Reviews

9.3 The Mount has a Review Score of 9.3 (9.282)

The Review Score of 9.3 (maximum of 10) for The Mount is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 4 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for The Mount in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.532 for The Mount is calculated as follows: ( (28 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 4.532

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.75 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Mount is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.75

    2. Target of 3.8 positive Reviews (19 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 4 Reviews ÷ 3.8 Target Reached = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

When I have visited my sister-in-law, she always looks well cared for. She is eager to tell me of outings they have made eg. to garden centres, of places of interest, taken to church.
The staff are very kind and have outings to Scarborough with other residents and will leave my sister-in-law with a carer and we will have lunch together and then she is picked up and goes to the seaside. When my sister-in-law has been in hospitalised, we are very well informed. I feel confident that my sister-in-law's needs are well met healthwise and general well-being.

Very satisfied. Our daughter is treated by staff in a respectful friendly manner and is encouraged to participate in activities that enhance her well-being and social skills.
A special mention is needed regarding the main key worker who is outstanding in all aspects of her work. She is also very supportive to us as parents.
The Mount is well-managed and offers a friendly, homely and safe environment to all residents.

My brother came to The Mount for respite in March 2017 he has severe learning difficulties and is profoundly deaf. I have seen my brother thrive at The Mount after his most traumatic experience of being burgled.
He is now interested when promoted to consider his own personal hygiene which he had seriously neglected whilst living semi-independently. The staff at The Mount have been so supportive in all of my brother's needs and he is very happy being there. The staff are incredibly professional and so caring and approachable there is a constant comfortable atmosphere at The Mount is really a true home.
