Peaker Park Care Village

My Father was sent to Peaker Park from hospital after being diagnosed with Dementia and then suffering a bad fall at home. He was immediately welcomed by staff and gently settled in his new room. I was also shown such kindness by everyone at an unsettling time. Dad stayed at Peaker Park for 18 months and I cannot fault the care he was given, particularly in his last few months. He was treated like family and I knew he felt safe because he would always give a cheeky smile to all the staff who greeted him! My children were welcomed when they visited which gave us all precious time with their Gramps. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the time, care and attention they gave to my dad and all of my family.

The staff were all wonderful and very caring I could not fault them, but my experience with the night staff was completely different. I was not impressed. He also stated he was slapped at night!

Very nice place to visit when are dad who was on end of life very clean great staff who also looked after are dad very happy overall if any body was looking into coming to Peaker park village I would highly rate it overall on everything what we where shown for are dad very happy

My mum moved into Peakers Park in March 2026 and had been quite poorly. The staff were all amazing and through their care Mum actually perked up a bit. The result of this was that my brother and I got another 4 months to spend with mum - visits that included chats, giggles, talking to mum about her life, affirmations of love and the ability to be son & daughter again, rather than caregivers. We will be forever grateful. The staff always had time to talk to us and answer our questions and helped us through Mum's end of life care with honesty and compassion. I would not hesitate to recommend Peaker's Park and the people that work there.

My friend has dementia and i worried about her wandering around but every member of staff knew her and acknowledged her and looked out for her - impressive for such a large home.

All of the staff are extremely caring and supportive! ! I can not praise them enough and would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone ! The obvious care from all of them to all residents makes it a very pleasant place to visit every time !

I could mention loads of things that are great but i really cant see the point of going through them all as everything is great, but will mention the standard of care the kindness to residents and visitors the activities of all kinds to occupy them and just the general atmosphere and cleanliness of the place has just blown me away, i just think i am so lucky that my dear Sister Lesley has a place in such a wonderful care home she is so much calmer and relaxed now, thank you so much to all the staff there and i mean them all from reception all the way through so professional but also so caring Thank You.

My mother has been in this home for over two years, yes there has been the odd hiccup but any problems have been sorted quickly and professionally, day to day mum has been looked after by a team who are friendly and seem to care, not only for mum but for me when I've had a worrying time.

Following sectioning and 2 months in hospital (psychiatric) my husband was discharged on end of life care. He has slowly faded over 4 mths and is now entirely dependent on the lovely carers at Peaker Park. The young staff are patient, caring and tender, and it is so reassuring to see the young men showing such qualities, with the female staff. When problems occur (falls, suitable bed) they are quickly addressed. A wonderful birthday cake was produced by the kitchen for his 95th birthday.

A big thank you to all the staff for making me reassured my mum is getting the best care, is safe and as comfortable as can be.

The support and care at end of life for my father and the family was phenomenal, and truly appreciated.

My cousin went to Peaker Park in December 2023, we thought she had a few weeks to live. She had medical problems that are usually non-survivable, she had been neglecting herself. The staff and nursing care were second to none. Her health improved beyond belief and the comfort and attention they give is admirable. Always so kind. She had 2 years more quality life. We will always be grateful and recommend them.

My husband was a resident for just over a year. At the beginning, he was difficult to deal with as quite violent and tending to wander. During the year, due to the care and kindness of all staff, he became quieter, calmer and settled. I believe the senior care leader, Chantelle, has a very positive influence and went above and beyond in every respect. The residents were treated as family with their varying needs met. As my husband deteriorated and needed nursing care, this too was excellent. The care for him and the family as he died was absolutely amazing. I cannot thank everyone enough.

My sister was a resident for twenty months, suffering from Alzheimer's dementia and she was thoroughly well looked after by all the staff. She eventually succumbed to Alzheimer's, but the staff looked after her brilliantly right to the very end.

Exemplary. The manager of the unit is superb. Staff are exceptionally helpful and are keen to excel in all they enjoy doing. The professionalism in all areas of care are outstanding. Well run in every respect. Meals are a delight. Peaker Park Care Village is pre-emenent, the highest standards prevail. Highly recommend this care home.

I would like to add that my late Mother in Law, who had Alzheimer's, was cared for in Peaker Park for 6 years. We were very happy with her care.

Mum was moved to Peaker Park for the last week of her life. The home is so calm and the staff go above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with dignity and thought in mind to the very end. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done. A truly wonderful place and team. Thank you.
