Tilson House is a purpose-built care home specialising in residential, dementia and respite care, to name a few. It allows maximum ease of access and comfort for all residents.

Tillson House is situated in a quiet residential area in the centre of a housing community. Residents benefit greatly from staying in such a well-placed location with many local shops and amenities just a short walk away. The home's location enables residents’ access to maintain independence and enjoy being part of the local community if they so wish. A local community centre for luncheon clubs and knitting clubs are also near.

The Home has two lounges, a light and modern dining room and bathrooms designed for easy access. Car parking facilities for visiting family and friends as well as a large surrounding garden for residents to enjoy. The staff treated my mother with the greatest kindness + patience. We were kept informed of any change in health sometimes on a daily basis. We could not have asked for a nicer place for my mother to spend her last few months. Lovely, caring people.

My dad is a resident at Tillson House. He has dementia and has been at Tillson since January 2025. We feel very lucky to have found Tillson quite soon into our search for a suitable home. It is friendly, homely and welcoming. The staff are naturally caring with a great affinity with the residents.
Dad is 80 so this was a big change for him but he seems really content and settled. My brother is able to visit with his family and says dad looks well and is happy and relaxed. I don't live close enough to visit as often as I'd like but we call regularly and the staff are always very friendly and accommodating on the phone. Occasionally offering to do a videocall with dad so we can see him. He responds really well to this. We have never had any concerns for his safety or welfare. The duty of care is professional and efficient. We would recommend Tillson after experiencing the lovely care our receives.

My mum resided at Tillson house for just over 2 years. The care given and empathy shown is excellent. Mum celebrated her 99th birthday just 10 days before she passed away . The staff made such a fuss of her she was overwhelmed. Nothing was too much trouble. They are all friendly and approachable. My
mum made many friends while she was there and we will never forget the kindness shown at the end.

Our wonderful mum was Diagnosed with severe Dementia last year .The need for mum to be in full time care became evident. The biggest job was finding the right place for mum to make her new home and be happy. We choose Tilson house after a unannounced visit and residents were all laughing and having
fun and a great team showed us round. The Team at Tilson house have been absolutely amazing right from the management to the care workers the medical staff and the kitchen staff . They have treated mum with respect and total kindness since day one. We have recently discovered that Mum has stage 4 Lung cancer and this has taken its toll on Mum and us as a family yet every single member of the team are absolutely incredible with the love support and care given to mum and us as a family. Would recommend anyone looking for a safe environment with great carers and lots of fun and activities always going on for there loved one go to Tilson house. A great thank you for all your support

My mum has been a resident since jan 25 I can't say enough good things about Tilson house the staff are always very helpful and treat mum with dignity and respect it's more like a family nothing is to much trouble mum is always clean and smart hair done nicely comfortable and well looked after she
enjoys joining in with the activities when she's well enough her favourite thing is having a singer in and singing along to the tunes I rest easy at night knowing mum is in safe capable hands and well looked after communication is fantastic we always know what is going on with mum.

Most of the time I find Tilson House to be fantastic just a very few things that need to be looked at , even tho my mum is very happy there and most of the staff are fantastic with her. x
The food is lovley and well balanced and a lovley variety at tea times .

Very happy with the home, all of the staff are super friendly, caring and helpful, in what can't be an easy job.
The staff create a lovely calm atmosphere, and all the residents look well cared for.
Lovely activities they put on for residents too, from puzzles to singers, a good variety.

food always smells really good.

My dad had a week's respite care at this home. During his say, he received excellent care and attention. The carers went above and beyond to meet all his needs. All the meals he had while he was there were excellent, with plenty of choice. All the carers and staff were very friendly and made him feel
very welcome. On the morning I came to take him home, he was sad to leave, I think that speaks for itself as to the fabulous carers/staff at this home.

