My dad has settled in lovely and is sleeping so well. The food's great too! The staff here have been amazing, so kind and helpful, not only to my dad but to me. I feel so happy to know my dad is being very well taken care of. Dad has already made friends with lots of the residents. Mentally, he continues
to improve. Management is a credit to the home. She has gone above and beyond and makes sure my dad is happy.

My father was a resident from August 2023 until his death in April 2026. Although initially not happy about needing residential care, he soon settled in, began to interact with other residents and formed a rapport with the staff. I was always impressed with the care and kindness of the staff. Several
carers said my father was a popular resident, they enjoyed caring for him and they showed great compassion during his final days.

The staff that cared for my mother during her 15 months at Charnwood Oaks were wonderful. From the first day she was made to feel welcome & treated with respect & kindness. From entering the home, you can see how clean & well kept it is, many of her relatives commented abut this. My mum loved the wide
variety of food that was served & enjoyed the lovely restaurant. She was kept happy & motivated by the amazing entertainment staff who work so hard to keep all the residents active & happy. My mum made lots of new friends during her stay & we will always be so grateful to all concerned.

We recently got back in contact with my mother with the help and support from the staff at Oaklands they made it very easy to visit, and make contact. I am very impressed with how safe and secure the home is as I have been stopped and asked questions. The staff are very friendly always willing to help
and talk to me about my mothers health. The home is very clean and well maintained, they have bought her clothes and toiletries and made her room a home from home. I would definitely recommend Oaklands care home for the friendly caring staff and security.

My dad has been much happier and settled since moving into Oakland's. He was struggling to look after himself and his home in the community. He is now managing much better with his personal health, hygiene and keeping his room tidy.
If anything could be improved it would be the clothes washing system
a lot of clothes do go missing even when labelled and the laundry room does look quite chaotic.
Other than that the current staff are pleasant and helpful and do a good/ at times difficult job that is not as well recognised as it should be!

I would sincerely like to thank Charnwood Oaks care home. lNothing was too much trouble for the staff looking after my wife, and they always treated her with compassion and dignity.
Although she had Alzheimer's, she was able to connect with staff and have a smile and a chuckle.
Staff were caring and
considerate and always updated me as to how my wife had been getting on. They were able to find food that she enjoyed eating and which suited her changing needs.
The home was clean and staff were efficient and kind, alway asking about my wellbeing too.
I am grateful that my wife seemed happy there and that the whole family were well informed and could be there at the end of her time.
I was very happy with all aspects of the care she received.

We are so grateful for the care Mum received at Charnwood Oaks in her last few months of life. Staff were always so kind and respectful to our family as a whole, and they treated Mum professionally and with great compassion. Everyone at the home was friendly and welcoming and we were pleased we had
found such a homely environment for Mum's medical needs to be met.
Staff easily adapted Mum's care to meet her changing needs and sought timely medical advice as necessary. Mum was kept comfortable throughout her time there.
Our family appreciated being kept informed of any change with Mum in a timely way, and this enabled us all to be present at the end of her life which was managed peacefully and with great dignity.
Thank you Charnwood Oaks for making a difficult time for our family feel as supported and well- managed as possible.

What Peaker Park lacks in terms of stunning location is eclipsed by the quality of care. My father was a resident for just over a year, admitted due to the advancement of Parkinsons. Within days of his admission, he was much calmer & soon became settled and contented, which had sadly not been the case
for some while.
As a family, we cannot thank the staff enough, they were without exception caring, attentive & thoroughly engaged with residents in their care.
It is noteworthy that within his time in the home, there were very few staff changes, a testament to the management and wider team.
A particular mention to Chantelle, who was the lead carer throughout, from greeting him on admission she looked beyond his worsening condition and was a great advocate in navigating the complexities surrounding the bureaucracy associated with getting the best possible care for a loved one.
The support and care at end of life for my father and the family was phenomenal, and truly appreciated.

My cousin went to Peaker Park in December 2023, we thought she had a few weeks to live. She had medical problems that are usually non-survivable, she had been neglecting herself. The staff and nursing care were second to none. Her health improved beyond belief and the comfort and attention they give
is admirable. Always so kind. She had 2 years more quality life. We will always be grateful and recommend them.

My nanna was here for many years and was cared for above and beyond mangers was quick to resolve anything that was brought up with up most respect and care the staff was absolutely fantastic and cared for my Nan has if she was there own

My husband has been in Barons Park Nursing Home since August 2025. He has settled well and I am very happy with the care he has received. The staff are all caring and work well as a team. There are always plenty of staff on the unit and engaging with the residents.
The atmosphere is very homely and
welcoming.
Ryan, the manager is seen regularly around the home and is very approachable. He clearly likes to get to know each resident.
The food is cooked on the premises and is excellent.

My husband was a resident for just over a year. At the beginning, he was difficult to deal with as quite violent and tending to wander. During the year, due to the care and kindness of all staff, he became quieter, calmer and settled. I believe the senior care leader, Chantelle, has a very positive
influence and went above and beyond in every respect. The residents were treated as family with their varying needs met. As my husband deteriorated and needed nursing care, this too was excellent. The care for him and the family as he died was absolutely amazing. I cannot thank everyone enough.
