 'at home'
rather than in 'a home'

I simply can't thank Chataway team enough, I will honestly be forever grateful to each and every one of them.

Mum moved into Chataway just over a year ago when her dementia meant she wasn't safe at home. Mum never wanted to go into a home, but she settled in straight away. It is like one big happy family. The staff are fantastic, genuinely caring, and make everyone feel at home. Jacki, the manager, is wonderful, hands on, really on top of things, and looks after the relatives as well as the residents. No agency staff are used here, so there us continuity of care. Mum is so well cared for, their hygiene and mouthcare standards are second to none. Care is proactive and personalised. The food is lovely, residents are do well fed. Activities are carried out one to one, or organised for groups. There is always a nice 'buzz' in the lounge. I can't fault it, mum is so happy here.

I cannot thank Jacki and her staff enough for the care they give to my mum and stepdad who have been in their care for almost four years. They are like one big family and Jacki and the staff treat them like their own. The staff are constant with very little change and all the staff are very welcoming and cheerful, in fact I feel like family when I visit, my aunty Joan is also in there. I can just turn up when I like and sit with everyone who now feel like family to me!
I'm kept informed of everything and mum and Brian are safe, clean and extremely well fed, I never worry about them. They always have their own clothes on too which wasn't the case when mum had to spend some time at another home whilst waiting to go into Chataway.

Jacki is a straight talking, loving lady who puts the residents care first always. I'm so pleased they are residents at Chataway Care Home.

Mum has been living at Chataway for over a year and has enjoyed good company, great food and a really caring environment. Previously Mum has stayed in other Care Homes on a respite basis. Not one of them provided the care, friendship and consideration that she receives at Chataway. The staff are amazing, so kind, hard working and nothing is too much trouble for them. Activities are provided on a daily basis. They are varied, interactive and Mum enjoys being involved and having fun. On a medical front Chataway delivers beyond expectation. Whatever health issue might arise a GP, Nurse or other Health Professional is on hand to help and provide the appropriate medication in a timely and efficient manner. Chataway was recommended to our family several years ago by personal friends and l would be happy to endorse that recommendation going forward.

After becoming too vulnerable to carry on living at home, mum moved to Chataway in August 2025, for three weeks of respite care, and later chose to make it her forever home.
From the first moment of talking to Jacki, we knew it was the right place for her to be safe and cared for.
We are so impressed with the facilities and homeliness of the whole place, the staff are amazing, and keep mum amused, entertained and most importantly, safe and well.
Chataway is on a smaller scale than most care homes, and the level of interaction from the staff with the residents makes it perfect.
The food is fabulous, and there have been no compaints at all about any of the service that mum is receiving.
Members of staff are always on hand to help and nothing seems to be too much trouble for any of them.
Mum looks so much better after just three months and is thriving in her new surroundings.

We cannot praise Chataway Care Home enough, it has been life changing for all of us.

It's been over a year since my last review and this place never ceases to amaze me! My Mum's care continues to be of the highest standard and the interaction of all the staff is second to none. They let us know how Mum is doing regularly, the highs and the lows. My Mum has dementia and her needs are always met with understanding and compassion. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the care she receives from Doctors and Nurses outside of the home is unbelievable. I could never get that kind of service for her at home. She is dealt with quickly and efficiently and you can tell the home has a good relationship with all the medics that come to Chataway. I love the way Mum is in there. She is much happier, doesn't have any worries and enjoys the social side of everything at the home. She is never lonely, she is always well turned out, she loves the food and joins in with all the activities and entertainment. I could say much more, but you're restricting me to a 1000 characters!xx

I was able to visit the home before my relative went to live there permanently. Chataway is a warm, friendly, welcoming environment. My relative is very well cared for in every way and their needs are fully met. The communication is fantastic and very reassuring. I am able to trust them totally with the safe round o'clock care they provide. All the residents are treated with the highest standard of care where they are respected and their dignity maintained. The staff are friendly, amazing and very dedicated. The home is well maintained, fresh and clean and the meals are freshly prepared and cooked in their own kitchen by their own chef. I am incredibly happy where my relative is and so grateful to the team for the way they look after my relative. They completely understand their condition and thoroughly work hard with care, kindness and thoughtfulness to meet their all round wellbeing. I recommend this beautiful home.

My mum went into the home in May 2025. Since then I can only say good things about the care she has received by all of the staff. She suffers from dementia and is not always easy to look after but the staff and management at the care home have shown nothing but kindness and patience other. I can'trecommend the home enough.

