We chose Hilton Rest Home with mum as it is small and homely. We were made more than welcome and mum's move in was very easy. We have been encouraged to personalise her room and are welcome to visit at any time. What makes Hilton so special is all the girls who work there. They are all very friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. They really show they care for mum and the other residents and keep everyone cheerful. You all work very hard, it does not go unnoticed and we really are grateful. My eldest son, 9 years, was encouraged to help and get involved with the activities which were taking place when visiting his great grandma. After a short stay in hospital, my Dad wasn't fit enough to go home, we decided it would be better for him to go into a care home just for a few weeks, something he had always been against, but he agreed to give it a try. Since being in the Hilton he has put on weight and he is happy, he loves the food and the staff are great, really friendly and caring, he is also walking better. The Hilton Residential Home has recently become home for our mum. The management and staff team have supported us to make a difficult decision, they have answered our questions and treated our mum with dignity and respect while she settled into a completely new lifestyle. The home is a small group of people which gives it a homely comfortable feeling with always enough staff on hand to ensure the needs of people are met in a timely manner. There is a lot of fun and laughter from both staff and the people who live at the Hilton and I always feel welcome when I go to visit and always go home feeling my mum is safe and cared for.
