Abbey House have been absolutely amazing in their care of my mum, Valerie. They went above and beyond in looking after her and supporting my dad too who was a very regular visitor. Staff were kind, caring and thoughtful and also had a laugh and a joke with my mum which always made her smile. We know she was safe and loved there and never had to worry about that. An absolutely lucky find for us and I would commend them and recommend them to anyone.

The staff in Abbey House were incredibly kind and caring not only to my mother, who was a resident but also to my father who would visit frequently for long periods. They were proactive in informing us of any issues and went above and beyond to get more specialised medical help for my mother when she needed it. They treated my mother with dignity right to the end and were very considerate towards all the family. Thank you so much for all that you did for our mother.

Couldn't be more pleased with the service supplied by the staff at Abbey house. They went above and beyond to make my mother's stay as comfortable and happy as possible. Also, the home itself is great, lovely big dining room looking out on to a garden, big comfortable lounges, and nice spacious rooms. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones

After numerous discharges from hospital following falls, my Uncle wanted to go into a Residential home where he could be cared for 24/7. Abbey House was welcoming, friendly and offered ensuite facilities which met his needs perfectly. The rooms were clean, light and airy and well maintained and there were delightful displays throughout the home at Christmas, Easter etc. His clothes and bed linen were washed and changed on a daily basis which he found pleasing. There were activities and a lovely garden to sit in.
The care, support, friendship and encouragement he received was visible on so many levels. He gained weight and his mobility and self confidence improved greatly.

His independence was encouraged and respected. The staff were always so kind and supportive, which was so lovely to see. I had peace of mind knowing that he was safe and being cared for. I visited several times a week could have not wished for a better care home. Thank you to the wonderful Managers and staff.

My mother-in-law went to stay at Abbey House for a week, and on arrival staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I felt quite at ease and content to leave my mother-in-law with them for her respite. She enjoyed her stay and everything was just perfect for her. Staff were just as helpful when we picked her up to bring her home. All her belongings were there and tidily placed away. Thank you for the good work, all at Abbey Road.

My mother arrived at Abbey House after spending 2 1/2 weeks in hospital post a fall and chest infection. She was not eating or drinking without help, incontinent and disorientated. She is now mobile with a frame, enjoying food which she eats and feeds herself. She joins in the daily activities and has made friends with other residents. She looks well cared for and has put weight on. Everyone who cares for her are friendly kind and caring. Thank you.

Very exceptional staff, caring and kind to residents and visitors alike. Plenty of activities are planned for residents and every effort is made to help those who cannot take part without help.

The home smells wonderful, the decor is homely and the environment is clean and safe. Cannot thank the team enough for their attentive care of my mother.

My father has been well looked after, and staff have tried their hardest to make him feel included. They are very kind when dealing with him, engaging in conversations and encouraging him. He loves the food, and his appetite has come back. It is lovely to see staff smiling and happy, which passes on to the residents. Thank you for your help in a very trying time.

This is a lovely friendly care home. We couldn't have wished for any better. They cared for my dad with love and support for the family. Would highly recommend this home. The meals are excellent and provided to suit every diet. The entertainment ladies work very hard. The maintenance man is very efficient.

A lovely care home with lovely staff. Visited multiple times and always noticed how much attention and care is given to the residents. Nothing is too much trouble, regardless of the challenges the staff occasionally face (as to be expected in a care environment!). Kind and caring. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this care home. Also located in a pleasant location with a nice aspect.

My mum arrived at the home during the pandemic, it was a stressful time for us all - with reduced visits. I never thought my mum would settle but she has now settled very well. The staff are very kind and patient and I feel relaxed with them and am able to approach anyone if I have any concerns.

Residents are well cared for and happy although there is not enough communication between staff and resident's family, personal items go missing never to be seen again, residents are not always wearing their own clothing even when their clothes are clearly labelled. My mum had dementia and did not realise they were not her clothes although it was upsetting for her family.

I am very pleased with everything at Abbey House. My mum is very well looked after considering she can get very vocal and tends to hit out sometimes. The staff are amazing and they should all be rewarded for the job they do in these difficult times. Please carry on the good work and thank you very much.

My uncle had an initial assessment and has now taken full-residency within Abbey House. He chose to remain as the staff are friendly, he feels safe and cared for and has put on weight, and looks happier and healthier. We feel very confident with this level of care.

My mother is a resident and often suffers with pain in her face. Recently she was quite poorly and the staff have been wonderful with her. They encourage her to eat when she hasn't felt like it. They know her well now and recognise when she isn't quite herself. The staff always keep me informed when my mum is off colour also.
