The are home is a lovely environment for residents and carers. Mum and dad had lovely downstairs rooms near each other. The staff kept them very comfortable. My mum needed a lot of personal care after her strokes. She needed multiple staff to use a hoist to dress her, toilet her and clean her. They
played music and games with her and encouraged her to sing. They were loving and friendly and respected her dignity.

When mum first came to Brockshill Woodlands almost a year ago, I was worried about her settling in okay. There was no need, after a few days she was made to feel so at home with the fantastic care she received. The staff are all so friendly, patient and caring, nothing is too much trouble. All residents
are treated with such dignity and respect, whilst I feel Health + Safety is always a priority. It's like a happy family and I'm glad we're part of it.
Keep up the good work, you are all amazing!!!

Little Acres is a haven for our relative after struggling in her previous placement.
The manager and her strong team are deserving of high praise.
The care, kindness and professionalism with which they treat residents is truly inspiring and after only a week in their care the improvement for our much
loved family member is already wonderful to see.
Little Acres thankyou from the bottom of our hearts.

Phoenix Park Care Village

from Tracey T (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5

My Dad was admitted here after hospital and a short stay in another setting (who were brilliant thank you)
The level of care he received in Hill Top was appalling we raised concerns with the manager and clinical lead held meetings with them to try and improve his care but it never improved.
Asking
simple questions about his weight loss and told that he had not been weighed so when we requested assisted feeding to increase his nutrition we we promised this would happen but I saw for myself this never happened.
As a family we understood this was never going to be a "home from home" environment and Dad brought some challenges most times he was a polite person, unfortunately he was not given any dignity or help not because of his condition but because the mangers chose not to provide this some of the staff were brilliant.
If you are reading reviews like I did 6 months ago please don't put anyone you love here.

Reply from diane Smith, Director at Phoenix Park Care Village

I am so sorry that our care fell well below our expectations and that of your family. I am grateful to you for raising these concerns and will immediately initiate an investigation into your concerns so that no other family has to suffer this level of distress.

Overall, this was a clean, spacious, well-laid-out care home. In particular, the day staff and medical staff were kind and treated residents with care and dignity. I think the variety of care needs can be overwhelming for the staff at times, and the night staff need improvement.

Fantastic, very caring environment, great facilities and staff that are on the ground. Seen an improvement in my Dads routine, he has more life to him now than when he was at home. Very well run and organised care home and that is a credit the care home manager, who is a very emotionally intelligent
leader, that has made a positive difference to the overall experience of the whole care home.

Rutland Care Village

from Elizabeth K (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 June 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5

My mother was moved to here from hospital. We knew from the consultant that she was not going to get the use of her legs and the infection was incurable. At least in hospital they have her some quality of life by getting her out of bed and outside. Here she was confined to a bed with the sides up to
stop her trying to get out. She hated the winch and was told she couldn't get up unless she used it and allowed a physio to assess her. In hospital they used an alternative for her and got her up. She had months of painful dressing changes in what appeared to be an attempt to 'cure' what what was incurable and her pain was really badly managed. Sometimes she would wait hours for overdue drugs. She had recently been registered blind and had dementia so needed help to eat but we often found alone and unable to reach her food or water. Worse, I found her left asleep, with food in her mouth! She was often left unable to reach her food, water or buzzer. Most staff seemed unaware of her needs.

My father was moved to Springhill from Blackburn hospital on 20th June and died today 22nd June He was very poorly and was on apallitive care plan
I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support given to him in the last 2 days
The attitude, respect and kindness shown to him was exemplary
.The staff were wonderful .He was able to tell us yesterday that he felt respected and his dignity was maintained, the staff were gentle when changing him far gentler than hospital.
There communication with him even though he was unclear in speech was brilliant . I can't speak highly enough of the care he recieved
The Enviroment is really nice ,clean and we were able to put his favorite pictures on the walls and personal items
The staff wereso lovely with my wife and myself
I Recommend this care home
Thank you to all the staff xxxxx

St Ogg's

from V P (Mother of Resident) published on 12 June 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My son has been at St Ogg's for almost three years. When first admitted he was not eating or taking his medication. His mental health was at rock bottom and he was very vulnerable. Within the first year at St Ogg's he gained weight and with taking his medication, his mental health improved enormously.
The staff were great and I find them very approachable and always willing to chat. My son seems very happy and the change in him is really lovely to see.

Review of

Lyndon Croft Care Centre

from Paul C (Friend of Resident) published on 4 June 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I have visited Lyndon Croft a number of times now to see a neighbour.
I have been very impressed with Lyndon Croft's standards of care, and the welcoming and friendly environment that they and their staff have created.
And, having visited other care homes over many years, and right up until now, I
cannot help but compare this home very favourably indeed.
The staff are always so welcoming and friendly, and even members you walk past will often greet you.
The neighbour I visit is stimulated by, and responds so well to their gentle kindly banter - which she needs (and deserves) as a mentally and physically active person with a lovely sense of humour.
The building itself is wonderful. Spacious, so clean, and with lovely places to sit and chat on visits - be it a nice large sitting room, or a large peaceful garden, but with the reassurance of safety and privacy.
The corridors are so thoughtfully decorated too, and each room even has a styled 'front door'. A lovely touch.
Well done all!

since i have been at St oggs care home, the care and support i have received since being in this lovely environment, i have found that staff and residents are living in unity together
since i have been here i have been able to utilize the facilities to their full extent of what it was,
i found that
i could do things in a home where support and continuous reliable standards are, i was to be able to move forward in much a better way in care that i have ever done before, this has given me the tools and skills to suit my journey once i decide to leave the home and settle back into a community environment, thank you to St Oggs Morton

Absolutely amazing what they have and are doing for my mother, three members of staff in particular and all staff have gone above and beyond to care for her and all the residents of the care home, social workers are trying to move my mother from there but will fight for her to stay, she's so settled
and not once asked to come home, so I no she's happy there

This facility is one of the best I have been in, and I should know as I have been in a few over the years. The management and staff are top-notch. My only gripe would be with the food menu but when catering to so many different needs, I can't really gripe at all.

Our friend has been in Kirklees for nearly 2 years now and is thriving ! It's a lovely place, the staff and management are lovely and caring.Although he keeps them on their toes, sometimes he enjoys a great rapport with both staff and residents!
We are welcomed too when we visit him and kept informed
of things regarding him..
He loves the food (it smells delicious when we go) and is encouraged to be a bit more independent,he's enjoyed a few trips out and there are parties for Christmas, birthdays etc quite often ..
