Low Laithes is situated about half a mile from local services. It comprises a purpose built service for younger adults with a learning disability, often with autism and complex communication and other needs including behaviour that may challenge.
People living within their services have their own flat with a small kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedroom. With facilities on site for people to develop their vocational skills and supported initiatives to access employment, further education and other local community facilities.
Hesley Group are committed to training and developing staff, aiming for a minimum 85% of support staff to be qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or the new Health and Social Care Diploma Level 2.
As well as promoting healthy and nutritious diets, people are registered with their own general practitioner, dentist and optician and are supported to access other community health care services if required.
