Our mother is a resident at The Broughtons the staff are absolutely amazing with her, she is treated with respect, kindness, patience and dignity. Our mum is so happy and settled here. The resents are always clean and well fed. The staff are always approachable and helpful and we would highly recommend this residential home to everyone. Residents have daily activities they can join in with too.

All staff wonderful nice to see care home being decorated, roll on summer when residents can sit outside in the garden, can not waite to see what happens in summer, some of the meals do not look appealing. Very nice lady who comes every day for activities.

Our dad moved into The Broughtons two years ago, and from the beginning the transition was handled with care and professionalism. The staff took time to understand his individual needs and routines, which really helped him settled in quickly. Since then, he has continued to feel comfortable, safe and well supported. The team always approachable and kind. It's clear they genuinely care about the residents. Communication with the family is good, and we are kept well informed. We are very grateful for the ongoing support and care our dad receives from The Broughton.

Since my dad began living at The Broughtons I have really enjoyed my overall experience when visiting him. I have found all the day staff very helpfull and I am especially grateful for the positive relationships my dad has build with them. Most noticeably Nicola has been a standout member of staff and always gives 100% effort to whatever + ask she carries out for all residents. It ahs been lovely to see how helpful Naomi has been with any quiery my dad has and alway goes the extra mile. The laundry staff work extremly hard, as do the cleaner. The management are also very efficient when communicating with family members.

Blessing and Saviour have been terrific in helping David settle in The Broughtons. They have gone out of their way to help cater for his kosher food with all its intricacies. Much appreciated. Staff are lovely, caring and friendly. All together five stars!!! Daniel.

My mum has had a couple of falls recently ending in hospital both times and the last one she had been in hospital a while and lost her confidence. We thought it would be good for her to go to a care home for a short stay before going home, just to get her moving about and doing things for herself again, so we chose The Broughtons.
The manageress and her staff are fantastic, they can't do enough for my mum, they are so friendly to us when we visit daily and mum loves the food.
My mum is almost ready to go home now, she has her confidence back and this is thanks to the great staff at The Broughtons.
It was horrible leaving her the first night but I soon realised she was safe and looked after.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

The care, kindness and compassion shown by management and all of the staff was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. They organised social events in the lounge such as a choir singing and a guitarist.

If I needed respite again, The Broughtons would be my first choice.

My mother was so pleased to go back to the Broughton. All the staff were so good with her. The first time she was so unsure but what a lovely place and I want to go back there and stay. All the staff remembered her which was great. She will not go anywhere else now and I would like to say a massive thank you for taking care of my mum at short notice. Thank you.

On the one and only visit to this home, my 83 yr old father was pushed over by another resident and sustained a broken hip, which led to a hip replacement, an 8 week stay in hospital and having to move out of his own home and into a care home where he now requires 24 hr care. The whole episode was apparently captured on CCTV. When we asked if we could view the footage for our own peace of mind and to make sure all necessary protocol was followed we were told that because there were other people visible on the footage we wouldn't be able to view it due to 'The data protection laws'. So think very carefully before entrusting these people with your loved one.

Reply from Amanda Collins, Manager at The Broughtons Care Home

Although we understand your anguish, you were aware of our legal requirements to maintain data protection rules, it is therefore a shame your view of the care home as a whole has been tarnished by the circumstances surrounding an incident between two residents and not reflective of the care home, it's staff and the service we provide.
