Overall Experience

I am very impressed with The Sycamores. My daughter in law and I thought when we came to have a look around the manager was very friendly and a lovely atmosphere. My husband comes into The Sycamores for short stay, I feel confident that the manager and her staff are looking after him.

Home Manager at The Sycamores, Hyde

What does kindness mean to you?

“Treating people with respect and compassion. Always being empathetic and making the care delivered personal and individual to the Residents’ needs.”

As a dedicated Home Manager, Joanne has gained many years experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.

Joanne shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Joanne remarked:

“Making a difference.”

Outside of work, Joanne enjoys spending time with her family, she has a one-year-old grandson who she says, “Has turned my world upside down, for the better.”

Joanne describes her biggest achievement in life was studying and qualifying as a nurse whilst being a single parent.
