One area to consider for improvement would be greater provision of activities, residents are there seven days a week and there is nothing at weekends.

My Auntie has been under the superb care of Birkdale Tower since earlier this year. They have bent over backwards to help her and kept us updated with her progress. She really responds so well to all the amazing staff and loves the food. We are noticing that she is getting stronger, more alert and most of all she is happy. I would really recommend this home.

The home is fairly new + purpose built, his room was very clean + spacious, he plans to go for respite again soon.

We have been very happy with the care my mum receives. The reception staff are always so welcoming and are often able to tell us where she is or what she has been doing. The care staff are attentive, gentle, kind and supportive, and the home is always clean and well cared for. There is a good variety of activities, with a genuine effort to include as many residents as possible. The regular social media updates are also really helpful and gives us a little insight into what she has been doing and enjoying. There have been a couple of time she has needed outside medical attention. Staff have remained calm supportive and reassuring. We have also felt that her after care has been thorough, which has helped to alleviate what can otherwise be a very stressful time. Visiting a parent with advanced dementia is never easy, but the atmosphere within the home brings positivity to what can be an incredibly difficult and emotionally upsetting period. Most importantly, we feel that the staff do their best to ensure that her life remains comfortable, dignified and as comfortable.

The Oaks is an amazing place. From the second my mum made contact to the day we lost dad and beyond all staff have been amazing. The whole building is beautiful. The shared areas and the private rooms are immaculate. All staff without fail are brilliant. From carers, the activity staff to management, all are brilliant and so dedicated.

Very friendly I am very happy for my friends care . My friend seems very happy . Loves chatting with staff . Enjoys trips out and bingo , looks forward to activities, especially staff fancy dress. likes the food , has a wonderful view off the garden , care is very good

My wife and I are in our 90's. My wife requires care, but I am still able to and look after myself. The rooms are large and comfortable, with individual wet rooms, so I can shower myself. The building has a large garden with a circular path, which will aid 'wanderers' to get to their starting point. I had the misfortune of having a heart attack about two weeks ago. The young carer who looked after me demonstrated that she was well-trained, could apply her training. She even packed my bag when the ambulance came to take me to hospital. I have only given a 'good' rating for food, but occasionally the standards will match excellent, difficult thing to achieve in a large institution.

I went in to Telford Hall this morning to visit my Mum. Such a happy atmosphere, residents being encouraged, non participants being cared for. Cleaners cheerfully working their way through the residents rooms making sure all is good. Mum has been at this home for 5 years and not once has it let her down, the staff are brilliant and I just wanted to make that comment.

My mother came into Manor Park for two weeks respite care. After this time she realised that she would not cope at home on her own even with carers going in several times a day. She is very happy about the care she is receiving. All staff are very friendly and caring. The home is beautifully set up and decorated. Daily activities provide entertainment, keeping the residents busy . Mum says she has a good laugh and loves chatting to staff and residents. We as her family are very happy that we have found such a lovely care home. We don't feel we are abandoning Mum, in fact we have to arrange our visits around her activities! She enjoys her meals and says the food is excellent. Her room is lovely. The public areas and lounge are a delight to bring visitors into. We would recommend Manor Park to anyone. In fact my sister and I say would love to book ourselves in for a break!!

Love this facility for my mum. Everything is built fit for purpose and is immaculate. The team are brilliant and my Cockapoo loves to visit everyone. Still one or two snagging issues being worked on but entirely understandable in a brand new build but every effort is made to get straight onto a 'snag'. I'm very happy my mum is in good hands, the team are all very kind and respectful. Head and shoulders above other facilities I viewed. Engagement i know is a work in progress as the team evolves and I know this is something important to the care home so I'm happy with what's currently in place and happy to assist where possible

My mum has been living at Parklands for over 2 years now and we think its a lovely clean place, with great staff and care. The home has had a change of ownership in the last 12 months and it is evident to see the investment in the site, the new management and the facilities are improving. Whilst there is more activities to be had, to keep the residents busy, distracted and appreciative, the increase in the last 12 months make this one of the best homes in Southport. I have had to look at other options at the behest fo the local council and Parklands stands above many, many, many homes. Thank you and good luck

Dad spent 10 days at Manor Park whilst his home carer was away. All the staff were so welcoming and they gave the time to get to know Dad even though he was staying only a few days. It was very reassuring for us to trust that he was safe and cared for, in impeccable surroundings. A five star holiday!

My wife was in the home for two weeks respite care. She was extremely well looked after and the staff were so kind and considerate. Everyone was welcoming and helpful and I can certainly recommend it.

I have been extremely happy with the care my mum has recieved in Manor Park so far. She is very happy here and the nurses and carers are all so lovely with her. They have been taking the time to shower her and wash her hair in the morning. They also sit with her when able to. It's so lovely and reassuring to know my mum is in safe hands and well cared for. My relative has been at Priesty Fields for 2 1/2 years I can honestly say that since the new Management team have taken over it is 100% a beautiful Home for her to live in I feel now she is in safe caring hands.

During her stay at Priesty Fields, Our God Mother was extremely well cared for. The staff were so attentive and kind. The facilities were well managed and we were always made welcome when we visited. During her last days the staff were so respectful and she was treated with great dignity.
