My mother-in-law has been in this care home for several years and each member of staff go above and beyond to make her stay as peaceful, happy and comfortable as possible. All the food is prepared specific to her needs and personal care in every aspect has always been handled very well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the care home to friends and family. Everyone deserves a pat on the back for thier commitment to the tasks in hand. Thankyou so much everyone.

My mother has been in Longridge Hall for 3 years and during that time her dementia has progressed. I understand that caring for almost 30 residents, many with differing needs and capabilities can be a challenging job. However, I have always found the staff to be attentive and professional when looking after my Mum in what must sometimes be a very demanding environment.
I trust all the staff but I must mention Jackie as she always goes the extra mile when caring for my Mum and others. Her vast experience and the kindness she shows to the residents, helps ease any concerns I have about Mum's deteriorating health. She is always there to give me a hug and reassures me that Mum is receiving the best possible care.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Longridge Hall to care for your elderly relative.

I have been very impressed with how well my mum has settled into Longridge Hall Care Home. Whilst it has only been a few weeks, I can see already what a difference the team there are making to her day to day care.

The home is very welcoming and the staff are really attentive, my mum also tells me how she has enjoyed the activities that they put on for the residents.

In january as well as May , my mum's toe nails and finger nails had not been cut by the chiropodist. It was down to me to check mum's nails and report the issue.
2 weeks after reporting this issue in May, mums toenails were finally clipped, however her fingernails were still long and dirty. No plug in wash hand basin so she cannot soak her own nails.

A blonde carer said chiropodists only clip toenail!! Thats the first I've heard that! So if carer can clip fingernails why can they not clip toenails. Blonde carer said she doesn't know why mums fingernails are dirty and not been clipped in 3 weeks and proceeded to look for scissors then got Jackie who made up excuses and would NOT clip mums fingernails while I was there and walked away to paint nail varnish on someone else! This is neglect

Longridge Hall provides first class care to their residents. The compassion, understanding and level of care that each member of staff have shown to my dad since he became a resident is quite frankly superb. This extends to the warm welcome that my mum receives each day when she visits my dad. Thanks to the staff and the level of care provided, we as a family feel that my dad is being extremely well looked after and this has helped my mum so much at this very difficult time. Every aspect of the daily care provided is superb.

Since mum moved into Longridge Hall towards the end of last year we have been so pleased and impressed with the level of care and support provided - both to mum and to us as a family, helping us all to navigate this transition. We have found the staff to be friendly, approachable and very welcoming at all times

The home recently underwent a significant re-decoration and the new lounges provide a warm and welcoming setting. We also like the ability to use smaller, more private lounges if there a few of us visiting at once.

My mother has been a Resident Service User at Longridge Hall for the past 6 months. She did not consider that she needed residential care but is now settled and accepting of the care provided by the staff who are ecellent at providing the care that residents need and are good at forming indiividual rrelationships.which is verry evident in my mothers case.
The standard of accommodation is first class, the communal areas having recently undergone refurbishment. Rooms are of a decent size and are all ensuite providing residents with privacy.
Daily activities are open to residents that are varied and at a level accessible to all.
Meals too are very varied and of a high standard, well recieved by the residents.

In conclusion this is a care home of the highest standard with exceptional staff.

Mum made her own decision to look for a care home as she didn't like living alone after my Dad died and at over 90 felt that she wanted more permanent support in her daily living. She visited Longridge Hall for lunch and to spend the afternoon with some other residents, joining in with the afternoon's activities. She was made to feel very welcome by both staff and other residents so after returning home she soon made the decision to put her name down for a room at Longridge Hall. She has been a resident for just over a year now. She has settled in well, has a nice room, and has made friends with other residents. She particularly enjoys the opportunities for trips out in the minibus. The staff look after her needs perfectly while respecting and encouraging her independence. She is still able to enjoy outings with the family which the staff also encourage. She knows she has made the right decision.

It was a difficult decision for mum to move into a care home .but for her safety, and wellbeing it was the right choice. She has now been at Longridge Hall for 8 months and settled in straight away. The staff are absolutely wonderful with her -the care, attention and kindness they show is truly amazing. They've also been incredibly helpful and supportive with us, nothing is ever too much trouble, we are so grateful for the peace of mind this has given us. We would definitely recommend Longridge Hall to anyone looking for a warm, caring environment for their loved one.

My experience as a relative is largely positive. I feel the care given to my father is caring and appropriate. He informs me he is happy where he is and feels he is comfortable with the care given although he does inform me that at times he does feel lonely.

My husband has been in Longridge Hall for nearly 12 months. In the that time his condition has deteriorated quite significantly. Despite this the staff still go out of their way to meet his needs and ensure he retains his dignity.
Staff are very aware of the individual needs of all residents and treat everyone with respect.
The staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are not only well looked after but also cared for.
The home respond's to changing needs and puts measures into place to ensure safety of all residents.
My husbands personal care is taken care of and he is always clean and well presented.
Despite his advanced dementia and lack of communication he is still valued and every effort is made to keep him happy and smiling.
I am very happy with the way the staff are so caring, kind and compassionate with all residents.

I choose Longridge Hall for my husband and I am still happy with my choice after almost a year.

And he has settled really well which is down to the lovely staff and caring environment. This all makes us a family feel we have made the right decision.

Tracey Hartley
Tracey HartleyJob Title:Registered Home ManagerJoined: 2008
I have a passion for care and have worked in the industry for over 20 years.
For the past 12 years I have worked at Longridge Hall Care Home, starting as deputy manager and progressing to become the home's Registered Manager four years ago.
Longridge Hall Care Home became part of the Sandstone Care Group in 2020. They are extremely supportive and have shown that they care and want the best for our residents and our home.

The best thing about working in the care sector? Knowing that I am able to make the lives of our residents as happy and comfortable as possible.

Laura Thomas
Laura ThomasJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2021

Laura joined Longridge Hall Care Home in August 2021.

She is the home's dedicated Deputy Manager and supports the Registered Manager Tracey Hartley with the day-to-day running of the home. She also supports the staff to deliver person-centred care.

Laura enables the residents to live an independent and enriched lifestyle, ensuring that they have meaningful experiences. She oversees the training of staff and loves to watch our employees develop and progress within the company as she did herself, from Senior Care Assistant to Deputy Manager.

Reggie
Reggie Job Title:Pet Therapy DogJoined: 2020

I’m Reggie the Chihuahua and I’m Longridge Hall’s pet therapy dog. I may be small, but I have a big heart! I love people, as they are so good at giving me fuss and hugs. My mum Karina (who is a carer here at Longridge) thought I would be a useful part of the team as a therapy dog.

I get to meet lots of different residents and love all the belly rubs and attention they give me. I offer companionship, unconditional love, and fun. I’m told being a therapy dog I help improve people’s mood and I have a calming effect.

Residents like to stroke me, talk to me and some even toss me a ball. I let the residents decide how they want to interact with me – I can stay on the floor or sit on a lap. Not everybody wants to pet me, which is fine, it’s a personal choice.
