I used the service to start recovery and rehab, after my right shoulder replacement. The room was excellent. The ground floor was the most suitable for my needs. The building is impressive. The activity programme is in place and not patronising. I live close by so I was able to have lots of visitors
who I entertained away from my room. Nice staff, food well cooked.
Reply from Amber Williams, Client Relations Manager at Priesty Fields Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I have been well cared for during my stay. The diabetic nurse comes 3 times a day to give me my insulin and keep an eye on my glucose levels. The food is very tasty with good variety. Sometimes it's not hot enough. I have enjoyed the activities especially movement & music, pub quiz and afternoon tea.
Serving of food can sometimes be slow.
I would recommend a stay here.
I'd appreciate a knock on the door before entering.

Very impressive design and furnishings. Everywhere beautifully clean. Possible improvements would be to provide a draft letter to advise a residents change of address, correction of first page of residents contract and clear labels on buffet items to warn and protect people at risk of allergic reactions.
The main lack is that of security for valuables.

Dalton Court Care Home

Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5
My FIL has been a resident in this home since December 2025. The staff seem friendly and caring. The general atmosphere is always welcoming. There are however concerning features of care that point to a lack of standards in care. Residents don't have routine regular visits from hairdressing or podiatry
unless they are requested. I have never met a care home where this is the case before. The home does not have a dedicated hair salon. Many now do and a visiting hairdresser who ensures every resident gets a weekly hair wash. Not the case in this care home. Unfortunately there is the same lack of care with hearing aids. These are vital for communication with the elderly yet carers seem to be ambivalent towards looking after them and using them where the resident isn't capable of doing this themselves. This is a very basic care need. I feel this is a place where your family member will be well looked after if they can express their needs but where they can't it might be different.
Reply from Gillian McAllister, Home Manager at Dalton Court Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your father-in-law's experience with us. We truly appreciate your kind comments about our team, the welcoming atmosphere of the home, and the care provided. It means a great deal to know that you feel he is well looked after.
We are, however, sorry to hear about your concerns regarding hairdressing, podiatry visits, and support with hearing aids. We understand how important these services are to residents' comfort, dignity and communication. Our approach is to arrange hairdressing and podiatry services based on individual preference and consent, but we recognise that this may not always feel as proactive as families expect.
Your feedback has been shared with the management team, who would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to better understand your concerns and discuss how we can further support your father in law.
Please feel free to contact the home at your convenience.
Thank you again.

This is a good residential place in a lovely setting. Rooms are nice and plenty of regular activities. Staff are lovely and very helpful throughout the time my mum was there. On the downside there were safeguarding concerns which I did not expect in such a place. There was also no indication upon taking
the place as to what the position would be when mum transferred to local authority funding. If a relative is to be expected to pay such a high top up fee (£700 per week) this should be made clear from the start. Had this been made clear to me, I would have chosen another placement. As it was, she had the stress of having to move from Ribble Court to another placement where the top up fee was waived.
Reply from Dawn Fawthorp, Home Manager at Ribble CourtThank you for your review, i am sorry to read that your experience was not great especially where the Safeguard Concern was raised. I do hope that you felt it was dealt with quickly and your mums safety was maintained at all times following the incident. Both myself and my administrator will review the information we provide to families prior to admission and make sure that the Funding / Top Up is clearly detailed. it was a pleasure to meet your mum and we trust she has settled into her new home well.

My father has been a resident at Priesty Fields since June 2024. Since moving here, he has had a new lease of life. There has been a massive improvement in his health and wellbeing, which we put down to the care and treatment he receives here. He enjoys living at Priesty Fields and has good relationships

The care afforded to my Grandma for almost the last 3 years has been fantastic. Her dementia has developed since she has lived at Fleetwood Hall and her needs can be challenging however the staff have been patient and caring with her. She has developed strong bonds and trust with the care team. The
home itself always appears clean and looked after and the rooms are large, light and airy. There are plenty of communal spaces for residents to enjoy.
When she was able to enjoy trips out there was plenty on offer, and there are regularly visitors to the home who engage the residents with a variety of activities in addition to the in house ones. I like the social media updates and the fact that visitors can call when it suits for the most part. Staff are quick to answer queries and questions and have kept family members up to date. I would, and do, recommend this home to others for spacious environment, facilities and overall care.

When my Dad was transferred to the care home from hospital, his health had deteriorated to a point he did not have the strength to lift himself out of a chair or bed, walk unaided, had lost a huge amount of weight in a short period of time and he was falling multiple times a day. He moved into Fleetwood
Hall on Christmas Eve 2025 and as I wrote this review on 1 February 2026 he has improved beyond measure. He is up and about, smiling, doing his puzzles again which he had lost a love for, he has gained weight and has a love for eating again. He is in such good spirits and has nothing but good things to say about the staff and care he receives every day. Because of this home, Dad has a lease of life again. Our family and myself are so grateful for everything you have done for him. We can not say thank you enough. If you are looking for somewhere to place a loved one who needs extra care I would recommend this home a 1000 times over. Our Dad's improvement is immeasurable. Thank you.

My Dad has been in Telford Hall since January 2024 when we needed to find a permanent full time nursing place at 24 hours notice between Xmas and new year (when the NHS find out you're self funded they want you out of hospital without any time or help). Telford Hall were great and made the transition
seamless. The home provides a great level of nursing care in very nice en-suite rooms. Food is great - Dad has put on 2 1/2 stone! There are loads of activities to join if you want to and even a pub, cinema and hairdresser. The relief we have knowing Dad has 24/7 care is immense.

As soon as you enter Telford hall building you receive a warm welcome. I have been visiting a friend for several years, that lived there.
I've always found the care outstanding, respect & dignity at all times.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff. They are friendly & approachable.
There
is always encouragement to join in different activities that are going on.
Sadly my friend passed away in October. His end of life care was outstanding & the staff were all very supportive to family & friends.
I still pop in occasionally to see the staff.
Forever grateful for the care that was given.
