Brown Edge House Residential Home

I can't speak highly enough of The Brown Edge House.

All of the staff go above and beyond to make residents (and their families) feel loved, valued, and cared for.

There is such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and it was clear from day one that the staff genuinely care about the residents that they look after. It really is the next best thing to mum being "home"

Knowing that my mum is being treated with kindness, patience, dignity and compassion means more than words can say.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the staff for the love, care and dedication that they show every day to my mum. The work that you all do is truly amazing and I will always apreciate each and every member of staff.

When visiting my friend on a weekly basis, always a friendly greeting from staff. Friend always and other residents look well cared for, and happy. Dining room, and friends room, always well presented. Not required to make a appointment to visit. Would recommend. home main room, always staff, sitting with residents, speaking & helping residents

Every visit we make to see my aunt just reinforces our admiration for the staff and overall provision to benefit the Brown Edge residents. It is no exaggeration to say that our decision to place my aunt in the care of Brown Edge House has resulted in a hugely positive impact upon her quality of life.

Brown Edge is a very friendly, comfortable 'home'. The staff are caring, considerate and treat all the residents with great respect/ There is a wide range of activities, many run by the carers themselves - with great enthusiasm and energy! Each resident is respected for their individual needs - both socially and emotionally. It is always a happy place to visit and to know that our mum is in the best possible place.

Since my visiting from January, I have always found the staff pleasant and caring, my sister's room always tiday, along with the main lounge, conservatory, and clenliness of the dining room, and no unpleasant smells. So very happy with the establishment.

I have nothing but praise for the Brown Edge. The staff go above and beyond. They are kind compassionate caring. The place is kept immaculate. The residents are all well taken care of at all times.

We came to see an old friend and were very impressed with the overall condition of the home. The person opening the door to us was very welcoming and took us through to a very clean, tidy conservatory then brought our friend in, she seemed well settled there.

I look forward to coming to visit my aunt and seeing her fitting in well with other staff & residents. Enjoy seeing her happy and joining in with activities. She is eating well and is very happy being in Brown Edge. I'm so grateful for all your help looking and caring for her.

I have always found that "all" of the staff at Brown Edge House Residential Home are accommodating with any requests. Always showing utmost respect and empathy for my mother. Brown Edge always seem to have a warm and family feeling when I walk into the home.

Clean and well fed. Make it easy to visit Mum.

I find the staff friendly and helpful but feel could provide more information about my mum when she has her bad days.

Excellent care for my mother in law, nothing is too much trouble, very homely environmental everybody in there looks happy as if they've never left their own home. In fact I would go as far to say, especially in our case, it has proved to be a more fulfilling place for mum-in-law than her original home, can't praise the staff and management enough.

Overall, we are all happy that Mum is in a very good care home.

My father went to Brown Edge on 18th January 2022. Unfortunately, he died on 26th April 2022. He was 99 years old. Although he didn't want to go into care, we had no option. Brown Edge staff were brilliant and the home was in excellent condition. I honestly could not recommend it enough. I think because it only has 20 residents, it seemed to have the personal touch. Privately owned, rather than a larger home or a chain of large homes, where profit and cost-cutting would be the be all and end all.

I would recommend Brown Edge to anyone, a clean and happy place that is a home.

Always kept clean to a high standard throughout, on the whole, a home I would recommend to friends.

My mum is a resident at the home she is very happy there. The staff are warm and friendly nothing is too much trouble. During these uncertain and stressful times, the owners and staff have managed to run the home insuring the residents and staff have been kept safe.
