My husband was a resident in the home for three weeks, during which time he was treated with dignity, kindness and respect. The staff were always helpful and could not do enough to ensure his comfort in a warm and friendly manner. A lot of thought has gone into providing activities as part of care.
My thanks to you all.

I am very happy with the way mum was taken care of at Carnwood Oaks. It is a clean, properly run home with a high standard of care given. The staff were very supportive and approachable when my mum sadly passed away. I had no concerns about her care.

My mum was under the care of Barons Park for a short period of time but all staff were diligent, attentive and caring throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and time was taken to get to know Mum therefore understanding her specific needs. As her family we were supported throughout too, contact was
maintained when necessary and staff were open and honest.

I am coming to the end of my stay & I would like to praise all members of staff for treating me with nothing but kindness & dignity during my stay. They could predict when I needed more help during my stay. For one part of my stay I was ill with sickness when one person stayed with me as much as he
could, he even tried to work out what I could take as sustenance, so he blitzed something up for me to drink. Where I would be without this care I do not know. The remainder of the time I was treated like a friend, without avoiding giving the utmost care. I stayed from June 2025-Dec2025

My wife and I visited Charnwood Oaks prior to our friend, who had pancreatic cancer, being admitted. We were given a tour of the whole facility and came to the conclusion that it would be suitable for our friend as we could not fault it in any way.
Our friend was a resident for about six weeks prior
to her death and we could not fault any aspect of the facility.
The carers were most professional, with some going above and beyond their duty.
When visiting, we were always warmly greeted and given an update on our friend's condition.
Thank you for everything.

Grandma has improved so much since her arrival at Holmes Court. She has gone from not wanting to be there, to being happy, getting healthier and stronger and eating and drinking everything that is put in front of her. River is open and honest, keeps us well informed, made us very welcome and has dealt
with complicated matters quickly, efficiently and made her to priority keeping our grandma safe, happy and healthy. The staff are friendly and make you feel so welcome, and the building is well kept, clean but also so welcoming, like a home from home. The environment is very dementia friendly, whilst also feeling homely and cosy. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a warm, safe, and happy environment for their relative, or for themselves.

My dad came to Baron's Park in March 2025 from a hospice ward in a hospital. He had a prognosis of just weeks. However the care, companionship and wonderful nursing he had at Baron's Park meant he rallied, and we had six more months with him. The staff at the home were welcome and friendly from the
start. Nothing was too much trouble and they took time to get to know us as well as my dad. Visiting was easy and virtually unlimited and every interaction between staff and my dad was respectful and friendly. My dad was staunchly opposed to going into a care home but had no other option, however, he soon felt so at home there he was happy to be there. On the day he died, I was looked after so well, tea, toast and hugs from the staff who had got to know my dad. The whole experience meant that the end of my dad's life was peaceful, calm and safe. I cannot thank Ryan and the team enough

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Dad had been a resident of the care home for a couple of years. The staff are extremely very good at caring for the residents. I have had experience of other care homes that previously cared for my dad. I have to say that Barons Park is by far the best care home when it comes to quality of care and
putting the residents needs first. The food is very good and the cooks that work in the kitchens are also fantastic. My dad had special diet needs so food needed to be pureed. The care home invested in there kitchen staff to train them to produce this food in a way that it actually resembled what the food should look like. In my opinion if you are looking for a very good care home to look after your loved one then look no further than Barons Park care home. I would happily recommend this care home to anyone.

At a very stressful time, the care staff were both patient and understanding. Nothing was too much to ask. However there were times when the shortage of staff had an impact on everyone, including my mother.
I would say that the nursing home was shabby and lacklustre with blinds at windows broken and
storage facilities again shabby. Cleanliness could be improved, as could safety for residents, as several times another person entered my Mother's room and went to sleep in a chair or stood and looked at her. Also a number of times the call button didn't work or was not answered, causing my mother to feel some concern in the evenings.
Reply from diane Smith, Director at Charnwood OaksOn behalf of the home and company, could I please offer my apologies that standards fell below the expected standards and that your family endured undue distress as a result. I will ask my team to review your concerns to ensure that we learn from any errors we may have made and to ensure that other families do not have the same experience.Thank you for taking the time to complete this review.

My uncle himself reported the carers at Charnwood Oaks as being wonderful to him. As a family we have been very grateful for the kindness, understanding, caring and patience given to my uncle throughout his stay as well as the high level of professional standard of care he received. Many thanks from
all of us.
