Mum passed away in this amazing home from home. She was cared for by people who showed the utmost love and attention. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease and we were baffled as to the care needed. We learnt a lot from Mum's carers and we are eternally grateful to them. Thank you to the manager and all
your lovely staff for everything you did for Mum. Chataway is a clean homely care home where everyone is one big happy family.

I cannot praise this home enough. They are all amazing. I’ve told the care manager she must never retire! This is not just a ‘care home’ this is a family. Each and every resident is treated with dignity and love and the care is second to none despite the obvious challenges and sometimes violent behaviour
that sadly comes with severe dementia. Even our GPs tell us you’d have to travel a million miles to find a better place. Little things they do to ensure the residents feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble. So proactive. We have three family members in Chataway Care Home that we visit regularly. The difference in them since they’ve been residents is amazing. They have a good colour, they’ve all put weight on, they smell lovely. Hair styled, nails painted, clothes all matching and always their own clothes. My mum had to go into another home when she first came out of hospital and it was dreadful. I thank God every day that I’ve got my family in. I could wax lyrical! Thank you so very much.

My mum entered this care home in November 2020 and she has been very well cared for. I am so grateful for everything they have done for her, they keep me very well updated with everything that's going on and all the staff do an amazing job.

Dad has been in Chataway Care Home now for two years. It has been a very difficult time for everyone. With all the restrictions that have been in place, it hasn’t been easy for us as a family, Dad is such a special part of our lives. We are so grateful for the extra special care Dad has received from
all of the staff. They have always put Dad's well-being first and they have always given him extra support and love beyond their duty. I would highly recommend Chataway to take care of your loved ones, they are treated as part of a family.

My mum had a bad fall and needed a care home. Luckily a space came up at Chataway. I’m so glad it did as the place is amazing. With Covid, I couldn’t settle my mum in which was very sad for me. The manager and all the care staff did a wonderful job of settling her in. They made me feel so much better.
They sat her near the window so we could come to see her every day. The carers go above and beyond for my mum who is so happy and very well cared for. Nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this care home as it is very high quality. Thanks again Chataway team for looking after my mum.

I cannot thank Chataway Care Home enough for the care that is given to my grandad. The manager and her staff are so attentive to all the residents. The home is clean and very homely. My grandad's room is a replica of his own home with pictures and small pieces of his own furniture. All extremely important.
We are all safe in the knowledge that Grandad’s health and wellbeing is always at the top of the list, but at times like this when we cannot visit as we would like, Chataway share photos on Facebook a with us all. They have great activities every day and to see my grandad enjoying these each day is so wonderful. He is happy, so happy. There is genuine love in this house, it should be called Chataway Love Home not care home.

Chataway Care Home is excellently and expertly run by the manager and her staff. The staff are all thoughtful, caring and attentive. The home is clean and safe. The residents all seem happy and are often smiling and laughing away. The manager is so strict about Covid infection control protocols that
have been put in place for everyone’s safety and wellbeing. It became obvious that Auntie needed care and she was initially adamant that she didn't want to give up her bungalow but she absolutely loves the companionship and stimulation that she receives from her fellow residents and staff. You are all angels in the way you show such care and treat everyone with such dignity and respect.

My dad has been at Chataway for a year now, most of this time has been in lockdown, we feel he has always been very well looked after and we are all kept informed and nothing is too much trouble for the manager and carers always going that extra mile. My mum and sister had a very special half-hour visit
on Christmas Eve as they had a coronavirus test beforehand so could all have a very much needed hug. Always lovely pictures on Facebook for us to see, which means so much, as we can’t visit at the moment. But as things change, we know the manager will ensure we get to visit as soon as we possibly can. Would not hesitate to recommend Chataway to anyone, as our very much loved husband and dad is very well looked after.

With the onset of Covid, Mum became very isolated and her dementia began to deteriorate rapidly. I cannot thank Chataway Care enough for welcoming her into their ‘family’ which is indeed what it is. The manager and staff are immensely friendly and caring. Mum is kept safe, warm and definitely well fed!
She is happy and content and the numerous daily activities help to keep her active. I have nothing but praise for this wonderfully comfortable homely residence and its remarkable staff in one of the most testing years ever. With love to you all!

Chataway Care Home has a lovely homely atmosphere. It really does feel like a family and we are extremely happy with the care they provide. The staff are always friendly, attentive, patient, kind, reassuring and are very responsive to any queries that we raise. The whole team are supportive and work
together to anticipate and meet the residents' needs. As a family, we received outstanding support at a very difficult time so that the transition into residential care could be managed as smoothly as possible. We feel that the team all go above and beyond to ensure that we do not worry about our loved one. The team always treat residents as individuals, with dignity and respect and continually go the extra mile on little details that will make all the difference. We feel very lucky to have found Chataway and could not ask for anything more in the care that they provide.

Mum has had the best care since coming to Chataway. It's a lovely friendly small home that feels like home from home. All the staff are friendly and helpful and treat the residents like family. When mum was on end of life, they were all amazing.

Chataway was recommended for our beautiful mum who has dementia and could no longer live independently. After a really bad experience at another care home, we were naturally worried about her. This beautiful place is home from home. The care given to the residents is amazing. Staff always treat the
residents with the respect and dignity they deserve. Nothing is ever too much trouble and most of all the residents are all happy. My mum always has a lovely smile on her face, she is happy and content, and we couldn’t wish for anything more for my mum.
I live in Australia and on a recent visit, the staff organised a lovely farewell tea for my family when we left, that meant so much. The manager even takes her iPad in for me to FaceTime my mum each week. When you look around this place and see what they have and what they give to the residents it is obvious that it is all about the love of the job and not about the profit. It’s the little things that matter. Thank you doesn’t seem enough.

I always feel welcome when visiting and asked if we want a cup of tea or coffee. My relative always looks cared for and is eating and enjoying her food, this had been an issue before she came to stay at Chataway care home. There always appears to be good interactions between staff and residents. The
activities advertised on the board seem to take place as advertised. All residents seem to be treated with respect. I am well pleased.

My mother has been in Chataway Care Home for several years now and in my opinion, the staff could not have been better in that time. They have been in tune with her needs be it day to day or when higher levels of medical care have been needed ie. hospital. Manager and staff are friendly and professional
and the environment is lovely. My mother is really happy there and that is the real test of a good care home.

Chataway is a very friendly home, friendly staff and residents. It is well run and the staff provide an excellent entertainment programme for the residents.
There is a great variety of well-cooked meals for the residents to choose from. All the property is always clean and odour free. My mother is

Chris has worked as a chef in care homes for over 25 years. He brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to Chataway since starting his employment with us in 2017. He ensures that all systems and structures in the kitchen are adhered to.
His homemade cakes, trifles and cheese scones are second to none, and we can't forget his homemade quiche.

Jack Marlow

Job Title: Team Leader Joined: 2016

Jack started working at Chataway 7 years ago as a kitchen assistant whilst training to be a pastry chef. After gaining his qualifications, his passion for care was greater, so he trained and worked hard to gain his level 3 in health and social care. Although Jack is a Team Leader on days, he will cover staff annual leave by also working nights or as a chef in the kitchen.
