Thank you for your ongoing support under the new management. Some things can be achieved quickly and others can take some time to address. However, the continued open-door policy will continue to promote communication until all issues are addressed. Having families as my eyes and ears is a constructive approach to ensuring quality care remains at the same level even when management is not in the building. Collaborative working will always remain essential for everyone's quality of life.
Thank you for your positive feedback. I appreciate that you took time during your husband's ill health to send this. I take pride in delivering a warm person-centred approach to all of our residents. Furthermore, care is about supporting the resident and their loved ones.
Thank you for the lovely feedback, Julie. It is important to me to support Dad's health and well-being, but yours too. Communication is key and I would like to assure you that any compliments and concerns raised will be addressed with the importance that it deserves. We look forward to many years of happiness for the residents and staff here, ensuring that the residents' choices are heard as it is their home and everyone is entitled to a quality of life.
Thank you for the supportive feedback. I am glad to hear that you think improvements are being made. History cannot be changed but progression in the right direction can be. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns or questions.
Lisa, thank you for such a heartwarming review. It was an honour to provide a 60th Wedding Anniversary for your parents. From Mum to Dad and the extended family, you have all supported us from the start of the new management arrival. We have been transparent in the situation and have appreciated all of your support to continue the transition. Please do not ever hesitate to contact me for future comments to ensure we provide Mum with the quality of care she deserves.
Thank you so much for this feedback. I am glad that you had a pleasant experience with us and that you would recommend the home. That is the best we can ask for and the best thanks the carers can get. It's great to know the food was good too as the kitchen staff are amazing at what they do.
Hi Pauline, our staff work really hard and it is a great comfort to them to know that it is making such positive differences to the people we support and their families so thank you for sharing this. Our residents and their families are what makes this a home, so knowing they are comfortable and cared for is all we can ask.
Then during lockdown the staff became his family. He and I
It became very apparent after lockdown how much my husband and the staff had bonded.
During my husband’s last days the management and staff were amazing. It was a really difficult time. They were so helpful, supportive, professional, caring to my husband, to me, and to other members of my family.
Whilst I was at the home I could see how well the staff cared for other residents.
I would strongly recommend the Farmstead Nursing Home to anyone who is in that difficult position of choosing a care home for their loved one.

What I love most about this role is having the opportunity to truly care for people. I enjoy getting to know our residents, understanding their stories, and being able to make a real, positive difference in their lives every single day.
I’ve worked in care since I was 19, starting out as a support planner, where I created care plans for people who needed help. From there, I became a social care officer, assessing individuals’ care needs and putting the right support in place. I also worked as a trusted assessor for care homes before moving into management roles as a deputy and then a residential manager.
What drives me is the chance to improve people’s lives—to bring purpose, dignity and joy into their everyday. That’s what makes me passionate about working in care.
