overall, the care has been good and the staff have been kind. However we were very disappointed that a new bottle of expensive perfume went missing from my mothers room we reported it but unfortunately it was not recovered. we hope the home reviews its procedures to help prevent residents belongings from going missing in the future.

My mother-in-law has been in this care home for several years and each member of staff go above and beyond to make her stay as peaceful, happy and comfortable as possible. All the food is prepared specific to her needs and personal care in every aspect has always been handled very well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the care home to friends and family. Everyone deserves a pat on the back for thier commitment to the tasks in hand. Thankyou so much everyone.

Overall Experience
My mother has been in Longridge Hall for 3 years and during that time her dementia has progressed. I understand that caring for almost 30 residents, many with differing needs and capabilities can be a challenging job. However, I have always found the staff to be attentive and professional when looking after my Mum in what must sometimes be a very demanding environment.
I trust all the staff but I must mention Jackie as she always goes the extra mile when caring for my Mum and others. Her vast experience and the kindness she shows to the residents, helps ease any concerns I have about Mum's deteriorating health. She is always there to give me a hug and reassures me that Mum is receiving the best possible care.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Longridge Hall to care for your elderly relative.

I have been very impressed with how well my mum has settled into Longridge Hall Care Home. Whilst it has only been a few weeks, I can see already what a difference the team there are making to her day to day care.

The home is very welcoming and the staff are really attentive, my mum also tells me how she has enjoyed the activities that they put on for the residents.

In january as well as May , my mum's toe nails and finger nails had not been cut by the chiropodist. It was down to me to check mum's nails and report the issue.
2 weeks after reporting this issue in May, mums toenails were finally clipped, however her fingernails were still long and dirty. No plug in wash hand basin so she cannot soak her own nails.

A blonde carer said chiropodists only clip toenail!! Thats the first I've heard that! So if carer can clip fingernails why can they not clip toenails. Blonde carer said she doesn't know why mums fingernails are dirty and not been clipped in 3 weeks and proceeded to look for scissors then got Jackie who made up excuses and would NOT clip mums fingernails while I was there and walked away to paint nail varnish on someone else! This is neglect

Review of Ribble Court from Michael G (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 8 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Ribble Court staff were all very caring, respectful, friendly and professional towards our family member resident. As well as towards myself and other members of family who visited. There were quiet areas and a communal area for visitors, as required and for me personally. The coffee bar and endless supply of biscuits (not to mention bakes made by the kitchen staff leader and team) were a godsend. Confidentiality when speaking openly in friendly chat and requests for help or advice was respected. And overall, it was our family member resident home and ours too! ,

I cannot fault the excellent care my mum has received over the 8 years she has been a resident . The management team are very professional, friendly and welcoming . My mum couldn't be in safer , kinder hands . The rest of the family sleep easy at night knowing she's getting the best care possible . She's not just a resident to the staff , she's part of the family .

Review of Longridge Hall from Victoria D (Daughter of Resident) published on 21 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Longridge Hall provides first class care to their residents. The compassion, understanding and level of care that each member of staff have shown to my dad since he became a resident is quite frankly superb. This extends to the warm welcome that my mum receives each day when she visits my dad. Thanks to the staff and the level of care provided, we as a family feel that my dad is being extremely well looked after and this has helped my mum so much at this very difficult time. Every aspect of the daily care provided is superb.

I have been well cared for during my stay. The diabetic nurse comes 3 times a day to give me my insulin and keep an eye on my glucose levels. The food is very tasty with good variety. Sometimes it's not hot enough. I have enjoyed the activities especially movement & music, pub quiz and afternoon tea. Serving of food can sometimes be slow.
I would recommend a stay here.

I'd appreciate a knock on the door before entering.

Review of Ribble Court from K A (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

This is a good residential place in a lovely setting. Rooms are nice and plenty of regular activities. Staff are lovely and very helpful throughout the time my mum was there. On the downside there were safeguarding concerns which I did not expect in such a place. There was also no indication upon taking the place as to what the position would be when mum transferred to local authority funding. If a relative is to be expected to pay such a high top up fee (£700 per week) this should be made clear from the start. Had this been made clear to me, I would have chosen another placement. As it was, she had the stress of having to move from Ribble Court to another placement where the top up fee was waived.

Thank you for your review, i am sorry to read that your experience was not great especially where the Safeguard Concern was raised. I do hope that you felt it was dealt with quickly and your mums safety was maintained at all times following the incident. Both myself and my administrator will review...

Review of Fleetwood Hall from C T (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 9 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The care afforded to my Grandma for almost the last 3 years has been fantastic. Her dementia has developed since she has lived at Fleetwood Hall and her needs can be challenging however the staff have been patient and caring with her. She has developed strong bonds and trust with the care team. The home itself always appears clean and looked after and the rooms are large, light and airy. There are plenty of communal spaces for residents to enjoy.

When she was able to enjoy trips out there was plenty on offer, and there are regularly visitors to the home who engage the residents with a variety of activities in addition to the in house ones. I like the social media updates and the fact that visitors can call when it suits for the most part. Staff are quick to answer queries and questions and have kept family members up to date. I would, and do, recommend this home to others for spacious environment, facilities and overall care.

Review of Fleetwood Hall from G B (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

When my Dad was transferred to the care home from hospital, his health had deteriorated to a point he did not have the strength to lift himself out of a chair or bed, walk unaided, had lost a huge amount of weight in a short period of time and he was falling multiple times a day. He moved into Fleetwood Hall on Christmas Eve 2025 and as I wrote this review on 1 February 2026 he has improved beyond measure. He is up and about, smiling, doing his puzzles again which he had lost a love for, he has gained weight and has a love for eating again. He is in such good spirits and has nothing but good things to say about the staff and care he receives every day. Because of this home, Dad has a lease of life again. Our family and myself are so grateful for everything you have done for him. We can not say thank you enough. If you are looking for somewhere to place a loved one who needs extra care I would recommend this home a 1000 times over. Our Dad's improvement is immeasurable. Thank you.
