My mother has been a resident at Abbeywood for 11 years. She has been treated with care, respect and dignity. The current staff are friendly, empathetic and kind. The owner of the home is friendly and approachable. If needed, the GP is called quickly. I have no complaints about the care of my mother.
The owners and management have been very understanding through the stressful time we are having with probate and selling mum's house . It is run as a caring care home and not a corporate business .
My mum Stella has been here since 7th July 2025. She has been very happy here. She is enjoying being looked after by the staff. She tells me the food is very food.
My mother went into Abbeywood in December 2024. She said that she was made to feel welcome and very comfortable from day one. She's got no complaints whatsoever. She's made some new friends and she enjoys her time there. She has a good appetite and says the food is first class and always served nice and hot. The staff all seem to be very pleasant and happy to be working there. Her bedroom is always very clean and comfortable.
We massively appreciate your feedback. I will pass this on to our team who will be thrilled to hear such lovely words. We are currently working on recruiting an activities coordinator so hopefully soon it will all be 5 stars! Many thanks
My sister moved into Abbeywood in March 2025. The staff and management were so helpful in helping her to settle in with a warm welcome and friendly caring staff. A gift to welcome her to the home and gifts at Easter and Mother's day show they go the extra mile . It has given me peace of mind that she is being well cared for and she loves the food !!
We really appreciate your kind words. It's been wonderful to get to know your sister, learn all about her, and we're thrilled to know you feel gratified with the care she's receiving.
From the start of my father's stay till this present day Abbywood has shown nothing but excellent care and professionalism. It is a beautiful homely setting. Always caring and friendly staff. We would certainly recommend Abbywood to anybody looking for care for a loved one.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. Getting to know your dad has been a pleasure and we are so glad you feel so positively about the care we provide.
It is a very much a family atmosphere & the staff were very good to mum in every respect even under very challenging circumstances.
Hi Elaine, thank you so much for your lovely words. All the Abbeywood team wish mum the best and hope she is settling into her new home.
My Mum has been in Abbeywood almost 12 months now and honestly, I could not be happier with the level of care she has received whilst in there. She struggled to settle due to her confusion and anxiety but the support she and I received was brilliant, and she loves her Abbeywood family now. It's so nice to see her smiling and happy. The carers always go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble for any of them, they genuinely care for each and every resident with a smile on their faces ensuring that their dignity is respected and they are valued and still treated like people that matter. The communal areas are lovely and bright and a really nice space to sit and the bedrooms are spacious and clean. The food is really good and there's usually something going on that the residents can get involved in. Really could not find a better place to care for my Mum, can't recommend enough.
Hi Michelle, Thank you so much for your lovely review. It truly means the world to us to hear how happy you and your mum are with Abbeywood. We understand how difficult those early days can be, and we're so glad that with the right support and care, she has settled in and now feels part of the Abbeywood family. Seeing her smile and thrive is exactly why we do what we do.The Abbeywood Team
A lovely Home with a bright, airy lounge for residents and well-maintained gardens. There are a range of facilities available such as an on-site hairdresser and a variety of activities for residents to participate in. The Staff are always cheerful and friendly. My Mum enjoys the food (and has gained weight) and has always looked well-hydrated since coming to live here (which was an issue for her when at home). She is safe and well looked after.
The staff are all friendly and always have time to talk and tell me how my mum is.
There is always music or a film on to keep them entertained, all the residents seem to be happy.
My mum has been a resident in Abbeywood since October 2022 previous to this she lived on her own, independently for many years. The staff do a fantastic job of looking after her. She has a lovely room and likes to spend time in her room along with the option of socialising with other residents in the main living area. For the first time in a long time, I know she is well looked after and safe. Great place.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our care home, we're so glad to hear we've had a positive impact on your mum and we will continue to work hard in our efforts to provide the best possible care.
My mum has been a resident at Abbeywood for almost two years now and, although she had some teething problems initially, lately I am really pleased with the way she has settled. She is content and obviously well looked after. The staff are friendly and caring and the management are attentive, informing me when my mum needs anything or she has any problems. The home is always clean and bright. There is a nice menu and a list of events to stimulate and entertain the residents. Overall Abbeywood is a good, well-run care home and I would recommend it.
No problems at all. Staff are all friendly and helpful and Aunty is being well cared for. The home is well-maintained. Bedrooms are always clean. The food is good with a good choice of menus. Entertainment is varied and all residents seem to enjoy singalongs etc.

We take great pride in providing personalised care that meets the needs of each of our residents and your feedback is a testament to our commitment to excellence. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and others!
My auntie always looks clean and well when I visit and she also has a good time with the resident friends she has made. Also, the staff say she’s always happy and singing, I have witnessed this I’ve not seen her this happy in a long time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience at our care home! We are thrilled to hear that our team provided exceptional care and made your loved one feel at home. We appreciate your kind words and will continue to strive for excellence in all that we do.
My parents have been at the home for four years now and the staff are always friendly and attentive.
The decor and gardens provide an excellent living space.

We work hard to create a warm and welcoming environment for all our residents and your feedback is a great motivator for our team. Thank you for choosing us and for sharing your positive experience with others.
Since being able to visit again, I flagged up an issue that was important to me, the team listened and acted on it quickly and efficiently.
We will be forever grateful to all the team at Abbeywood for all they did during the terrible days of Covid and their continued provision of high-quality care to our dad, and support to us.
I can't comment on the food and drink, I've never had the pleasure. Dad has no complaints when I ask him though.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our care home! Your feedback means a lot to us and we will continue to work hard to ensure that all our residents have the best possible experience while in our care.
My grandma has lived here for over four years now and we have been very happy with the care she has received. The staff are friendly and helpful, always seem to be busy with the residents, the home is clean and always tidy and the updated decor is looking fab. I would recommend this home to anyone who asked. I would also like to say my grandma has seemed comfortable with her surroundings since she first arrived and always says how nice the home and staff are.
Thank you very much for your positive feedback.
Many Thanks.
We were always confident Mum was safe, warm, well fed and entertained. Visitors are encouraged and made welcome.
Mum's health deteriorated and it was with great sadness, but in her best interest to transfer to a nursing home. During this very stressful time, we continued to be extremely well supported. Highly praise management, care staff, cooks, domestics and handyperson who work as part of the Abbeywood team.
My mother is well looked after and I have no problem leaving her in the capable hands of the carers. They are really quick to spot any difference in health or behaviour and get the doctor in straight away.
Lots of patience with residents and treat them with respect.
It was a very big thing for my mother to move into the home, after being very independent in her own home, but after a few blips, she has settled in very well and seems to be quite happy and content.