After a recent stay in hospital we needed to find somewhere for her stay where she could be looked after. I always thought my Mum would never go into a care home but I had to put her best interests first and find somewhere worthy of my Mum. I called Tillson House after searching homes in my area and
was instantly reassured that I was making the right decision and that my Mum would be looked after. After a fortnight in Tillson House the change in my Mum is brilliant she loves all the staff and the food! and she is treated with dignity and respect. I visit her every day usually twice a day and I have found every member of staff, other residents and their families all very friendly and welcoming. I have no concerns or doubts my Mum's not in the best place for her needs. If Tillson House did holidays I'd be booking in for a week!

All the staff at Tilson House are truly amazing I would call them Angels in uniform. My mum passed away in December after fighting dementia. For 5 weeks mum laid in her bed and every day they looked after her needs I sat by my mum's side and not only did they care for my mum but also me a simple hug,
smile or a cup of tea means the world when you don’t know what’s happening. The way they cared for my mum was beautiful, nothing was too much to ask for and quite often staff would come in on their days off just to see how things were. Fast forward to the day my mum gained her Angel wings, it’s a day that will stay with me forever and it was almost like the staff scooped me up. They all stood and bowed their heads as mum passed on the hospital bed such a lovely sign of respect it truly was something I’ll never forget. Thank you Tilson House from the the bottom of my heart for all you do.

The staff were helpful and attentive to the residents, and even though the Tillson House is a little tired, it's very friendly and homely. My father said the food was good and the bed comfortable. His room had been recently decorated and was very light and bright.

My dad has been residing at Tillson House since April 2022. The staff are truly amazing, they make sure my dad is cared for well and they take time to assist him both physically and emotionally. The staff are welcoming at all times and any request I make gets done. At all times they show both residents
and their families compassion and respect. I am at ease and can sleep at night in the knowledge that my dad's needs are met.
The food is home cooked and if I visit at meal times I am offered a meal to enjoy with him.
There are some areas in the home that look a little tired, but this is being addressed. The new dining room looks lovely and homely.
There are often themed activities for the residents to join, such as external singers coming for a good sing-along, residents families are often invited to attend too.
Tillson House is clean and always smells fresh upon arrival. It is a home-from-home and cosy environment. From what I see when I visit, all residents are treated as individuals

My wife has just spent two nights respite here to give me a little break. I couldn’t fault it at all. From dropping her off to picking her up, the staff all made her feel so welcome, including me. The other residents all seemed happy and came to say goodbye to her when I picked her up, which was lovely.
She really enjoyed her stay and cried when leaving. It felt like one big family there, and I will definitely use this home in the future and recommend it to others. Thank you.

I'm a resident at Tillson House and was admitted here from hospital in February 2022. I love it here. It's like a home from home and the food is very good. I have a nice room and I enjoy taking part in the activities. The staff are very helpful and I've made lots of friends here.

I have had a very good experience with the team face to face and with communication via telephone. When visiting my mother, she always looks happy and well cared for. Might have been all 5 stars but due to covid, actual reviews are limited because of not being able to look around the home inside.

I have found the home to be a lovely ‘home away from home’ for my father. He has been a resident for some time now and he seems as settled as he possibly can be there with his circumstances. The carers are all lovely and very caring towards him. Sadly, due to the restrictions from covid, it’s difficult

My sister appears well cared for and happy with Tillson House care home. They are very quick to advise of any problems and they keep me up to date on any procedures required for my sister which they then arrange. They answer any questions promptly and put into action any agreements we jointly make.
Very pleased my sister is with them- I feel she is much safer being cared for by the staff who are always very pleasant. It’s very nice to see her fed, clean and dressed nicely and in safe accommodation- and they put a smile on her face.

My wife has been a resident at Tillson House since March 2018. She seems happy in herself although suffering from Alzheimer's disease. I appreciate the care the staff give her- she always looks clean and I'm told she eats well. Internally the home is well maintained. The outside curb appeal is in need
of some refurbishment.

My opinion of Tilson House is good all the way through. It is always clean and smells fresh. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Management is helpful and the staff are trained well. Food always looks good and my husband always says the food is very tasty and plenty of it.
