The staff at Bickham are not just professionals, but also care deeply about the people staying at the home. They offer essential care with compassion and respect. The food is of a particularly high standard. Plenty of variety, individually tailored and presented in an appetising manner. Staff really encourage residents to eat, and monitor fluid intake which is essential for health.

My mother moved into Bickham House in the spring. We were initially concerned at how well she would get on but she has settled in remarkably well as the staff assured us she would. My mother is always complementary about the staff and the food. The entertainment programme seems excellent; we're kept informed about what's going on and I have many videos of mum dancing around the lounge to various live singers. She has people to talk to but can take herself off if she wishes. From what we have seen, the staff are kind, caring and treat the residents with dignity. Thank you so much for ensuring mum is so well looked after.

Bickham Care Home, in my opinion, is absolutely outstanding. In my work, I have dealings with varying care homes, so I am aware of standards, and Bickham outshines them all.

My mum was a resident at Bickham for ten months. Her care was 100%. The staff were always cheerful, professional, efficient, kind, but stern, when necessary, and provided the warmth, and sincere care families so desperately want for their loved ones to be looked after. Bickham truly deserves the name of a caring environment for all loved ones. Thank you all so much for caring, so sincerely, for my Mum.

Our step-father has been at Bickham House for several months and I have been very impressed with the care he receives. The staff are both knowledgeable and very caring and go above and beyond to ensure the residents are very well looked after. They take great pride in the food they offer and the menu is varied. I think the care is first class. Thank you to four members of staff in particular and the rest of the team for everything you do - it is much appreciated.

I am very pleased with the kind supportive care shown to my mum who is currently living at Bickham House. There are always staff on hand for all the residents needs, which they attend to in a friendly and professional manner.

Throughout the week there are various activities, quizzes and music, which the residents can join in with. Overall, Bickham has a very welcoming and homely atmosphere for both residents and their visitors.

My mother has lived at Bickham House for six years. She has always been happy there. She loved her rooms and the staff and thought the food was wonderful. My mother has had Alzheimer's disease for the last three years, she was always cared for kindly and with dignity in December 2024. She had a bad stroke and went to hospital. The manager agreed that Mum could remain and was cared for lovingly and carefully by the excellent staff. I couldn't have wished for better care. At the end, she was able to pass away in her own bed, cared for by staff she knew. I was treated with love and compassion. Words cannot express our thanks. Bickham House, management and staff are excellent.

Dad has Alzheimer's and moved to Bickham House from hospital/his own flat. Dad has settled in extremely well and is happy there. I find all the staff very approachable and they work very hard to look after all the residents in a cheerful, kind and caring way. We really appreciate this. There is a family atmosphere and it feels like a home. The food is great, Dad seems to really enjoy his meals. There are activities every day and a lovely, newly refurbished lounge to sit in. Dad is always clean and dressed.

My father has been at Bickham for just over 3 years. It's been a happy place for him and my sister and I have been very pleased with his experience here and how he has been settled, looked after and always he has been treated extremely well.

The home is very caring and our father has been deemed to be one of the family. The home is very homely, friendly and we recommend it very highly.

We feel very lucky that we managed to place both of our parents in Bickham House Care Home. Their individual needs are rather complex. Mum has advanced Parkinson's disease and Dad cannot walk after a stroke. The staff make every effort to understand and meet these needs. My parents are very happy. The building itself and gardens are beautiful and the food is excellent but overall, it's the staff who go above and beyond that make Bickham House a truly exceptional care home.

My mother is settled at Bickham House and is kept well by all the staff who are friendly and attentive. She has the option of staying in her room and sitting in the lounge when she wishes. She takes advantage of this option. Meal times are the ideal time to sit with friends and talk together. The atmosphere in Bickham House is happy and friendly and my mother is happy here.

The best thing about this care home is the staff. I am always greeted courteously by any member of staff with a happy smiling face. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and in my experience, they always treat the residents with dignity and respect. The food is freshly cooked and looks delicious. Mum has settled in better than I could have hoped and she enjoyed the camaraderie.
