Staff very friendly, food fabulous, cleanliness good. Staff are always on hand if you need to talk, responsive to all needs. Good trips out for all residents. Residents are made to feel that Oakdene is their home, and I myself am made very welcome, feel like part of the family. Love the company and talking to residents. I would recommend anyone to come and stay here, allowed to join in games. Smiling faces always greet you at the door.

I visit my dad regularly and the staff are always pleasant and welcoming. This visit was my dad's birthday and myself, mum and aunty were invited to stay for tea. It was really lovely and my dad even had a birthday cake especially made! All the residents and staff sung Happy Birthday and the afternoon was so special and memorable.

I can’t praise the manager and his team enough for the excellent care they provide for my brother. Nothing is too much trouble for them. He was very reluctant to move there a few years ago because he doesn’t like change. He has never regretted it for a moment. I live 80 miles away so I have total peace of mind that he is truly well taken care of by everyone there. They have made me very welcome too when I have visited. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Oakdene Care Centre. Thank you for everything you do!

On our visit to Oakdene to visit my husband's sister, we were made to feel very welcome, having been greeted by friendly smiles from the staff. It was a party arranged by the family. Nothing was too much trouble for them. But the main reason for this review is their wonderful, caring attitude to the residents; it felt like they were all one big happy family.
Our relative is now living her best life, considering her diagnosis. She is much improved since living in Oakdene.

I know how difficult it can be working with people who have mental health problems, but these staff are brilliant. We saw no problem in the three hours that we spent there.

Cannot speak highly enough of Oakdene. The staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum has settled really well and loves getting involved in games etc. Always out - more than me! Brilliant now - set up the dining room with breakfast bar - like a hotel - promotes independence for everyone. Back to the old days of Mum making me tea!

My wife feels very settled at Oakdene of her condition it can be very challenging it can be very challenging for staff at time but they do their best in providing the care she needs. They keep a close eye on infections and one proactive which contribution to her mental health being more stable than it has in past. I appreciate that the past two and a half years with the pandemic has been a real challenge but the home has done its level best to keep the residents safe.

Oakdene is such a fantastic care home. The staff always go above and beyond for the residents and their families.
I am always made to feel very welcome and am always kept informed and updated about my stepdad on a regular basis.
The residents are always out and about on weekly trips, they are always kept busy and entertained. The new cinema room and entertainment room are absolutely brilliant. There’s been no expense spared to offer the residents such great facilities.
I can’t thank the management and staff enough for all their hard work they put into Oakdene and for making my stepdads life happier and enjoyable since he has been there.

Keep up the fantastic work, your the best. Thank you.

My father was admitted to Oakdene for a period of respite and was made very welcome from the start. He had complex mental and physical health issues and could be a handful but staff at Oakdene cared for him very well and kept me very well informed. I visited almost daily, the standard of care always remained high and I always felt he was safe there.

My sister-in-law has been a resident at Oakdene for a number of years now where she lives her life with freedom to do as is reasonable with guidance from the wonderful staff, who ensure her wellbeing. Knowing that she is in safe hands is not only beneficial to her but a great comfort to the extended family. The staff at Oakdene are almost like an extended part of our family who we trust implicitly. They always treat visiting family members with respect and friendliness and help our needs in addition to my sister-in-law's. The peace of mind, knowing that she is in safe hands is more than words can describe.

My sister has only been a resident here for a short time but first impressions are very good. My sister appears to have settled in well, the staff are extremely caring and sensitive to her needs, coping very well with her at times, challenging behaviour. We are always welcomed warmly when visiting and are confident that the move to Oakdene from the previous home was the right one.
