My mum has been in Highgrove for nearly two years and has been treated with the utmost respect. The management and staff are very approachable although I feel sometimes there is a small lack of communication between myself and staff regarding my mother.

The staff are generally very friendly and helpful. They endeavour to see that the resident's needs are met. The home is quite clean and the meals are varied and of a reasonable standard. Our relative states the home takes good care of him, but he does get a bit bored and would like a bit more to do.

All the staff, from the manager, carers, cleaners, are all wonderful with the care and attention given to the residents. They have afternoon social dancing now and then. The old music they love. Being in the resident's lounge altogether makes them feel safe and secure. The kitchen staff too are thoughtful
with meals. They all tuck into the meals and serve the residents the best.

My Dad is currently in the care home and I'm trying to get him somewhere else.
My dad looks unkempt, they put someone else's clothes on him and lounge smells of urine.
Although some nice carers, a few are not, he's had quite a few falls, bruises and a black eye and he's only been in there 2 weeks.
The manager doesn't address concerns and is argumentative, will be so glad when my dad is removed from home have reported home to social services.

My dad was only here for a short stay whilst we found a place nearer to us. So glad it was only short (a week in the end). My dad has vascular dementia and had severely deteriorated over the 2 weeks in hospital. He was resident upstairs which stank of urine. Not good. His care was poor. Not sure if
it was the lack of staff but his basic needs were not met. From what we witnessed, drinks given to him in a cup - he can't feed himself, so heaven knows how he was supposed to do that. I could go on. To be fair, some staff were lovely, the cook we spoke to actually took an interest in my dad's lack of appetite. The place is badly managed in my opinion and paperwork kept on my dad was incomplete. Things should have been implemented but they chose not to because his stay was temporary but for me, they still have a duty of care! Avoid this care home. I can't believe there are good reviews about this place.

I am very happy with the home, and the staff. The home is clean and airy, not a heavy smell of urine.
Patients are warm, safe, well fed. When a patient had dementia this really is all they need.

My mother was admitted to the care in January 2016, diagnosed with dementia and not being able to look after herself. This was a big family to make and you hope that your loved one will be looked after well. I can honestly say that all the staff we have dealt with from the manager, care staff, cleaners
and admin staff have all been extremely professional and helpful. The work staff do is very challenging but nothing is too much trouble for them. It gives you peace of mind to know your loved one is looked after and that you are able to visit anytime you want.

My mum has been here about 6 weeks and I am very impressed with the care and attention she gets she seems to be very happy here. She is 92 years old and has memory problems but is very well looked after and always has a big smile on her face. She needs quite a bit of care and I am very impressed with
the way she has settled in and is happy. The staff are very caring and work hard.

My mother has been here for 18 months during which she has received excellent care.
The staff be they manager, carers, catering staff or cleaners, all take the time to talk and explain how my mother has been doing.
Very approachable, always helpful.
I feel very satisfied and content at the level
of care provided.
