Mum was a resident at Whitefield House for a little over 4 years. She thought of Whitefield House as her second home and the staff as though they were extended family and friends. She was very happy and content there.
I felt, as did all the family, that she was given excellent care and was always treated with dignity. The kitchen staff went out of their way to be helpful and to accommodate my mum's limited palate!

Overall, I am so pleased we chose Whitefield House for Mum.

My Mum-in-law was a resident for over 3years at Whitefield House; she felt the staff were more like her friends as well as her carer. They always went the extra mile for her if she needed anything or just wanted someone to talk to. She always enjoyed the regular weekly activities. Sadly, my Mum-in-law passed away from COVID 19 in April, she was given professional, caring and constant care during this pandemic. We were kept up to date by the staff due to us not being able to visit. We have made many friends of the staff, and I would highly recommend Whitefield House for anyone who has a loved one needing 24hours care.

6 Years ago my relative decided to go to live at Whitefield House when she could no longer care for herself and her physical and mental health were deteriorating. In a very short time, she showed signs of improvement as she was cared for, and enjoyed social activities and eating together. Problems arose as she began to develop dementia, but at all times staff worked with her best interest at heart, treating her with politeness and dignity. I am very grateful for the loving care that she has received in her final years.

My father had to go into urgent respite care in August 2019. Whitefield House had a vacant room and after a home visit, agreed to take my father into their care. My father suffers from vascular dementia and had started wandering. The staff took wonderful care of him and took over all of his personal needs. From losing weight rapidly, he started to gain. They reassured him and within days, he had settled down. I cannot praise them enough, for they looked after him with dignity and understanding. They were always open to re-assuring me of his mental and physical well being. For the first time in 4 years, I knew my father was safe.

I have found Whitefield House to be a caring home. Certain members of staff go beyond to ensure my mum is cared for. However, some do not. Meals are superb. Environm ent is also good. My Mum doesn't like the activities but no encouragement is made to get her involved. However, the home does regularly a "special event", Halloween, Summer Party etc which are wonderful and a total credit to the home and all the staff.

My mum moved into Whitefield House in February from her own home. Staff and management ensured a smooth and easy transition into full-time residential care. Staff are caring and easily approachable. Meals are of good quality and snacks available throughout the day. My mum looks well cared for and has settled in well over the last few months. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Whitefield House. Activities that are arranged are fun and include all residents.

Our family experience in dealing with Whitefield House has been life-changing. My mother went into Whitefield House in December 2017 and has been looked after superbly well ever since. The management and staff are superb and every element of care my mother continues to receive is excellent.
We cannot speak highly enough of the whole care process in place and are totally content that my mother is receiving the best care possible.
The turnover of staff is negligible which is very important as my mother has got to know and love the carers who look after her.

We cannot fault anything at Whitefield House and therefore have no hesitation in completing every option listed as 'Excellent'.

When we were looking for a placement for mum, we were extremely impressed when visited Whitefield house. The staff were very informative and answered all of our questions openly. From saying that we would like mum to live here, the assessment was undertaken promptly and we were over the moon when we were informed that mum had been offered a place. It was not just finding the right environment but also finding a placement that could deliver the specialist care mum needed. (we had look at 26 Homes before making our choice)

The home is comfortable, clean and very home-like and staff are always happy to help. Care staff and management are approachable and have given us honest feedback on how mum was settling and adjusting in the first few months, which was a worrying time for all. I would not hesitate to recommend Whitefield House.

As I live out of the country, when I came back to visit over the Christmas period, I was very impressed by the standards of the card home. My mother appeared to be taken care of and was in good hands. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

We were very pleased when my Mother was offered a place at Whitefield House when she needed specialist care for the last year of her life. The home is comfortable and very home-like.

My Mother was very well looked-after, and particularly enjoyed the good food and hot cups of tea. As she became more dependent, her care was adjusted appropriately to meet her needs. She had a lovely room overlooking, and with access to, the garden, and was able to enjoy the opportunity this afforded to see the flowers and get some exercise.

We as visitors were warmly welcomed by the staff and were always offered refreshment. There was always someone available to talk if we needed to chat or update the home with any information.

I would not hesitate to recommend Whitefield House.

Mum had terminal lung cancer, I kept the care team informed and was assured that mum's needs could be managed (2 staff having undergone end of life training) The care team were excellent throughout. Mum was well cared for and had her needs and her wishes met. They were affectionate towards her and responded to her need for humour and laughter. Staff contacted me if they were concerned about mum and we discussed the best course of action. At her death mum was in the arms of a carer for which I am very grateful.

I am thoroughly happy with the fantastic care my mother received at Whitefield House. I never had any worries regarding her care and well being. The staff are excellent, the home immaculate. All care homes should be of such a high standard caring for, and looking after elderly residents. My mum was very lucky to be looked after by everyone there.

The staff had wonderful care and patience for my mother-in-law. She was very well provided. Always clean - always having attention. Also had a good rapport with all staff - pulled her face at the other residents (when I was visiting).

Since dad arrived in January 2016 (in a very poorly state) he has improved immensely. This is all thanks to the team at this home. They persevered with his lack of appetite and his is now eating 3 meals a day. His overall health now is very good and he is no longer confined to bed.

When I was initially looking for a home for my mother I had a very good and productive talk with the home manager. She completely answered all of my questions and left me with a good feeling. I subsequently visited Whitefield House and found it to be very good indeed with good facilities. My mother subsequently moved in shortly afterwards and quickly settled in. My mother had dementia and needed help with certain things. This was given very well by the staff who handled things very professionally. When my mother died everything was handled very well by the staff. I feel she was extremely well looked after by a very caring staff. I would recommend Whitefield House to anyone.
