Caring, Patient team of staff, committed to the care of residents with a range of physical and mental disorders, challenging set of work tasks managed with genuine regard for residents' needs. Work pressures are dealt with calmly as per the leadership of the management team. Great effort put into maintenance
of a stimulating environment - not easy with a range of disabilities in the main areas of the home.

Tillson House

My dad is a resident at Tillson House. He has dementia and has been at Tillson since January 2025. We feel very lucky to have found Tillson quite soon into our search for a suitable home. It is friendly, homely and welcoming. The staff are naturally caring with a great affinity with the residents.
Dad is 80 so this was a big change for him but he seems really content and settled. My brother is able to visit with his family and says dad looks well and is happy and relaxed. I don't live close enough to visit as often as I'd like but we call regularly and the staff are always very friendly and accommodating on the phone. Occasionally offering to do a videocall with dad so we can see him. He responds really well to this. We have never had any concerns for his safety or welfare. The duty of care is professional and efficient. We would recommend Tillson after experiencing the lovely care our receives.

All her carers are very respectful, efficient and will do anything to make her more comfortable.
Myself and my family members are able to visit at anytime

Mum was very happy in this home. The staff were kind, caring, and very welcoming. The staff are the biggest asset to the home, they looked after Mum very well when she became bed bound. Washing and feeding her, and giving her medication. A big thank you to you all.

My mum resided at Tillson house for just over 2 years. The care given and empathy shown is excellent. Mum celebrated her 99th birthday just 10 days before she passed away . The staff made such a fuss of her she was overwhelmed. Nothing was too much trouble. They are all friendly and approachable. My
mum made many friends while she was there and we will never forget the kindness shown at the end.

from K B (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 May 2025

Dad has been at Harvey House for almost five months after a spell in hospital. Generally he has been happy in his decision to give up living independently in his home. The staff are always friendly and always respond to requests regarding his care. After asking to move him downstairs this was done as
soon as it was possible. His room is small and has regular bedding change, but his own clothes very rarely get returned from the laundry even through they were all named we have mentioned this on several occasions to staff and checked in the laundry but they never seem to turn up, therefore when we visit he is rarely wearing his own clothes. in the first week he lost his coat which has never been found, also to date he has lost two pairs of glasses. Dad is self funding at the moment but still has to provide all his personal care toiletries, and we feel the home is in need of updating, the lift is always out of order and there is very often a problem with the washing machines or driers.

Our wonderful mum was Diagnosed with severe Dementia last year .The need for mum to be in full time care became evident. The biggest job was finding the right place for mum to make her new home and be happy. We choose Tilson house after a unannounced visit and residents were all laughing and having
fun and a great team showed us round. The Team at Tilson house have been absolutely amazing right from the management to the care workers the medical staff and the kitchen staff . They have treated mum with respect and total kindness since day one. We have recently discovered that Mum has stage 4 Lung cancer and this has taken its toll on Mum and us as a family yet every single member of the team are absolutely incredible with the love support and care given to mum and us as a family. Would recommend anyone looking for a safe environment with great carers and lots of fun and activities always going on for there loved one go to Tilson house. A great thank you for all your support

Finding the right care home for our mum, who has dementia, was one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make - but from the moment she arrived here, we knew we'd made the right choice.

The staff have been nothing short of incredible. They treat Mum with such patience, respect, and genuine love.

Even on her more difficult days, they never lose their warmth or kindness. It's clear they understand dementia not just clinically, but emotionally - they truly see the person behind the illness.

We've watched Mum grow more settled and content than we thought possible. She smiles more, and she's surrounded by people who truly care for her. The home is clean, calm, and filled with compassion - it feels more like a family than a facility.

We can never fully express how much it means to know she's in such safe and loving hands. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Lenthall House

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Auntie arrived at Lenthall House in March and since her arrival I've visited 3-5 times per week, at all hours of the day.
Without exception, the care provision is excellent. The staff are exceptional in their genuine care for the residents and I know my Auntie is getting the most support and care
she or I could hope for.
It's not a new care home, so in places, the building can look a little tired and it doesn't sport trendy coffee machines or chandeliers. I don't care about those things - I pay more attention to the environment (which is cleaned rigorously through each day) as Lenthall house has spacious bedrooms, nice common areas and lovely gardens.
I care even more about the standard of care from the staff and the happiness of the residents (the real test). You cannot fault either.
The thought put into resident entertainment and engagement is superb. In 25 years, I'm booking in!
Highly recommended.

My mum was a resident of Arbor House for 9 months, prior to her passing in March. During the initial transition of mum finding herself in a care home, after leading an independent life, she could be a very difficult lady. However, the staff showed patience, compassion and I knew that mum was in a
safe and caring environment.
The staff are all very friendly and whilst mum didn't participate in many activities; there always seemed to be plenty to keep those, who were able and willing, active.
I would recommend anyone struggling with a loved one with dementia to entrust them into Arbor House.
