Walshaw Hall

They are very professional and definitely provide a safe, caring environment for all residents and family visitors.

Before entering Walshaw she was anxious about the change in circumstances but Walshaw and it's staff through their high level of care and professional approach have managed to look after all issues so that the anxieties don't crop up.

I cannot fault the care and compassion that mum receives. The staff are all kind and considerate and communication with myself is amazing. Its never nice for anyone to have their mum in a care home but at Walshaw Hall I feel her every need is catered for in a dignified manner.

Where do I start?! Walshaw Hall Care Home although 26 miles from me, the home, the staff, the food are all exemplary nothing is too much trouble. Especially the care staff on the first floor who look after my mum.

This is just to say an ongoing thanks.

All the staff and carers are incredible and I thank them sincerely for everything they have done and continue to do.

My wife has been a resident of Walshaw Hall since December 2015, and throughout this time, she has been cared for with the utmost dignity and compassion. I have been treated with the same respect from the staff and management on my daily visits (prior to the last year's lockdown). Her room has been kept clean and tidy and very pleasant to be in, food is served on the whole hot and appetising with the menu very varied. The activities for the residents who can participate are good and varied. I admire the dedication and compassion the staff give my wife and other residents.

My mum became a resident on the day of lockdown, and the extended separation from her has been terrible. However, we have been comforted to know that she is so well cared for, clean, comfortable and loved, despite her dementia making her a bit grumpy sometimes. Full marks to management for facilitating visits whenever they have been able to do so legally.

I have only had a "pod" visit with my brother and have not seen his room or any other internal feature of the care home. The staff I have met all appear to look after my brother very well, and he gets on with them delightfully. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Walshaw Hall to anyone who needs care.

My wife has been in Walshaw Hall since May 2018 with Fronto Temporal Dementia. During this period, the staff have looked after her with incredible professionalism and compassionate care. They have dealt with some very challenging behaviour in the first years to a more nursing role latterly. Throughout all of this time, I have never doubted that from top to bottom, all at Walshaw Hall always have the best interest of their residents at the core of their day to day activities.

Mum has been in The Beeches for three years and has been very well cared for. The staff are professional, kind, caring and supportive. As her Alzheimer's has progressed, they couldn't have done more to ensure she is settled, safe and all her needs carefully attended to. During the pandemic, they have done a sterling job and they have kept me updated on Mum's condition and well being.

My Mother has been a resident for a few years now and her dementia has progressed through this time. I have been extremely happy with the care and thoughtfulness of the staff to my Mother. As I live in London, it is important to be able to trust the care team to give me feedback when I can’t be there myself and in that respect, they have been excellent. I’m so pleased that we chose Walshaw Hall.

My husband is currently a resident at The Beeches at Walshaw Hall. It's a lovely, safe, clean and warm environment for him to be cared for in. All the staff are so friendly and kind treating residents with the utmost care and respect. I would not hesitate to recommend The Beeches to anybody.

We found it very difficult to locate somewhere where we could exit with the wheelchair and had the same difficulty on returning.

I would highly recommend Walshaw Hall to anyone whose relatives needed respite or more long-term care. Although not cheap, you basically get what you pay for.

The ensuite rooms are of an exceptionally high standard and the food offered is all home cooked and of excellent quality. There are always lots of varied activities for residents to participate in, all organised by the activities coordinator. We as a family could not wish for my father to be anywhere better, it is thanks to all of the dedicated staff and management that my father settled here so quickly and it is reassuring for us to know that he is so well cared for.

I was totally satisfied with the care that my dad received at Walshaw Hall. The staff, environment and personal attention were excellent. My dad was happy there. Thank you.

Walshaw Hall residential is superb. Amazing carers and wider staff from the kitchen to the management, tailored care, lovely environment, very good quality food and a genuine sense of a home away from home. Dad has settled there much better than we ever anticipated because the carers are so wonderful. I've looked at so many care homes and this one alongside Heathlands stand out above the crowd. So grateful and thank you to all staff.
