My mum has been a resident since December 2019 and has settled in great at The Broughtons. The manager and all the staff are brilliant, always ready to help if needed and treat my mum with dignity and respect. My mum is well looked after, always clean and tidy and has met some friends in there.

My mum has had a couple of falls recently ending in hospital both times and the last one she had been in hospital a while and lost her confidence. We thought it would be good for her to go to a care home for a short stay before going home, just to get her moving about and doing things for herself again,
so we chose The Broughtons.
The manageress and her staff are fantastic, they can't do enough for my mum, they are so friendly to us when we visit daily and mum loves the food.
My mum is almost ready to go home now, she has her confidence back and this is thanks to the great staff at The Broughtons.
It was horrible leaving her the first night but I soon realised she was safe and looked after.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

The care, kindness and compassion shown by management and all of the staff was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. They organised social events in the lounge such as a choir singing and a guitarist.
If I needed respite again, The Broughtons would be my first choice.
Reply from Bob Dhaliwal, Director at The Broughtons Care Home

My mother was so pleased to go back to the Broughton. All the staff were so good with her. The first time she was so unsure but what a lovely place and I want to go back there and stay. All the staff remembered her which was great. She will not go anywhere else now and I would like to say a massive
thank you for taking care of my mum at short notice. Thank you.

On the one and only visit to this home, my 83 yr old father was pushed over by another resident and sustained a broken hip, which led to a hip replacement, an 8 week stay in hospital and having to move out of his own home and into a care home where he now requires 24 hr care. The whole episode was apparently
captured on CCTV. When we asked if we could view the footage for our own peace of mind and to make sure all necessary protocol was followed we were told that because there were other people visible on the footage we wouldn't be able to view it due to 'The data protection laws'. So think very carefully before entrusting these people with your loved one.
Reply from Amanda Collins, Manager at The Broughtons Care Home

Although we understand your anguish, you were aware of our legal requirements to maintain data protection rules, it is therefore a shame your view of the care home as a whole has been tarnished by the circumstances surrounding an incident between two residents and not reflective of the care home, it's staff and the service we provide.
