Mum spent the last 18-20 months of her life in St Michael's care home where she was very well cared for.
The staff do an incredible job in very difficult circumstances and we will be forever grateful .

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum-in-Law moved into the home earlier this year and has settled in very well. She enjoys the food and the wide range of activities on offer. There is a choice of rooms for her to sit in, including a large TV lounge and a quiet library room. She also has her own private en-suite room, which is very
comfortable. The staff are very caring, respectful and professional.

The Old Rectory

from K M (Son of Resident) published on 1 December 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
The Old Rectory at Stickney, Lincs, has been caring for my mother, for the better part of three years. It has been a tough time for as she slides further into dementia and a loss of mobility. Over the last 12 to 18 months, this care home has in my opinion, gone from average to very good care. The staff
are delightful, and seem to be far happier now, than they were a couple of years ago. The residents now have a wide range of activities to partake in, much more than previously. The fabric of the building and fitments, are steadily improved or renewed. The staff are always very polite and friendly to visitors, which really helps at times when visits are difficult. My mother is far happier than previously, and always praises the staff to us. I wasnt sure previously if the Old Rectory was the best fit for her. However since the change of managemwnt, i am convinced now that it is indeed the best place for her care.

I am 70 years old, and retired to the sea. My sister was in a care home, I asked her if she would retire to the sea with me, as we already had a sister giving here, we chose Seacroft, from day 1 of seeing her home, the greeting we had was perfect, the home perfect, when I visit my sister the staff are
so pleasant, smiley faces and very helpful, I put my trust in all the staff, that my sister will be cared for in every sese and description of the word "care". Thank you to all concerned, my sister is special to me!

Our son recently moved into Clarence House and from the outset the communication, understanding of his needs and formulation of his care plan has been excellent.
We cannot fault the care he has received from admission through the ongoing assessment of his needs and provision of the appropriate care
.
Every single member of staff has been kind, friendly and welcoming.
The leadership team are approachable and flexible whilst always making safety an absolute priority .
It is a huge relief for us as parents to feel our son is finally safe and leading a far more fulfilling life than he has done for years .

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My son has been at St Ogg's for almost three years. When first admitted he was not eating or taking his medication. His mental health was at rock bottom and he was very vulnerable. Within the first year at St Ogg's he gained weight and with taking his medication, his mental health improved enormously.
The staff were great and I find them very approachable and always willing to chat. My son seems very happy and the change in him is really lovely to see.

since i have been at St oggs care home, the care and support i have received since being in this lovely environment, i have found that staff and residents are living in unity together
since i have been here i have been able to utilize the facilities to their full extent of what it was,
i found that
i could do things in a home where support and continuous reliable standards are, i was to be able to move forward in much a better way in care that i have ever done before, this has given me the tools and skills to suit my journey once i decide to leave the home and settle back into a community environment, thank you to St Oggs Morton

Since the appointment of the previous and current manager the home has improved considerably. There are more activities for the residents and the whole attitude of the staff has improved. A few flowers around has made a difference. More physical exercise would be good for all the residents such as walks
around the village. The resident does not give as much input.

We cannot fault The Old Rectory and the care that mum is getting. Mum's health and well being have improved hugely in the short time that she has been a resident. The staff are wonderful, and are so supportive of mum's needs, but also of us her family. The manager has been absolutely brilliant, and
so helpful, and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit. The home is warm, cosy and friendly, clean and tidy. There are always activities for residents to join in with which mum absolutely loves, and she is also enjoying the social interactions with the other residents and staff. We feel reassured as a family that mum is in the best hands and mum is the happiest she has been for a long time.
