Have been in this care home since July 13th this year and the home is really nice and have settled into my home really well. The staff and management are brilliant and have made me really welcome in my new home.

Once again I am in debt to the wonderful team who care for my father at Cooper House. I have always been impressed by the professional way my dad is looked after and the extra lengths the staff go to treat him with dignity, compassion and affection but after a period of ill health recently, this was
heightened. It was recognised that he was unwell and medical advice regarding my dad was sought in a timely and appropriate way and he was quickly admitted to hospital. I was kept fully informed throughout this process. On returning to Cooper House, a member of staff discussed his discharge summary with me and showed total understanding of his condition and care required post-discharge to facilitate his recovery. Subsequently, he is recovering well,
Both myself and my brother live in the South West of England and are unable to visit our father often but have utter confidence that the Cooper House team will care for him to the high standard we would wish for him.

Always greeted warmly by staff, homely environment. Activities have improved now and activities coordinator has been employed. Home always clean and tidy although staff are busy they always find the time to talk to me when I visit. Prior to my grandma being admitted to Cooper House she was eating very
little and sleeping most of the day, since living at Cooper House she is much more alert and chatty and is eating small amounts which is a big improvement.

The home has a number of elderly residents, some who are frail and many with dementia and/or Alzheimer's. I visit unannounced usually as I live out of the area. Staff are always welcome and treat all the residents with respect and affection. Staff understand residents habits and treat each person as
individuals with respect. If there is any concern about a resident's health they contact the GP immediately. There appear to be good liaisons between local health centres and the home. My father is much happier here and relaxed.

Lack of entertainment and activities for residents They just sit around all day sleeping, staring at four walls. People with dementia are still human beings with feelings and have knowledge hidden. They remember the olden days. Why can't music be played for them in the rooms they sit in.
