Crown House Care Home is based in the heart of Oakham. It is a lovely little independent home that offers service users the feeling of safety, companionship and a place to feel and call their new home. It is just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the high street, an ideal location for those wishing to keep their independence and pop into town as they wish.

There is a wonderful dedicated team of care givers who have been trained to the highest standards that will assist all your needs.

Weekly activities are arranged which include arm-chair exercises, games, singers, flower arranging and many more activities. The team are always open to ideas and like to involve service users in the decision making of the entertainment provided.

A hairdresser comes every week. There is a wonderful physiotherapist who's been with Crown House for many years who delivers great care to all the home's residents. A podiatrist visits the home every 6 weeks.

Their cooks make fabulous homemade, tasty, nutritious meals each and every day, providing a three-course meal at lunch times where all service users gather in the beautiful, elegant dining room.

A fantastic location for the first step away from the family home this beautifully appointed residency is situated in the centre of town with easy access if wished, via a lift or stairs directly onto the High Street or to the twice-weekly market. Those residents not wishing to go out can see the hustle
and bustle of daily life below from large windows in the living room. Alternatively if they wish to sit quietly in the sun in the warmer months, there is a peaceful decking area on their level to the rear, with hanging baskets and beautiful tubs of flowers.
My mother has been a resident at Crown House since October 2010. She has just reached her 94th Birthday and the home has been SO wonderful. They have looked after her throughout her stay with such respectfulness, care and compassion. All staff know the residents' ways very well, looking after them as if they were their own family. I would not hesitate to recommend Crown House; it is truly a 'home from home'. The environment is luxurious with elegantly appointed community areas - but plain enough in bedrooms to make personal spaces individual and cosy. Staff dressed in uniforms are polite, conscientious and considerate. Communication between staff and myself has been very open and any concerns - no matter how minor- have been dealt with immediately and in a professional manor. 10/10
