Staff turnover is low, so the residents know them and they know the residents, the managers are also very attentive and them and their family are there most of the time.

My favourite thing is meals are cooked from scratch in the kitchen, no ready meals.

My husband came into Holly House towards the end of February this year. Madhia did a very detailed and professional introduction to Holly House and the services provided I was so happy that he was able to have a place. Denis had late stage dementia and was treated with the utmost care throughout this time before he passed away on 17/06 this year. Very person centred care. I was always kept up to date on medical happenings as they work very closely with the local medical centre and take a keen interest in this. The whole staff team from management & own continually strive to do the very best as a team and individually. I was treated and cared for so well throughout and in my husbands last few days.

Communication with residents and family is superb. Understanding of needs and adaptation of meals, sitting position and accommodation of residents and family is first-rate, even when residents have lost speech; staff always knew what was needed.

Dad had alway been clean, dressed and fed well by them, making him comfortable at all times. If you want a family run and good basic caring without all the flashy modern looking high spec home then give them a go and we haven't been disappointed with them.

An excellent standard of care in a very well managed and organised care home from truly caring staff who treat the residents with respect and dignity. After having visited many care homes when searching for 'the right one' for my mum, what really stands out is the calmness in the home; no shouting, raised voices or alarms going off. This is entirely due to the management and staff who know what they are doing in providing excellent care in a calm environment.

My mother has been a resident at Holly House for nearly two years. The staff are absolutely exemplary. We moved my mum from another care home, where we were extremely concerned about the level of care. Since moving, Mum's health and happiness has significantly improved. She is rarely ever agitated or distressed. Holly House is amazing.

My mum has been here since May 24, and we couldn't be happier. We moved Mum from a different home where we had serious concerns. She was dangerously underweight and displayed challenging physical behaviour. Within weeks of being here, she put weight on as they got her to eat and no longer displays aggressive behaviour. The staff and owners are truly lovely. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They show so much compassion and patience with mum, and always are welcoming and supportive, and we know mum is well cared for.

My partner is a resident at Holly House and, since moving here almost a year ago, has received excellent care. The management have long experience of elderly care and understood my partner's needs from the outset. She is happy here, and I am made welcome as well.

Well-run care home, excellent management with dedicated staff. The only fault is the lack of activities, but we have noticed this has improved recently. When my mother arrived, she was very challenging, but the manager persevered with her, and my mother eventually became very settled in the home. It's reassuring to know she is being properly cared for, and she is so much happier now. I would recommend Holly House.

Mum has been in Holly House for 5 years. I am only able to visit her every few months, but I am very happy that she is being well looked after and being well cared for. The staff and management are always welcoming and keep me informed of health issues and any concerns they may have. I would recommend Holly House if you are looking for a residential home to care for someone with dementia.

I was very satisfied with the standard of care at Holly House. The staff were approachable and friendly at all times. My mum was always happy to greet them. The staff were helpful and informative and provided a safe and secure environment for the residents, tailoring to their individual needs.

The communication with the home was very good, and included sending videos of Mum to keep me updated.

From the moment Mum moved into Holly House, she has been treated with care and dignity. Her room is made to feel like her space, and she has made a very special friend in the shared space in the lounge/dining room who she now considers part of her family, which is a very special bond, especially at this time for everyone. Any medical situation is dealt with immediately and professionally, and the family is kept informed at all times. We have regular video calls if we can't visit as often as I live abroad. I highly recommend Holly House as a safe and happy home

Mum has settled in to Holly House very well, the staff are very attentive, the food is always amazing, important days always involve a celebration including the whole home. Everybody is always clean and well turned out, the staff always have a smile and make you feel welcome and part of the family.

I am very pleased with care given to my dad. He can be very difficult at times, but all efforts are made to treat him with dignity and respect. I moved my dad to Holly House Residential Home from a previous care home where he really struggled to settle. Holly House is great for him and us. Also the food is very good. I have eaten here several times myself.

My wife has been a resident for over a year. During this time she has been happy. The management and carer staff have always been attentive to her welfare and needs. The premises are kept clean and hygienic. I remain happy with the care that continues to be taken for her well-being.

I was very satisfied with the care my mother received. She had complex care issues and the staff were always very kind and caring towards her. I felt that she was very safe and cared for. She was well fed and the staff took time to make sure she ate her food. The only improvement I can suggest is to have more staff at very busy times.

Holly House staff have cared wonderfully for my relatives these last three and a half years. She has been treated with kindness and consideration throughout and with particular care for her own special needs and condition. We, her family, have always been made very welcome. This is a very welcoming home with very caring staff.

The owners and staff at Holly House have provided unparalleled care for my poor mum. Her dementia has made her quite challenging to care for, but the carers have been infinitely patient and kind to her. Her physical needs are taken care of; she is being properly fed and has put on some weight; her overall condition is much improved. My wife and I looked at several local care homes in preparation for this day and Holly House was by far the best in our opinion.

Perfect place for my mother to live as the care is the best. The owners are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. The carers are superb and did everything they could for my mother. So glad that she was able to spend the last years of her life there.
