Sadly, my father passed away in November 25. I cannot praise the staff who supported my father highly enough. Their compassion and support for our family was exceptional and we will be forever in their debt . The senior staff and management were knowledgable, kind and considerate throughout his time
living there. If you are looking for a care home with both humanity and highly skilled staff then Harvey House should be visited and considered . A big thank you to everyone who frequently went the extra mile to support a much loved man.
Reply from Lisa Pegg, Manager at Harvey HouseThankyou so much for your lovely feedback. It was an honour to look after your father, he was such a lovely man who definitely left his print in the home and with the staff.

Huntingdon Court is a homely and welcoming care home. It offers a pleasant and caring environment for the residents and every time I visit my mum the atmosphere is one of warmth, friendliness and kindness.
My mum is very happy living in the care home. She has made friends with other residents and
the staff are always thinking of activities and ways to keep the residents occupied and stimulated.
My mum is kept clean and the staff are very conscious to make sure she always has her walking frame to prevent falls. Safety is of high importance to the staff, especially making sure that no resident could leave the home if they are not safe to do so.
If my mum is unwell there is no hesitation to get a local GP or the paramedics out to her.
The meals are homemade and always look very appetising. My mum loves the pudding menu.
My mum's bedroom is always kept clean and tidy by the staff.
I know my mum is being cared for and this means that I can relax and not worry about her.
Reply from Charlene limb, Manager at Huntingdon CourtMum enjoyed joining in and the humor we loved and always a lovely lady and well loved here. It is a pleasure

Most of staff are lovely and approachable, must state tho I really think there should be more than one hoist, for the amount that need the user of one, especially seeing some bursting to go to toilet and having to wait a long time love how Tracey is with patients. There are a couple of staff I find
just don't want to talk to you. But overall happy.

My husband and I are very impressed with Huntingdon Court Care Home. All residents are treated with care and dignity. The staff are responsive. The food is exemplary - home cooking and residents are treated to a lovel yhome made cake on their birthdays. Varied activities for residents to enjoy and involvement
with the local church. Really happy with all aspects of care.

My mum came into this home from hospital in a very poor state of health. The staff really looked after her and called the paramedics and doctor, and have cared for her really well since.
Charlene has been supportive with helping us get funding for Mum's care, we are very grateful!

Mum was at Huntingdon Court for 3.5 years and in that time she was always well cared for. The care staff are lovely and they really do care, which made such a difference in mum's final years. Mum was always clean and well dressed.
If there was a problem, small or large they always contacted me to
discuss and especially if a decision needed to be made. The doctor/district nurse is always contacted quickly if needed and the local doctor visits on a weekly basis.
I would recommend Huntingdon Court to anyone, it is always clean with a good atmosphere. The Security is good.
They do so fantastic activities to keep the residents engaged on a day-to-day basis and really encourage them to join in. Christmas is great, Santa visits on Christmas day to hand out presents.
Reply from Charlene limb, Manager at Huntingdon CourtThank you Charlotte, mum was such a pleasure to look after and her lovely smile will be missed. Such a supportive family

After numerous discharges from hospital following falls, my Uncle wanted to go into a Residential home where he could be cared for 24/7. Abbey House was welcoming, friendly and offered ensuite facilities which met his needs perfectly. The rooms were clean, light and airy and well maintained and there
were delightful displays throughout the home at Christmas, Easter etc. His clothes and bed linen were washed and changed on a daily basis which he found pleasing. There were activities and a lovely garden to sit in.
The care, support, friendship and encouragement he received was visible on so many levels. He gained weight and his mobility and self confidence improved greatly.
His independence was encouraged and respected. The staff were always so kind and supportive, which was so lovely to see. I had peace of mind knowing that he was safe and being cared for. I visited several times a week could have not wished for a better care home. Thank you to the wonderful Managers and staff.
Reply from Jennifer Burdett, Manager at Abbey HouseThank you for your kind words, I will share this with the staff.

My mother-in-law went to stay at Abbey House for a week, and on arrival staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I felt quite at ease and content to leave my mother-in-law with them for her respite. She enjoyed her stay and everything was just perfect for her. Staff were just as helpful when
we picked her up to bring her home. All her belongings were there and tidily placed away. Thank you for the good work, all at Abbey Road.
Reply from Jennifer Burdett, Manager at Abbey HouseThank you for your lovely comments. We are pleased that your mother in law enjoyed her stay.
