Hulton Care Home

The home is a lovely place to stay. The staff are very caring and looked after my mum during the covid pandemic. It was a milestone birthday some weeks ago and they gave her a wonderful party with all the residents.

When I was told my granny was going to a care home, I wasn’t very happy. You hear lots of bad stories about care homes and how they treat their residents. I have zero complaints about Hulton Care Home. They constantly have activities for them and are finding stuff for them to do. Bingo, painting, musicians etc... They have a variety of animals for them to pet and look after and the staff are all lovely. Through the current pandemic, they have kept their residents safe and well. Keeping family members and friends up to date through social media. My granny is a very quiet lady who didn’t do much when she lived alone... now she has her nails painted and hair done, joins in with the activities and is always smiling. The house is always spotless too. Would highly recommend.

This care home looks after my father and I am really happy with the care he receives, all the staff are very friendly and welcome visitors, no matter what time of day. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, I highly recommend Hulton Care Home.

I find the home is very homely and staff are friendly and are great.

My wife and I visit my sister at least two times every month and when we arrive every one of the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the home always looks homely and nice.

I have found the staff and facilities very good on all my visits. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Staff have been very kind, caring supportive of the needs of the patient. They give him lots of support and communicate with him in a manner he understands well. They treat him with respect and honour.

I felt that I could visit at any time and spend as much or as little time having a coffee with mum.

My Mother was admitted to Hulton Care Home in 2014 and she received the best care that I hoped for in every way. All the staff from the manager down to the cleaners and maintenance were friendly, open to suggestions and nothing was too much trouble.

It was good.

On 10th of August my Mother in law, aged 99, passed away in your Nelson home. The care respect and consideration shown by your Staff was second to none. She had been in your care for about 3 1/2 years and was always well cared for during her stay, she loved it there. Last September her husband also passed away in your home he was 96 . We have come to know the staff quite well in that time and regard them as more of an extended family than carers. We would like to thank all the staff. We miss our trips to Nelson. Thank you and your fabulous Staff.

My mother was taken into the home in April 2016 suffering from dementia. My first impression was how helpful and friendly all the staff are and how it didn't smell of pee! The room mum has looks over the garden and is nice and light. Mum has been allowed to bring some of her own furnishings in. Before going into the home my mum was very lonely as dad died in 2009 and they did everything together and at 86 few friends still living. She has been on several outings and feels like she is settling in. I would like to thank the staff for their continued patience with mum and her mood swings and extremely glad we got her in there.

I was asked if I thought my friend was being cared for well, if I had any problems with the caring and did I want to discuss any matters concerning her. A friendly meeting, no problems arose.

The home have been looking after my mother for six months. She is very happy, settled and comfortable and says the foods good and she enjoys the activities the home put on. Especially the trips out. Hopefully now that winter has gone by she is looking forward to sitting out in the outside sitting area.

A friendly, warm welcome extended to everyone. Kindness and compassion abound, food superb and staff so caeing, a delight to spend time with them. A very well managed home and so happy that we found this place for my husband on short term care.
