Overall Experience
Having had some previous experience of care homes, I can honestly say that Crown House sets a standard that others can only aspire to. From the levels of quality furnishings and comfort of the private rooms and communal areas; through the high-class catering providing highly varied menus and top-quality food; to the professionalism and dedication of the whole team of caring staff - everything is akin to being looked after in a top-quality hotel. My father moved in here there months ago after finally giving up the struggle of living on his own. And the best accolade that can be paid to the Crown House team is that he is so much happier and healthier now following his move.

Overall Experience
A fantastic location for the first step away from the family home this beautifully appointed residency is situated in the centre of town with easy access if wished, via a lift or stairs directly onto the High Street or to the twice-weekly market. Those residents not wishing to go out can see the hustle and bustle of daily life below from large windows in the living room. Alternatively if they wish to sit quietly in the sun in the warmer months, there is a peaceful decking area on their level to the rear, with hanging baskets and beautiful tubs of flowers.
My mother has been a resident at Crown House since October 2010. She has just reached her 94th Birthday and the home has been SO wonderful. They have looked after her throughout her stay with such respectfulness, care and compassion. All staff know the residents' ways very well, looking after them as if they were their own family. I would not hesitate to recommend Crown House; it is truly a 'home from home'. The environment is luxurious with elegantly appointed community areas - but plain enough in bedrooms to make personal spaces individual and cosy. Staff dressed in uniforms are polite, conscientious and considerate. Communication between staff and myself has been very open and any concerns - no matter how minor- have been dealt with immediately and in a professional manor. 10/10
