My nan lives here and is really happy. What a lovely home. The friendly caring vibe is evident as soon as you walk in. It is clear that the staff at Lezayre genuinely care about the residents and work really hard to provide quality loving care for the residents. It is clear they try their best to treat them as if they were their own family and genuinely care a lot about everybody living there.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The house is in a clean condition and no „bad smells“ when entering. I‘m glad my mother was sent to Lezayre by the hospital after a fall. She recovered quick and looked far better very soon.

Our grandma has been in the home for several years, she is happy and settled and it reassures us that she is well looked after by the lovely and dedicated staff at the home who love our grandma as much as we do. We can’t thank them enough, especially given the last two years with Covid-19.

Where do we start, our stepfather has been in Lezayre, for the past few months, and on arriving he was very low. Over a period of time, we have seen a massive change in him for the better, the staff are all very caring, and encouraging. Management we’ve found nothing a problem easy to talk to and they get things sorted, appointments etc. Food is good, his room is clean, and he is. Yes a little tired in some places, but work is in progress, the staff give the home a good atmosphere, activities guy brings out the best in all, very encouraging and fun.

Overall Experience

The care and kindness in the nursing home was exceptional. My mum was constantly monitored by the care staff and nurses. My mum was treated with compassion, empathy, and respect. Although mum couldn't eat much the quality of the food was excellent and every effort was made to make her things she liked. Mum was only there for a short time about seven weeks; the room was very small but I could see much larger comfortable room. My mum was unable to get to the dining room or residents lounge so I can't comment. This is a small care home and on first impressions may seem lacking but I am so pleased my mum was placed there as the care and attitude of the staff was outstanding including the manager. Pay your staff more!

My mother was admitted to the care home from hospital and received end-of-life care for 7 weeks. She was cared for by nurses and carers who were professional, warm, friendly, and did all they could for her whilst she was there. They did all they could to maintain her wishes and dignity during this time. We are really grateful for the standard of care and the dedication of the whole team at the home.

Some rooms could do with an upgrade.
Contacting staff by phone could be better.

On the whole, seems a satisfactory and homely care home!

My mother was admitted to the care home from hospital and from the moment she arrived she was cared for with the utmost dignity, compassion, and professionalism. The staff were welcoming, warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to help my mother settle into the home. I felt assured at all times that the high standard of care was maintained due to excellent management and the staff's dedication to the residents and their colleagues. I cannot recommend this home highly enough. Well done to all staff involved in my mum's care.

Leaving a care home review isn't something I ever thought I would do.

We never got to choose where my nan went, she was discharged for end of life care and that's exactly what the staff at Lezayre did. Through difficult covid times, they made the whole process as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff made us as a family feel like we belong there - even though she wasn't a long term resident. I can't thank them enough. Care and compassion is something they do well.

My poor step-mum spent her last weeks here. Her care was amazing and even under the awful circumstances of Covid in her last hours they supported us, her family and gave her dignity tenderness and compassion until the end. Thank you.

Well, never thought I would be writing a review for a care home but here goes.
My mother never wanted to be in a care home so we tried our best as a family to keep her in the comfort of her own home for as long as possible including having a care company go in 4 visits a day and a night visit but unfortunately my mother was not getting the care she needed.
My mother told me she wanted to go into a care home to be looked after properly and so after a lot of stress and worrying I found Lezayre Nursing Home and I was heartbroken the day we moved my mother in and I mean heartbroken. My mother has been in the home just under a week she has settled in wonderfully and the staff are all amazing and all seem to have a lot of time for the people they care for and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The manager is very approachable and friendly and makes you feel welcome and without her, I think I may just have lost the plot so to speak so thank you.

Our Dad went into Lezayre Nursing Home in January this year as he has Dementia. We cannot praise enough the manager and the staff for the exceptional care they gave Dad, they made our family feel very welcome when we visited Dad. They treated him like he was part of their family. The manager was extremely kind and helpful all throughout Dad's stay. He then had to move to an EMI Nursing home due to his Dementia getting worse.

We couldn’t recommend this home highly enough.

Further to my last review I sadly have to now write a review to praise Lezayre's staff and management for their outstanding end of life care that has made my mum's passing so much easier. It was peaceful and calm and dignified. I was made comfortable and welcome for the 2 days and nights that I stayed there with my beautiful mum as she died. The staff have always been very loving and they all said their goodbyes to her. Thank you all so much.
