Hedges House is a lovely Residential Care Home in Lytham close to Lytham Green, and all Lytham's fabulous facilities including cafes, shops, restaurants and much more. The team provides wonderful care in a home from home environment. The staff are fully trained and the home benefits from an on site Registered Manager, full time maintenance, home cook and daily housekeeping.

Hedges House offers care and support for residents that may need help with personal care, continence management, medication management, nutrition and diet and much more. Living in a residential care home can support families to provide round the clock support and company for loved ones at a time when they need it most.

The home has 32 luxurious bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a licensed bar, an air-conditioned garden room and offers excellent home-cooked food which is all locally sourced. Hedges House can offer short term care, recuperation from hospital stays, respite care and longer term residential care. Hedges House can support residents living with dementia.

Hedges House prides itself on the personalised care on offer and the team takes time to build strong and valued relationships with all families. We were fortunate to get a beautiful room at hedges for my mum who has Alzheimer's. We couldn't have been happier with the care she received. The staff are absolutely outstanding their care, attention to detail, patience, love and fun for all the residents is out of this world. Jane the manager is exceptional
and she should be very proud of all her staff. I can't thank you all enough for everything you did for me, my family and my mum. Thank you morag daughter of a resident xx

My mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia 3 years ago. She is now 95. She had always been active and fiercely independent. She lived with me for 15 months, and in March, my daughter and I realised Mum needed more care. We were lucky to find her a lovely room at Hedges House.
The staff and facilities
are excellent. It is very homely and all the staff are kind and knowledgeable. Mum has settled in well.
We are so thankful and looking back, wish we had moved her there earlier. It's certainly peace of mind knowing she is in a safe environment and happy.

We managed to get a room at Hedges when my brother was diagnosed with a terminal cancer. The en-suite room was well appointed and we were able to personalise it to make my brother feel comfortable with his surroundings. From the beginning to the end the staff were so caring and helpful. Dietary and
medication requirements were handled in a thoughtful manner, as they changed quite a lot over his time at Hedges. The staff take time with the residents and it becomes more of a family environment than a Care Home. My brother had 6 good months of great care at Hedges. The 7th month was palliative and managed in a very thoughtful way. The liaison and interaction with Trinity Hospice nurses, District Nurses, Doctors and Pharmacists was handled in a sensitive and professional manner. Keep up the good work.

My aunt sadly passed away on December 28th 2024. She had been a resident at Hedges House for over five years. During my aunts time there, she was treated with kindness at all times and the care she was given was exemplary, especially in the last 12months of her life, when she became bed fast. Before
that period however, she was able to enjoy all the activities and events provided, games, art classes, exercise classes, food tasting sessions, visits from musicians and other entertainers. Children visit to sing carols at Christmas and summer brings BBQ's and visits to the lovely Lowther gardens. Whatever the occasion staff arrange an event where family and friends can join in to celebrate. After over five years of experiencing the holistic care they provide at Hedges House, I would not hesitate to give it my recommendation. My aunt was blessed to call Hedges House home and on both her and all my family's behalf, I thank them for all that they did to provide her with the best possible care.

Since my mother entered Hedges House mid June, the care she has received has been outstanding. The staff take time with all residents, they show love, care and compassion.
Food looks good and easy for my mum to digest. In relation to health issues, they closely monitor her health and keep me updated.
Overall
I would certainly recommend everyone to come here either for respite or long-term care.

My mother was initially against going into care, but following a recent accident she decided she would not be able to cope on her own and asked to move into a care home. We looked at various homes and our first impressions at Hedges House proved to be the right choice. We were warmly welcomed by the
manager and given a comprehensive tour of the home, which made the decision to place Mum at Hedges House very easy. We have been really impressed by the way Mum has taken to living in a care home and it is all thanks to the staff at Hedges, who are exceptionally friendly and really helped her to settle in. She is absolutely delighted with her new home, the care and attention she receives from the staff and the food provided, and has enjoyed making new friends.

We viewed the home in September 2023. When we went in place is so clean, felt homely and no smells at all. The other residents looked happy and content. The staff are so lovely, they spend time with the residents, talking to them, doing activities etc. They are compassionate.
The rooms are nice and
clean. The restaurant is like a hotel and they serve some good food to them. I was nervous looking for a place for Mum to settle into but I am happy to say we made the right choice.
If you feel worried about finding the right place for your family or friend, give it a go and have a look for yourself.

