Looking forward to her going home soon
There are plenty of staff but there does not appear to be anybody in overall control.
They all seem to take their breaks together which is not good.
Clothing is an issue it gets sent to the laundry and its pot luck if you get it back or somebody elses
Unfortunately the manager has been on leave since just after mum became a resident with us however there is always a designated member of the team ' in charge' in the managers absence.
As for the laundry, all items of clothing are...
Lovely, friendly care home. My mum has been here for about a month and has really settled in well. She is happy and is well looked after. The manager and staff are really friendly and care about the residents.
Thanl you for a lovely review, we are happy you decided on the Hilton as a home for mum.
We chose Hilton Rest Home with mum as it is small and homely. We were made more than welcome and mum's move in was very easy. We have been encouraged to personalise her room and are welcome to visit at any time. What makes Hilton so special is all the girls who work there. They are all very friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. They really show they care for mum and the other residents and keep everyone cheerful. Mum has been there now for just over 4 weeks and I know she is safe and well cared for. Thank you so much for making mum's move into a care home a really pleasant and positive experience.
Thank you for that lovely review, it is a pleasure to look after mum and welcome you all as a family
My sister & I visited several residential homes & we both agreed that the Hilton Residential home would be the most suitable for our mother. She became a resident on 2/2/2025. From that day to today the care our mother is receiving is excellent and our family have been made very welcome on each visit. All the staff are kind, caring and hardworking. Mum praises the staff to us each time we visit, which is lovely to hear. Thank you Hilton for looking after our precious mum.
Thank you for that lovely review, it is a pleasure to look after your mum and getting to know you all as a family.
I would recommend to friends and family, I have enjoyed my stay. I have enjoyed the activities that the home provides.
You all work very hard, it does not go unnoticed and we really are grateful. My eldest son, 9 years, was encouraged to help and get involved with the activities which were taking place when visiting his great grandma. This was lovey for him to engage with other residents of the home and he says the activities are "really cool".
My Grandma moved into the Hilton Rest Home after 12 months of health issues including falls. I feel reassured that she is being well looked after by a fabulous team. She has settled in the home well and is enjoying having other people around and has made friends. She has told me she enjoys the food and has reluctantly been taking part in activities such as armchair exercises that will be beneficial to her.
You never feel unwelcome and visits are always comfortable and staff ensure you are made to feel like one of the family. Mum is happy, which is the main thing of course. And the Christmas party was ace!
Thank you for a lovely review, our aim is to ensure our residents are well cared for and happy your review tells us we are achieving that.
I researched and studied online reports and made 6 unannounced visits to care homes on this basis.
My brother in law has Parkinson's disease, MLD and developing mobility challenges.
The Hilton Rest Home has demonstrated a true empathy and understanding of my brother in laws personal profile needs. The previous manager and current manager have shown patience and support in meeting community based activities during his respite placements.
We are currently waiting for a single occupancy room for our brother in law, he loves the staff, has made a number of friendly and talks constantly about the Hilton when he isn't there. He loves it there, he is happy we are delighted!
Thank you for that lovely review, we have modernised and redecorated all our bedrooms and communal rooms over the last 12 months and we continue to upgrade and improve the home.
It is not an ideal situation but my mother chose the Hilton as my father was also a resident in his final few years.
Thank you for that lovely review. We strive to deliver an excellent standard of care every day. We are continually improving the home and the facilities we provide.
After a short stay in hospital, my Dad wasn't fit enough to go home, we decided it would be better for him to go into a care home just for a few weeks, something he had always been against, but he agreed to give it a try. Since being in the Hilton he has put on weight and he is happy, he loves the food and the staff are great, really friendly and caring, he is also walking better. He has now decided he wants to stay there. The home is clean, no bad smells and a lovely atmosphere.
Thank you for that lovely review, we aim to provide excellent care and a happy environment for our residents. It is a testament to the staff when our residents thrive in our care.
The Hilton Residential Home has recently become home for our mum. The management and staff team have supported us to make a difficult decision, they have answered our questions and treated our mum with dignity and respect while she settled into a completely new lifestyle. The home is a small group of people which gives it a homely comfortable feeling with always enough staff on hand to ensure the needs of people are met in a timely manner. There is a lot of fun and laughter from both staff and the people who live at the Hilton and I always feel welcome when I go to visit and always go home feeling my mum is safe and cared for.
Thank you for that lovely review. Our main aim is to provide excellent care for our residents in a happy and friendly home. Thank you for recognising the hard work we do.
Mum has been here now for six months. Prior to moving in, we thought she hadn't long to live. She was in very poor health and couldn't walk. Six months on and she is doing really well. She has gained weight, is walking short distance and her health has improved significantly. Most importantly she loves the staff and we as a family, are very happy with her care.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is a pleasure to care for your mum and get to know you all as a family.
The size of the home was a factor during our search and the feeling of calm on entry really helped.
The team are wonderful, hilarious at times, very welcoming and are happy to answer any queries/questions you may have. They like family to be involved.
The home is clean. Food choices are varied and home-cooked. There are daily activities for those wanting to take part - give the armchair exercises a go.
I would 100% recommend the Hilton.
Thank you for that lovely review, I know you particularly enjoy our armchair exercises, it's a pleasure to look after your mum and get to know you all as a family. Kind regards, Registered Manager
After further medical diagnosis, my mum is now a permanent resident and I cannot speak highly enough about all the staff and management as they have made a difficult process so much easier, they are all very approachable and make you feel very welcome.
My mum has also commented on how happy she is and how much she is enjoying being there which again is down to the caring nature of all staff.
Thank you for that lovely review, it is our pleasure to look after your mum and get to know you all as a family.
The best part of this home is the staff, they truly care about those they look after. Our Gran has lived here for over 5 years now and the love she is showing and care given allows us to feel safe and peaceful about her being there.
My sister has been resident at this home since October 2021 and she could not be in a better place.
The complete team at the Hilton the care staff, manager, and domestic and kitchen staff are all warm, friendly, and responsible within their roles.
My sister receives excellent care with all her needs catered for to exceptional standards. Privacy and dignity are a main priority at all times as is the happiness and well-being of all the residents who are respected as individuals.
My sister has mild learning difficulties which was and continues not to be a problem for the staff, she easily settled in the home and is very happy there.
A new manager was employed last year, she has made many changes and improvements to the home providing the residents with improved facilities and decor, all areas have been upgraded and my sister's room is lovely!
A pleasant "home" from home keeping my sister safe!
Thank you for that lovely review, it is a pleasure to look after your sister and get to know you too. We strive to do our best every day and make our resident's stay with us enjoyable.
Keep up the good work Team Hilton!
Thank you for that lovely review, It was lovely to get to know your dad and we are happy he is returning to us in August. Regards Tina MacNeall Registered manager.
My Mother is in the Hilton Rest Home. She is 102 age. When you walk in the care home it is very clean there is no smell and the staff are really nice people and the manageress is a really nice lady and even the lady who owns the care home is lovely they even have our chef there to do the meals and on a nice day those who can sit outside, they will take him out into the garden all in all I wouldn't want my mother anywhere else but the Hilton Care home.
Thank you for that lovely review, It is a pleasure to have your mum stay with us, she makes our day with her story's she tells us. Regards Tina MacNeall, Registered Manager.
Dad thoroughly enjoyed his week at The Hilton and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this care home for respite or long-term care.
Well done Team Hilton.
