My mother has been a resident for 5 half years at Fir Close. She is now on end of life care for advanced dementia and related health issues. The staff is caring, kind and knowledgeable. I feel supported in my role as Mum's only living child. I visit frequently and always find Mum well-looked after.
The staff obviously know her well and anticipate her needs. They have always listened to her.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum was under the care of Barons Park for a short period of time but all staff were diligent, attentive and caring throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and time was taken to get to know Mum therefore understanding her specific needs. As her family we were supported throughout too, contact was
maintained when necessary and staff were open and honest.

Birch Green Care Home

from Paula C (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I can't praise Emma and her team enough, my mother lived on her own until she was 94. Moving into a care home was not what she wanted, however it was what she needed. The home does more than care for their residents, they care for the family. My sister and I have had meetings with Emma and Jill and
they've understood how we feel and explain the reasons behind mums behaviour when she moved in.
Mum after 4 months has finally settled and the unique things Birchgreen do for residents is unbelievable. I can't thank them enough, for anyone who wants an extended family, this is the place to trust your loved ones to. Residents are treated with care and respect, I will also say love as I've seen it myself. Thank you forever grateful xx

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We absolutely cannot fault The Old Rectory. Mum in Law has been so much happier since living there and has now been a resident for just over a year. Her health and wellbeing continue to be good, and she has made many friends. The staff are Wonderful and very supportive and as a family we know that Mum
is safe and cared for. The Old Rectory is a busy home and there are always activities for residents to join in with. We feel reassured by the photos posted on social media too and it's lovely to see Mum so happy.

My mum receives excellent care. The staff make the home so friendly and welcoming to the residents family and visitors. I feel very reassured that my mum is safe and looked after. The activities are the best around.

I am coming to the end of my stay & I would like to praise all members of staff for treating me with nothing but kindness & dignity during my stay. They could predict when I needed more help during my stay. For one part of my stay I was ill with sickness when one person stayed with me as much as he
could, he even tried to work out what I could take as sustenance, so he blitzed something up for me to drink. Where I would be without this care I do not know. The remainder of the time I was treated like a friend, without avoiding giving the utmost care. I stayed from June 2025-Dec2025

My husband has been into Overfields for respite twice. He was cared for with the utmost kindness and respect by all of the staff, his personal care and his room was always clean and tidy. They took time to engage with him asking him about his life, which he loved. He really enjoyed both of his stays
and will not hesitate to take him for respite in the future - all in all excellent staff and facilities.

Springhill Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Springhill Care Home has been absolutely excellent in the care they provide for my mum. She is currently back living there following a recent hospital admission, and once again the staff have shown outstanding dedication, kindness, and professionalism.
This is not the first time Springhill has cared
for my mum. On a previous stay, they nursed her back to health so well that she was able to return home in between her stays, which meant so much to both her and our family.
The staff are caring, attentive, and genuinely compassionate, always treating my mum with dignity and respect. We have complete confidence in the care she receives, and it is incredibly reassuring to know she is in such safe and capable hands.
I cannot recommend Springhill Care Home highly enough and am deeply grateful for everything they do.
Reply from Deborah Bennett, Manager at Springhill Care HomeThank you for such a lovely review. It really does show what a great team of staff, we have working at Springhill care home.

My experience of Fir Close and its staff are friendly and approachable if we have any concerns regarding in my case, my sister, who has down syndrome & stage two dementia. The staff are always willing to listen and take on board any concerns I have. We had a few hiccups when my sister first went into
Fir Close, but talking with the staff sorted them out. The cleanliness of the home is excellent, and so is the food they serve. My sister's room is cosy and has everything she needs: wardrobe space and drawers, etc. The reception facility are also good with plenty of activities for the residents.

My wife and I visited Charnwood Oaks prior to our friend, who had pancreatic cancer, being admitted. We were given a tour of the whole facility and came to the conclusion that it would be suitable for our friend as we could not fault it in any way.
Our friend was a resident for about six weeks prior
to her death and we could not fault any aspect of the facility.
The carers were most professional, with some going above and beyond their duty.
When visiting, we were always warmly greeted and given an update on our friend's condition.
Thank you for everything.

5-Star Review - The Old Rectory Care Home
Seeing my Nan flourish again has been one of the greatest joys for our family, and it's all thanks to the incredible team at The Old Rectory. Before moving here, she often seemed lost and withdrawn, but now it's as if she's ten years younger. She's back to
her fun, lively self-dancing, chatting, laughing, and getting involved with everything going on around her.
The transformation has been truly amazing. The staff have shown such genuine care, patience, and dedication, and it's clear they've taken the time to understand what she needs to feel happy and confident again. She absolutely adores them, and we can see why-they've created a warm, safe, and joyful environment where she feels valued and supported.
We can't thank The Old Rectory enough for giving our Nan her spark back. It means the world to us. Highly, highly recommend.

St. Michael's has got mum singing again!!
For years, living alone, mum always said she couldn't sing anymore (she used to sing professionally). We just accepted it - old age robs one of a lot.
Imagine my suprise and delight when, after 6 months of living at St. Michael's, I heard that old familiar,
beautiful voice - the one she thought she'd lost- singing her little heart out!!
This is what St. Michael's does for it's residents.
They are so well cared for in every respect, the atmosphere, the good food, the cleanliness, the friendliness, and the professionalism can only have one outcome - contented, happy, secure residents who have found the best care home in Lincolnshire!!
A huge thank you to you all.