Our mum was a resident in Hedges House for a year until she needed to move very recently due to the progression in her medical conditions.
We have been delighted with the care and support the whole team at Hedges House gave my mum. They are professional, kind, helpful, and compassionate. There's a
real feeling of warmth and care in the home. My dad visited daily and they supported both him and us on our journey with Mum, giving feedback and always available on the end of a phone for updates as we live a long distance away. It was always very reassuring to see many of the same faces in the home over the years - staff and residents, which speaks for itself. We were kept up to date immediately with any changes in Mum's condition.
Mum really enjoyed the food, her room was clean and functional. They really go to town decorating the lounges in the home for different events which the residents get involved in and are enjoyed by everyone. The staff all have our sincere and grateful thanks.

Ever since my mother moved into Hedges House she has been treated with a great deal of respect. Despite struggling with mobility and dementia she has received excellent care in all respects. All the staff seem conscientious and hardworking and cater to all her needs.

I would like to thank all the management and staff for caring for my stepmum at short notice due to my dad being rushed into hospital. My dad's sister resided at Hedges House for over 4 years previously and said it was like her home and the staff were like her family which is why I chose to approach
them to help during a difficult time. The service was very professional to get my stepmum settled whilst my dad was in hospital. The staff did an amazing job and she was sad to leave, making new friends with some of the residents and staff. A big thank you from myself and my dad.

Since becoming a resident of Hedges House, Mum's life has been transformed, becoming much chattier and upbeat, after living many years on her own. The staff are always friendly and seem to have taken a shine to Mum. All in all, a very satisfactory experience for both Mum and I.

I'm delighted with the overall care for my father. He is very happy and content whenever I see him. He has no pain and he knows he doesn't remember everything. I see him every week. Take him out and he is content. The staff are very accommodating to our wishes and enquiries. Management is excellent
at making sure ie, wheelchairs are safe and if I find a problem they get it sorted. The very pleasant atmosphere as you enter. His latest Best Interest Meeting was a very positive one and had good feedback. Thanks to all management and staff.

All the staff at Hedges House have been amazing with my auntie. It was a huge decision for us to move my aunt in and it certainly was the right one. She is so well cared for, she loves all of the staff and I love the peace of mind they have given me. I can’t thank them enough.

My grandma was so happy to be in Hedges House. The staff were so friendly with her and she was treated with respect and care at all times. Her room was clean and bright and the bed was new. I can't thank you all enough for making her final days precious ones. We have a big family and we were all greeted
with a smile each day. The central location was perfect for us all to be able to stay close and visit her in shifts allowing us to make ease of meeting together for lunch or dinners in the cafes nearby and walking on the beach was exactly what i needed at the end of the day.

Having looked at many care homes for my grandma, Hedges House was by far the best. From the moment we walked in the manager and the warm, caring team helped us feel at home.
Hedges House is a fantastic location, close to the beach and shops too!
I can’t recommend Hedges House enough and whilst moving

Hedges House has coped remarkably well through the pandemic, taking my mother in at a very difficult time. Mother had become depressed and dishevelled at a previous home, within days the staff had her up and moving, eating regularly and looking clean and tidy in her own clothes. Not an easy task as
she didn't want to do any of these things. I cannot thank the staff enough for their dedication and kindness.

I moved my grandmother to the Hedges from another care home where I was disappointed in her care. My grandmother is a different person. The Hedges and all the staff there treat her like a member of their own family. She looks amazing and her dementia is not as pronounced as she is kept busy and stimulated.
I now enjoy our visits and the happier Grandma I knew has in some respects come back to me. Highly recommend!

Having spent 15 years working in childcare I looked for a long time to find a home for my own grandma. Since taking over Hedges House, I have been back to college to study my level 5 in Health and Social Care and spent a lot of time getting to know our residents.


I love what I do and feel very privileged to lead a Residential Care Home where the residents mean so much. My role is to support the home from a regulatory prospective and offer direction and guidance to drive quality.


Of course I couldn't do this without the help of our staff team and with their support we put our residents at the heart of our home.
