Dad recently became a resident, since then I cannot compliment the staff enough. Dad seems settled, calm & happy. This is due to the environment and all staff members being 100% true to the term care home.

My wife is looked after and cared for. The staff are generally very good and that includes temporary carers. The activities are mainly aimed at residents who are fairly lucid. I would like to see some chair exercises being introduced.

My mother has been a resident of Walshaw for nearly a year.
Our family is very satisfied with Walshaw Hall as my mother is happy to be there.
Before entering Walshaw she was anxious about the change in circumstances but Walshaw and it's staff through their high level of care and professional approach
have managed to look after all issues so that the anxieties don't crop up.

I cannot fault the care and compassion that mum receives. The staff are all kind and considerate and communication with myself is amazing. Its never nice for anyone to have their mum in a care home but at Walshaw Hall I feel her every need is catered for in a dignified manner.
Reply from Claire Loco, Registered manager at Walshaw HallThank you very much for your kind feedback. We sincerely appreciate your comments and remain committed to providing the highest quality of care to all our residents.

Wow, well where do I start, on first entering the carehome the reception I received from the manager was nothing but amazing, you could tell how genuinely happy she was to manage the home and how much love, respect and loyalty she had for her residents with just the way she talked about my auntie and
the friends she had there, the home itself always smells extremely clean and the staff are always so lovely and seem to happy to be there which is so refreshing even after finding out the long hours they work, there a credit to the home.
When I visited it was dinner time and the meal prep and food choices we're extremely good, I asked my auntie if she enjoyed her meals and she said when she's not liked what is on choice they've gone out there way to make her something else that she'd prefer.
I want to thank the manager for running such an amazing home, she clearly has alot of care and hires only the best who again are a credit to the company.
Thankyou very much.

I continue to be impressed with the care and support the staff bring to the residents. It is such a homely and happy place. My mum has been there for six years now and I am still of the opinion it is one of the best care homes in the area. Its success lies with the amazing staff who are dedicated and
professional and manage the care and support of their residents with respect and compassion.
Reply from Heather Wyatt, Home Administrator at Brabyns HouseDear Deborah, thank you so much for your kind words, it is very much appreciated and we will continue to care for your lovely mum so her stay is a happy and comfortable one surrounded by people who think the world of her.

Where do I start?! Walshaw Hall Care Home although 26 miles from me, the home, the staff, the food are all exemplary nothing is too much trouble. Especially the care staff on the first floor who look after my mum.

My wife who has vascular dementia was accepted at Berrycroft Manor in March 2024. I have nothing but praise for this care home, all the staff are very friendly and caring. From the cleaners, laundry staff, maintenance, management, receptionist have a lovely caring approach to all the residents, know
everyone and are first name terms. Even when times are tough nothing is too much trouble. We as a family have nothing but praise for Berrycroft Manor. I know they go above and beyond for the residents.

My partner's grandmother is in this care home. I have had both of my grandparents in other care homes in different parts of the country. Neither one of those care homes comes close to the standard that Beechwood Lodge provides.
All the staff are friendly, professional and genuinely care about the
residents. The activities that they put on are very stimulating for the residents and I can honestly say I would love to spend time doing all the activities myself!
We are very much looking for the Elvis tribute coming up.
Keep up the good work!

Comfortable, safe and warm environment. Quick, effective procedures dealing with falls and illness. Great varied food.
Staff (mixed feelings). Some great, experienced staff. Some new/agency staff that lack motivation and energy.
Big thank you to the activities coordinators that work so hard.

An absolutely amazing home. I wouldn't trust any other with the care of my grandma. The manager and all the staff at Beechwood Lodge are truly amazing and look after my grandma in ways I could no longer do at home. She is always well dressed and in a good mood every day when I visit, due to the staff
constantly keeping her occupied and happy. Thank you so much for everything you do, you're all angels.

I cannot say how much the care staff at Beechwood Lodge have done to help my husband. The home did everything they could to help him get mobile. Without them, he would still be struggling. They have also made sure I was looking after myself. I would like to say we picked the best place to have him under

The staff at Beechwood Lodge are very friendly, extremely helpful. The manager is very approachable and the door is always open and always makes time to discuss anything.
Mum always looks lovely, the staff are very attentive and caring. Took Mum out one day shopping and she actually asked to go back,
Mum never fails to keep telling me how lovely it is.
They are always doing different things to keep residents entertained, on many occasions, they involve their family and friends, we are always made to feel very welcome.
It's very reassuring to know Mum is happy, well looked after and made to feel safe.

I am floored and humbled by the care and banter here. Gorgeous workers, so passionate about the work. I feel so lucky that I can go back to Australia knowing my grandad is so well looked after and loved. The staff know him and they listen and care. I wish my mum's mum had a place like this in Australia.
P.S.
Amazing food but coffee does seem scary hot, only note!
Thank you so much.

Mother received care here for a period from October 2022 to March 2024. The care received from all the staff was so friendly and personal, simply exceptional, and knowing that my mother was being so well looked after was so important to me. Can't thank them enough.

My aunt has lived in the home for approximately three years. She has been very well cared for, very comfortable and happy in her final years. After hospitalisation, she returned for end-of-life care. This was managed professionally and with great sensitivity by the staff. The family are grateful indeed.
Reply from Michael Blissett, Home Manager at Berrycroft ManorThank you for your review of your aunt's care at Berrycroft Manor. The care staff are dedicated to making sure they know how to meet each resident's needs, through training, leadership, and compassionate care.
