Care Homes Owned by Wellbeing Residential Ltd
Since 2005 Wellbeing Care Group have provided award-winning care allowing older people to enjoy the very best. Those who felt isolated in their own home gain companionship; those who were struggling to cope alone receive 24-hour help; and others who may have felt like they were a burden can find themselves much more independent.
Care workers go beyond the ‘National Standards for Care Homes for Older People’ caring about every detail of residents’ lives including health, diet, exercise, hobbies and social activities. The aim is to ensure that all residents continue enjoying life, receiving the very highest standard of care. You may be surprised how little high standards cost, with many care home residents receiving complete funding from their Local Authority. In 2007 they received the prestigious Community & Social Care Award for outstanding achievement.

Happy to leave a review for the good folk who work so hard for their clients at Southernwood house care home in Spalding, my Mother in law had a couple of weeks staying with them while a care package was arranged for her at home and the way they all really care about what they do shines through, from
the kindness they always show through to the terrific food,( 5 star rated by the local authority), they provide a much-needed service and should be proud of what they achieve, thank you from our family!

All staff wonderful nice to see care home being decorated, roll on summer when residents can sit outside in the garden, can not waite to see what happens in summer, some of the meals do not look appealing. Very nice lady who comes every day for activities.

We are delighted to hear that you have noticed the improvements being made around the home and that you are looking forward to residents enjoying the garden during the summer months. Our dad moved into The Broughtons two years ago, and from the beginning the transition was handled with care and professionalism. The staff took time to understand his individual needs and routines, which really helped him settled in quickly. Since then, he has continued to feel comfortable, safe and
well supported. The team always approachable and kind. It's clear they genuinely care about the residents. Communication with the family is good, and we are kept well informed. We are very grateful for the ongoing support and care our dad receives from The Broughton.

During the short respite care my mum received. I cannot fault the staff who were always happy and they were lovely with mum.
The food was freshly prepared with plenty of choice, mum said food was very nice.
Room was clean and tidy and clothes washed daily.
Cannot fault the care and support of all
the staff.
The decor was a bit dated wanted abit of TLC but the care and support is more important so overall experience was excellent.
Mum said she would be happy to return for more respite

Since my dad began living at The Broughtons I have really enjoyed my overall experience when visiting him. I have found all the day staff very helpfull and I am especially grateful for the positive relationships my dad has build with them. Most noticeably Nicola has been a standout member of staff and
always gives 100% effort to whatever + ask she carries out for all residents. It ahs been lovely to see how helpful Naomi has been with any quiery my dad has and alway goes the extra mile. The laundry staff work extremly hard, as do the cleaner. The management are also very efficient when communicating with family members.
Reply from lauren wood, Administrator at The Broughtons Care HomeThank you so much for your kind review. We're happy to hear that your experience visiting your dad at The Broughtons has been so positive. I will sure pass on your lovely comments to Nicola, Naomi, and the rest of the staff. My dad became a resident at Harrington House in July 2025 after having a fall at home and also living with dementia. After a few months his dementia deteriorated quite quickly. Sadly he was put on end of life and passed away in January 2026.
The care throughout his stay was extremely good. The last
couple of days leading upto dad passing the head of care and the manager of the care home were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and they always put dad's needs first.
The night my dad passed the manager of the carehome was there for me and family throughout the day and night. To say she went above and beyond is an understatement.
I would recommend Harrington House to anybody that needs a well run care home with competent caring staff from cleaners upto management.

Lovely care home, staff and management are absolutely wonderful. My dad has spent 1 week here, he has alzheimer's, so we were worried about him going away for the first time, but we needn't of been as he settled in straight away. We would not hesitate to recommend Harrington House and will definitely
be using it again, gave my mum a much needed break.

My family and I cannot thank Jacy and her team at Southernwood for the care my Father received over the last 2 years 4 months of his life. They were always respectful, caring and nothing was ever too much trouble. My Father especially enjoyed the puddings and biscuits on offer. It was quite clear after
his passing that he will be missed and remembered as he received truly personal care in every sense.
My Father was only expected to live for 6 months when he entered this home. He managed 28!! I think that says it all in that he found a will to carry on thanks to the care and love around him.
Reply from BOB DHALIWAL, Director at Southernwood HouseThank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your family's experience of Southernwood. It was a privilege to care for him, and we are grateful for the trust you placed in us over the past two years. Please accept our sincere thanks for your review and our best wishes to you and your family.

I find it difficult to be washed by a male carer.
Some staff are very good, but the agency staff are not good.
Room is nice, but other service users coming into my room when I cannot move is very upsetting.
Food is very bland, and I would like more variety of food, not always sandwiches at teatime.
I would also like more activities, please.
Reply from lauren wood, Administrator at Harrington HouseThank you for your feedback. We have worked closely with you to address your concerns, implementing changes wherever practicable, safe, and balanced with the needs of all residents.
Our trained staff prioritise dignity and respect. While we honor individual preferences, staffing must remain safe, timely, and equitable. Agency staff meet the same rigorous standards and checks as our permanent team.
Resident privacy and safety are managed through careful planning and supervision; all specific concerns raised have been reviewed and addressed. Similarly, our menus and activities incorporate resident input while meeting nutritional and operational requirements.
We remain committed to constructive dialogue and hope the improvements made are recognised. We encourage continued direct discussion with management to address any further matters.

My brother was taken into Harrington House just before Christmas 2024. I had no expectations but was welcomed by the friendly staff, and the team provided care, good food, warmth and a feeling of wellbeing. In short, Peter felt safe and secure.
Roll on 12 months, Peter's condition has worsened, he
has been in and out of hospital, but Harrington's care hasn't faltered.
Karen and her team are a credit to care, cheerful, and great food, and as a regular visitor, I have to say they are great.

A Warm, Compassionate, and Well-Run Care Home
I've had an excellent experience with this care home, I'm truly grateful for the support they've provided. From the moment you walk through the door, the atmosphere feels welcoming and calm. The staff are consistently kind, patient, and attentive-not only
o the residents' medical needs, but also to their emotional wellbeing.
Communication has been a particular strength. The team keeps families well-informed and is always willing to answer questions or discuss concerns. It's clear that they genuinely care about building trust and creating a sense of community.
The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully organized. Meals are nutritious and varied.
Most importantly, the residents are treated with dignity and respect. I've seen firsthand how the the caregivers take time to connect on a personal level, ensuring each person feels valued.
Overall, I highly recommend this care home to anyone seeking a safe and caring home.

The staff are all great and do their absolute best for my Grandma and all the residents. However, there have been significant staff shortages which has been filled with last-minute agency staff. This makes things difficult for the staff and the residents, as there is sometimes much less cover than there
should be. This leads to long waits when my Grandma needs to go to the toilet, causing her to wet herself more than necessary. I would highly recommend the owners to think seriously about putting more resources into hiring experienced carers on a substantive basis.
