St Michael's

from Brian F (Son of Resident) published on 18 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The care given to my mother is excellent. She is in a wheelchair but brought daily into the lounge / dining area by staff for meals and social connection and they always ensure the residents are happy and their needs being looked after. The staff are friendly and helpful and always have time for a chat
with the residents and visitors alike.

The care home ensure there is regular entertainment, walks around the village, trips out and so on. They also ensure regular visits from hairdressers, chiropodists, vaccinations are up to date and so on.

I'm very pleased with the level of care my mother receives and I have piece of mind knowing she is happy there!

Peaker Park Care Village

from N W (Son of Resident) published on 12 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
What Peaker Park lacks in terms of stunning location is eclipsed by the quality of care. My father was a resident for just over a year, admitted due to the advancement of Parkinsons. Within days of his admission, he was much calmer & soon became settled and contented, which had sadly not been the case
for some while.
As a family, we cannot thank the staff enough, they were without exception caring, attentive & thoroughly engaged with residents in their care.
It is noteworthy that within his time in the home, there were very few staff changes, a testament to the management and wider team.
A particular mention to Chantelle, who was the lead carer throughout, from greeting him on admission she looked beyond his worsening condition and was a great advocate in navigating the complexities surrounding the bureaucracy associated with getting the best possible care for a loved one.
The support and care at end of life for my father and the family was phenomenal, and truly appreciated.

My cousin went to Peaker Park in December 2023, we thought she had a few weeks to live. She had medical problems that are usually non-survivable, she had been neglecting herself. The staff and nursing care were second to none. Her health improved beyond belief and the comfort and attention they give
is admirable. Always so kind. She had 2 years more quality life. We will always be grateful and recommend them.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Gilby House has been a fantastic home for my mum and has allowed me to breathe again without worrying about my mum 24/7 and her welfare and the welfare of others. My mum is very challenging with end stage dementia and sever behavioural issues at times, but the staff seem to have never ending patience
and understanding with her however challenging. I am eternally grateful to have found Gilby House to provide my mum with safe loving care at an extremely difficult time for me personally following the death of my dad.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Choosing a home for dad was a hard decision, but the different in Tanworth Court made was second to none, after moving dad from the other facility the transition was like night + day, from the day he arrived Lisa hit the ground running, day 3 I was given a copy of his care plan, the information she
gained was amazing, also by day 4 all refferals had been requested. The team are exceptionally warm hearted but the leadership of Lisa serves special recognition. List is firm but incredibly fair she leads an adorable team that follow her excellent examples. The genuine care the team shows for dad, means as a family we do not have to be there 24-7. Lisa keeps me updated alongside his keyworker. Thank you Lisa and the whole team, our appreciation for what you do is beyond words.

Cherry Tree Lodge

from Caroline J (Mother of Resident) published on 27 February 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The home is cosy, everything provided is done with consideration for a homely environment. The manager is very special, supportive, intuitive, knowledgeable, fun and empathetic. My daughter loves her. I have enormous respect for her. There are many very good carers indeed, the manager supports her staff.
My daughter is content and happy. The nursing staff and management supported us through my daughters illness in 2024 and the manager was vigilant and picked up any problems following so they were sorted. Staff understand the individual needs of everyone. We as a family are so relieved that our daughter has her needs met with fun and kindness. A covered area outside would be beneficial so they could enjoy fresh air and the garden but protected from the sun. Also if musicians or singers come more often to entertain them. Sammy could pay towards that our of her spending money.

My husband has been in Barons Park Nursing Home since August 2025. He has settled well and I am very happy with the care he has received. The staff are all caring and work well as a team. There are always plenty of staff on the unit and engaging with the residents.
The atmosphere is very homely and
welcoming.
Ryan, the manager is seen regularly around the home and is very approachable. He clearly likes to get to know each resident.
The food is cooked on the premises and is excellent.

St Michael's

from Phil E (Son of Resident) published on 16 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The care my father received at St. Michael's was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff there. All staff, not just the carers treated my father extremely respectfully, taking care to understand his wishes and taking the time to talk to him about his life.
As family, I was always
made to feel very welcome and the staff always knew exactly how my father had been that day. Whenever my father's condition worsened, I received calls from St. Michael's to inform me, giving me the confidence that they were monitoring him closely.
On the day that he passed, the staff were extremely supportive and helped me a lot.
Placing my father in the care of St. Michael's was the best decision I could have made, both for him and for me.
Thank you so much, all of you.

Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My husband was a resident for just over a year. At the beginning, he was difficult to deal with as quite violent and tending to wander. During the year, due to the care and kindness of all staff, he became quieter, calmer and settled. I believe the senior care leader, Chantelle, has a very positive
influence and went above and beyond in every respect. The residents were treated as family with their varying needs met. As my husband deteriorated and needed nursing care, this too was excellent. The care for him and the family as he died was absolutely amazing. I cannot thank everyone enough.

I was entirely satisfied with my husbands care. He was kept beautifully clean and comfortable in spite of not moving out of the bed for years (his choice). The staff were attentive and pleasant and could always make him smile. He was changed regularly. MC contacted me immediately if there was any problem.
Staff were always available if I needed to discuss anything.

Mum was in Overfields for nearly 2 years . We felt as a family that we had mum back . Mum went out on day trips which we did not think would happen . The care is excellent , especially for complex needs / mental health . Mum was placed on end of life care in december. All staff treated mum with dignity,
respect , compassion , empathy , mum was never alone , and passed away peacefully where she wanted to be
My mum passed away in a place she called home , we cannot express our thanks enough and to highly recommend .
Mum was happy , and very well looked after , always clean , nothing was to much trouble for the staff .
5 stars .

My husband was a resident in the home for three weeks, during which time he was treated with dignity, kindness and respect. The staff were always helpful and could not do enough to ensure his comfort in a warm and friendly manner. A lot of thought has gone into providing activities as part of care.
My thanks to you all.

I am very happy with the way mum was taken care of at Carnwood Oaks. It is a clean, properly run home with a high standard of care given. The staff were very supportive and approachable when my mum sadly passed away. I had no concerns about her care.

St Michael's

We are so grateful to St Michael's and the fabulous staff who supported my Grandmother during a respite stay. From the moment we contacted St Michael's they went above and beyond to help us: helping with the transition and discharge from hospital, ensuring a speedy start date was arranged and completing
forms etc.
Upon arrival, my Gran received the warmest welcome with carers helping her in and getting her settled into the room. Carers demonstrated such respect and dignity for her, with diabetics needs supported through regular communication with the appropriate nurse teams.
She rebuilt her strength and independence at a pace that allowed her to return home after a few weeks. The social opportunities were fantastic too - flower arranging, ice cream van visits, Xmas meals out, bingo and songs/ music!! Wonderful!! Gran told us how tasty the food was and enjoyed the variety of meals.
The home was always clean, warm and warm welcoming - a home from home!
Thank you so much to the team!

Staff very friendly and sympathetic to me in view of the circumstances, rooms very clean and allowed to stay as long as I wanted, keeping in mind my partner was suffering very badly from the effects of the severe disease that is dementia.
