My mother's care at Bluebell House is exceptional. The staff care so much about the residents. Nothing is too much for them. The management - Mark and Jo go above and beyond. Mum was 100 last week. The party was fantastic all down to the organisation and care taken by the staff. She's very happy here.
I couldn't have chosen a better place for my mum to stay. Thank you.
Reply from Sarah Bellamy, MD at Bluebell House Residential Care HomeThankyou so much for your kind words about the team - we will pass this on and they will be delighted. I think the staff team enjoyed the party just as much as your mum !

Derek was admitted to Rose House initially for respite care after my sister was unable to care for him at home. This situation has not improved, and as a family we have been supported while transferring Derek into Rose House permanently. The planning has been very successful, although Derek struggled,
he has been comforted and has settled in well with a good routine with all staff and residents.

Generally a well run home. It would help more if staff had badges pinned to their uniform so we know who we are talking to. Most staff work extremely hard and look after the patients very well. It is a very hard profession to be in. Rooms are well looked after, as is my mother. Meals are excellent and
varied. We always get phone calls from the home in case of emergencies with my mother. Families always invited to special care home events, i.e., social media etc,
Reply from Rosie Towers, Area Manager at Hedges HouseThank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear that you feel the home is well run and that your mother is well looked after. Our team will be very happy to know their hard work, compassion, and dedication are recognised We also appreciate your helpful suggestion regarding staff name badges. Clear identification is important for families and visitors, and we will review this to ensure badges are consistently visible and easy to read..

The care at Bluebell is superb. My mum was very independent and initially opposed to needing any help - but she loved it there. The care, and emotional support from all staff was outstanding. Full activities if residents wanted them, and quiet areas if not. Always spotlessly clean and individual attention
in abundance. Mum and all her family loved it.

Dad came to Bluebell House in 2023 due to not being able to look after himself because of his dementia. The care here is fabulous, it is like home from home. Dad settled here straight away. The staff are wonderful, it is like one big family, the staff are so patient with him, and ensure his personal
care is dealt with, even when he can be very difficult. Dad is very happy here.

I visit my friend Shiela once a week. Shiela has settled in really well which is a great relief to all her family & friends. This testimony to the friendly & professional staff. Shiela gets regular visits from chiropodist & hairdresser. I always feel welcome & the Christmas party was the best Christmas
party I attended-so much positivity from the entertainment & staff. Shiela's room is lovely. Being so close to Ashton gardens, St Anne's town centre & the beach are also real benefits. Thank you to all the team x

Moving my mum in to a care home was my worst nightmare, the emotions i went through were truly heartbreaking. What can i say the difference choosing the right care home makes. From my very first visit the respect and emotional support i received from the management and all the staff was second to none.
My mum has been at rose house for 12 weeks now and i have my life back knowing mum is so safe and extremely well looked after in every aspect. The home is so clean, comfortable and welcoming at all times, i can turn up unexpected and the home is always the same. All the staff are genuinely caring and very dedicated to service users. My time with my mum is now spent as quality time which i cant thank rose house enough for, i looked at many care homes and i can honestly say this was the best by far.

My mum has been a resident for a year now. I cannot praise the staff enough for their care in looking after her. She has come on so well in herself since going there last year.
The home is always very clean and has a really homely feel. All the staff are great and really lovely with the residents.
My mums room is very bright and well equipped. All the communal areas are great.
I am very pleased with all aspects of bluebell house. 10 out of 10

My mother has been a resident of Bluebell House for almost a year now. She was lonely and struggling at home when Dad died and initially resisted going into a home. However, she quickly settled down and is now completely happy. The staff at Bluebell are marvellous, attentive and caring and they really
seem to be fond of residents. There have been a few issues with laundry and separating belongings between residents, and the rooms are rather small but they meet Mum's needs. She really only uses her room for sleeping and much prefers to be joining in the activities downstairs. The staff try to do something most afternoons, from singing, chair exercises, games, drawing, crafting and baking to name a few. The house is always clean, light and welcoming. Mark and Jo, as managers, are always available and respond quickly to questions and problems, offering as much support to residents and families as possible. We would have no hesitation in recommending Bluebell House to anyone

Hedges House came to the rescue when my elderly disabled sister needed caring for following the loss of her husband and having subsequently contracted sepsis and pneumonia. My sister had a lovely room of her own which she loved and felt was her sanctuary. The care home gave structure to the day but
also allowed for independent needs. The staff were warm and friendly and I believe the kindness my sister and I were shown was instrumental in her recovery. We will always remain grateful for the care and support given in our hour of need.

My mother-in-law was admitted in the summer of 2025, due to not coping at home. This was extremely distressing for her and our family. The staff were very good at helping her to settle in, and also advising the family.
She has now settled in extremely well, and made friends with the other residents.
Daily activities are carried out to stimulate the residents, and we have noticed a great improvement in our family member.
The staff are very approachable and listen to any concerns.
The management are always available if we need to discuss anything with them.
Overall, a brilliant care home, brilliant staff, food is very good and I cant fault anything. Would recommend Bluebell House.

I have found all of the staff friendly and helpful. My mum has settled really well and seems very happy. They had lots of activities on the build up to Christmas, which everyone looked to be enjoying. I live abroad , so seeing my mum in this homely environment, means I can go home knowing my mum is
safe and being well cared for.

Our family cannot thank the team at Bluebell enough for the incredible care they provide to our mum. From day one, it was clear that her wellbeing is their utmost priority. Knowing that she is in such capable and compassionate hands truly puts our minds at rest.
The home itself is beautiful and clean,
yet it maintains a warm, 'home from home' atmosphere rather than feeling clinical. There is always something going on to keep the residents entertained, and the communication from the staff is excellent. We especially love seeing photos of Mum having fun on their social media-it's wonderful to see her so active and engaged! Mum is very settled and, most importantly, happy. When she is happy, we are happy. We highly recommend Bluebell to any family looking for quality care."

My mother has been at Bluebell House for 12 months, she is 92 and has dementia and is very happy at Bluebells. She calls it home and her family. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and the care is fantastic. The ensuite bedrooms are lovely and clean and the food is tasty home-cooked food.
The Home has people that come in and entertain the residence and they take them out on little trips. We have peace of mind knowing that mum is so well looked after and cared for and happy and safe. We fell very lucky that mum is at Blubell house because it is most definitely the best in the area.