I cannot be more impressed with this care home. My grandma has been here for about 5 years and now is at the final stage of life. The carers genuinely love her and all the residents. There is nothing they won't do for the comfort and care of each person including us (her family), as we spend around the clock time with her. The home is immaculately clean, smells fresh and is constantly kept that way around the clock. The residents are kept clean and are given dignity and compassion. It is such a comfort that my grandma has been, and is being cared for in such a loving and caring way. Thank you so much to everyone at Chataway Care Home. You make a huge difference in the lives of so many. God bless each one of you!

My mum had been discharged from hospital, looking very frail and not particularly well. I was asked not to visit Mum for five days. When I visited Mum, I was so surprised at how different she looked. Her hair had been washed and set, Mum looked so much better. She was eating and drinking well, something Mum had been struggling with for some time.
My overall view of the home:
Caring staff with good humour!
Catering for all Mum's needs!
Promoting independence!
Mum's mobility has improved greatly, also mum tells me the meals are lovely!
This care home is well-run and organised!

For me, I am pleased that Mum looks so much better. I would recommend the home, and would like to thank the staff and the manager for making a difference to my mum's well being.

If I'm honest, I'm finding it hard to put into words how grateful I am to have found Chataway. I feel love when I walk in there and know that when I leave that my Mother is in the safest of hands. The team is fantastic. Run by a lady who is on the ball with everything.
Dementia has taken away the Mother that I knew.
But this fantastic team ensures she is well looked after, she is clean, tidy, and enjoys the company.
If you ever have a dilemma like I did in choosing a care home then choose Chataway.
I will be ever grateful that I did.

What a gem it is

Chataway House has been so amazing settling my Nana into the home. She's moved from assisted living and the team has made her transition effortless. She is cared for so incredibly well. The home is spotlessly clean. The carers there care for the residents like their own family that's the feeling I get when visiting Nana. There are activities run throughout the day and Nana can take part if she wants or is free to sit back and watch.

The food is something else! She says constantly, it takes her back to cooking for her family, good home-cooked meals. I've noticed a huge change in Nana's health and well-being since being at Chataway and it's such a comfort to me knowing she's being cared for as well as she is. The manager is also hot on appointments and medication. Following up hospital appointments and being in touch with the doctors when needed. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to a care home. My Nana is so happy.

The staff at Chatterway Care Home provided invaluable support for our 96-year-old uncle whilst we took a much-needed break. Although they did not have the accommodation to take him in for respite, they did provide him with a midday meal and afternoon tea every day, checking to see that he was safe and well. Uncle looked forward to the visits each day, more so because usually, we are the only faces he sees from one day to the next. The staff were always warm and friendly and he could not praise them highly enough.

Thank you Chatterway, your help has been invaluable and is very much appreciated.

My Mum has been a resident since July 2023, originally just for a couple of weeks but loved it so much that she decided to move in permanently. Mum loves all the staff and often refers to them as her friends. She’s well looked after and loves having her nails done. Fantastic meals and desserts. Mum would not want to live anywhere else.

It was a very difficult and emotional time when the time came for us to look for a care home for our mum, who has Dementia, however it is now almost 12 months since mum moved in and I can not find the words to adequately reflect what an incredible care home this is. The Home is so clean and fresh. Mums room is lovely and airy with her home comforts and photos. Mum is always looking lovely and clean and tidy, in her own clothes. All the staff are really kind, helpful and patient with all the residents. The manager is one of the most caring and considerate people I have ever met and is so on the ball when it comes to the right time to call in the professional services e.g Doctor, SALTs, ensuring the family are aware/involved. There is always at least one staff member in the lounge with the residents. Seeing residents singing and laughing and for some, dancing is a joy to see. My mum has an excellent quality of life at Chataway and we certainly hit the jackpot when she moved into her now, forever home.

Gran had to go into care suddenly after an unforeseen hospital stay and even though the manager had an unexpected bereavement, Gran's acceptance into Chataway Care Home happened quickly and with care. Gran has told a friend that she likes it at Chataway and the manager is always ready to help in any situation even providing toys to play with in the conservatory for our 5-year-old grandson who had come (with his Mum - Gran's granddaughter) from the USA for a special visit. We have always been helped by the staff who every time are willing to go the extra mile when it comes to arranging a visit to see Gran.

Where do I start? Firstly, get the manager talking to powers that be in the care system and her direct manner will help in getting things on track and restore faith in the care vulnerable people deserve. All the carers I met and spoke to seemed to enjoy their job and I’m told staff retention is over seven years at Chataway Care Home! Wow. My dad spent his final weeks there and for the first time, I was relaxed and safe in the knowledge he was safe, warm and cared for. A professional attitude in a loving care home is the answer and Chataway had this in abundance. Thank you to the manager and her wonderful team.
