Our mother loves the home, treated with dignity and respect. All staff are amazing and really go the extra mile to look after Mum's needs. Always great entertainment is laid on, and she loved the wed hair salon day, amazing. The only huge negative complaint is that we have had to drain Mum's savings
and sell her family home to pay for her care. Yet other people with no assets in the home are receiving the same care council funded. It's morally wrong.

My sister has been a resident at Priesty Fields for 18-months and is suffering from severe Dementia, which is deeply distressing to watch. The building is beautiful and the rooms are light, bright and clean. The staff at Priesty-Fields have been amazing during her time here. They genuinely care, are
very understanding, treating people with high levels of respect and dignity. From management through to the administration and laundry team, everyone is pleasant, helpful and happy to communicate. Although there's been several changes of management during the last 18 months, I have never had any difficulty contacting them and have always found the team to be good listeners, approachable, and responsive. Following each visit, we leave knowing that my sister is being well cared for.

I live in Australia and have recently visited my Mum (for the first time since she moved to the care home) a number of times during my UK stay. It was reassuring to observe Mum in a bright, welcoming environment with caring staff. It was good to put faces to names of staff who answer the phone when
I call from Australia.

Ribble Court

from P T (Power of Attorney of Resident) published on 8 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I was the LPA for a gentleman who was in Ribble Court as a CHC resident for over two years due to his deteriorating health condition that resulted him in no longer being able to live in his sheltered accommodation upon hospital discharge in 2023 until his passing in May 2025. The care he received was
not only medically excellent but the care and compassion shown by all staff in making him feel safe settled secure and loved by all during his last years and his resulting quality of life was something that I will be eternally grateful and thankful for. The manager and all her team were not only incredible in how they looked after the gentleman but they were also very helpful to me in dealing with all his affairs and external agencies.
Thank you to all at Ribble Court.

My experience of Ribble Court has always been positive since my wife came there in spring 2024.
Over the weekend 14/15 June she developed a chest infection following a cold- nothing was too much trouble and staff were very attentive, contacting me and getting the meds she needed as soon as possible.
She is now improving. She settled in well and the family believe she is happy.

My mother moved to Fleetwood Hall in January 2025 and was in a terrible condition. Five months later my mum has a smile on her face, is cared for very well enjoys the food, loves the staff has experienced days out that have been organised like the circus, and fish and chips. Loved the pony visits to
the home. All the staff from the management, admin, activities organiser, carers. cooks have been brilliant and caring it also enables me as a son to relax knowing my mum is safe, and entertained, while I am not there and most of all cared for.

My mother in law was a resident here for about 8 months until she passed away on 1/4/25. The day she went from Oaksprings into hospital.
I always found the carers friendly, helpful and happy to explain things to you. The Activity staff always tried to get everyone involved in craft, knitting, bingo
etc I would especially like to thank one staff member in particular who really took charge when my mother-in-law was ill but I must also say how disappointed I was with the 2 managers who sadly couldn't pick up the phone to offer their condolences when my mother-in-law passed away neither made any contact with us.

Reply from Andrea Lyon, Home Manager at Oak Springs Care Home

Thank you for your review. I was with your mother-in-law up until the ambulance crew arriving, I am sorry that you feel that managers was not in contact with you. But I did speak to your husband again when he came to the home to collect your mother-in-laws personal belongings. Maybe this was something he had not communicated with you.kind RegardsAndrea Lyon

This is an excellent care home. I can't speak highly about them. My father has settled in so well, the staff are so helpful and caring. As as family we where worried when he was at home but now that he has 24/7 care he is settled and so are we.
They keep you updated if they have any health issues which
is so reassuring.
The facilities in the home are superb. Movie room, quiet lounges, other lounges. Activities.
10/10 for everything.

Burscough Manor

from Terry G (Friend of Resident) published on 8 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I've been visiting the resident regularly since she came to Burscough Manor a few months ago & I was impressed from day 1.
The overall atmosphere of the home is one of welcome and kindness & it is clear that for every staff member at whatever level, this is not "just a job", it's a vocation.
The
home is clean & well maintained; the nursing staff are accessible & visible - (if I have a question I don't have to hunt someone down).
As well as being a friend to this resident, I visit on behalf of her & my local church & as such I have visited a number of care homes in the area and I have to say Burscough Manor is certainly ahead of the game.
When she first arrived my friend was understandably anxious and confused & quite distressed at times but over the weeks the anxiety & distress have gone and she has said numerous times that she feels safe and cared for where she is.; that says it all!
