My experience of the nursing home from when my sister entered is that all the staff are extremely courteous, welcoming and very helpful and friendly. Extra attention is paid to resident's with lots of photos of friends and loved ones at special events over the year. The residents all appear to be treated
with great care and dignity.

Birch Green Care Home has looked after my husband with dementia from when I became too ill to continue. He was treated with dignity and respect and settled in well. The staff were so welcoming, kind and compassionate. I cannot thank them enough for the care they have given. My husband enjoyed the varied
activities and we thought the food was excellent. He was living in Birch Green for almost 18 months until he passed away recently.

I cannot speak too highly about the quality of the staff at Birch Green.
They are caring, compassionate and dedicated.
The home is spotless and my father is always clean and comfortable when I visit.

My mum was admitted to respite in July by managers, and they were literally like angels in a time of extreme distress in the family, but especially Mum. She has a number of health conditions but has vascular dementia, which is deteriorating very quickly, and decreasing mobility from a non-healing leg
ulcer. The home has helped her in every possible way when other services have let us down. Every member of staff has been so lovely, caring and professional. The home is friendly and has amazing facilities, but more than anything, it makes the residents feel safe and loved. Thank you.

My husband entered the care home on February 2nd, 2024. From the first day, he was welcomed by members of staff and settled immediately. He became bedridden and was looked after with care and compassion by everyone.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the understanding and care received. Sadly he
died on the 21st of April with both myself and his sons by his side.

Our family would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Birch Green Care Home who looked after our 98-year-old aunt while she was a resident for several months recovering from a broken hip.
We are so grateful for the meticulous care and genuine love everyone at Birch Green gave our aunt.
All the staff treated her as you would a much-loved family member. Nothing was too much for them as she gradually failed to respond.
The doctors and nurses who visited her were amazing and kept us updated regarding her health. The care staff who kept encouraging her to eat and try to walk again were sensitive and showed wonderful patience and understanding.
Birch Green is an excellent example of how caring for elderly people should be done.

I visited Birch Green with my friend whose relative is in the care home. It was on the afternoon of the afternoon tea on 1st April for all residents. The rooms were set up just like a lovely cafe, with cake stands etc. on every table. There was a singer successfully getting residents to join in. All
of the staff were amazing in interacting with residents and guests as well as dancing with residents. The atmosphere was wonderful and the care I witnessed exemplary. Thank you, I felt very emotional when I left.

After a 6-week stay in hospital Mum moved into Birch Green for end-of-life care.
Mum was well looked after in Birch Green. She enjoyed her little chats with her carers and the domestic team, her personal care was always taken care of. Information and updates always available. As a family we can only
thank the team for their kindness and care during Mum's stay. Mum sadly passed away on 24th December 2023. Thank you all for caring.

Putting someone in a home is never easy, but I am so glad I chose here for my father. Through their care he has come so far in a couple of weeks, more than we thought possible. Staff are really friendly, hard working and brilliant with residents nothing is too much trouble and always keep you updated

Birch Green Care Home had availability when we hit a crisis point in our care provision for Mum recently and were incredibly helpful and supportive during what was, for us, a traumatic decision to place her for respite. We were shown an immaculately clean room by friendly and caring staff and met with
kindness throughout. There was a tangible feeling of care being provided to all residents by all staff. Mum’s improvement in mood, mobility, interaction and general well-being has been such that we realise we are unable to provide the level of stimulation and 24-hour care in a safe environment that she is experiencing at Birch Green and have taken the decision to extend her stay indefinitely.

All of the staff have provided exceptional care, support and affection to my mother who has been in the nursing home since July 2023. The family are so thankful for how comfortable they made her feel and nothing was ever too much trouble. They arranged for us to celebrate our parents platinum wedding
anniversary in the home we could not have asked for more. We highly recommend Birch Green Care Home.

Our dad was only a resident for 9 days before he sadly passed away. The care and compassion he (and us) were shown was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My father-in-law has recently become a resident of Birch Green Care Home. As a family, we were concerned that he might not settle in or like it there. However, we had nothing to worry about. He has settled in very well. The home is lovely. It is very clean and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
I would not hesitate in recommending the care home to other would-be users. Thank you for everything you do.

Each time I have visited Mum, I am impressed by the professional and caring nature of each staff member. Thank you.
On value for money, the score could have been selected as excellent, but do believe the state should provide for all. It's not a reflection of Birch Green, which is good value.

After a short illness, my 93-year-old aunt needed the care of Birch Green Care Home. Her daughter chose this home for her and she couldn't have chosen a better one. All the staff genuinely care so much about all of their residents. There is always a member of staff to greet you as soon as you enter,
which makes you feel welcomed. The atmosphere is so homely and the level of cleanliness is outstanding.
My aunt wasn't eating when she first arrived but the staff made time to sit with her at meal times and coax her to eat. They also encouraged her to start walking again with the help of a walking aid. The care and attention she has received at Birch Green has been second to none. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Birch Green to anyone who needed care for their elderly relatives.

Birch Green Care Home and all the staff are truly amazing. My mother has been there for many years and is looked after incredibly well, despite the fact that she is very difficult with lots of challenging behavioural issues. The team, led by the general manger and team leader, are professional at all
times and are also patient, kind and understanding in whatever situation arises. In addition, they liaise with residents' families so that the best decisions are made for everyone involved. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this wonderful home to anyone who is looking for top-class care for a relative or friend.

My brother was a resident at Birch Green Care Home for the past four years. He passed away in October after a month in the hospital. The management and staff were amazing. My brother had Alzheimer's and could be aggressive and difficult to cope with but this never phased the staff he was treated with
dignity and respect and very well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home and thank them sincerely for everything they did for my brother. An amazing team!

The staff know all the residents by name and provides personal, kind care. They are patient, considerate and understanding. All our family feel embraced and included in the care of my husband. We are much more comfortable with the situation because he is looked after so well.
