Prospect House Care Home

My wife Rose has been in Prospect House Care Home resided with dementia since August 2025, she soon got used to it & gets on well with staff I and family see her as I live in a villiage. The staff care and medical staff show patience & understanding and help her very nicely. We are in awe of their patience, the service staff and Donna i.e are lovely any query is quickly addressed properly and seen to. We get invited to activities that are kindly put on I had a superb Christmas dinner with my wife. All the staff are very good at what they do. We thank them and wish all of them a Happy & Healthy New Year. Thank you William aged 92.

Staff excellent with my husband as he can be very awkward at times. Rooms very clean and staff great and very helpful. He is eating more now so thanks to the chef.

The manager and staff have bent over backward to help Mum settle in. She often comments on their kindness. They've also gone to great lengths to help my sister and I accept that we are doing the right thing for her. Mum is happy and settled at Prospect House. Thank you for all that you do for our Mum.

Since arriving at Prospect House been more than happy and so has Mam. Enjoying the lovely garden, lovely food, and activities. Mam still enjoys having her nails painted and her hair done.

This very pleasant care home seems to be well managed with good attentive friendly staff. The decor is in need of a touch-up but otherwise OK. My mother-in-law has only been a recent resident after a hospital visit but has settled in better than expected.

A few staff on first impressions were slightly unapproachable, but the more we visited the more the general friendliness showed through. My uncle is quite a private person and can be quiet until he gets to know people, but he seems to be quite at home and 90% of the time all he talks about is how good the meals are. So overall experience good.

Prospect House is a warm and welcoming care home run by professional and very caring staff. The residents are kept safe, clean and well fed. Their dignity is preserved as much as can be in the situations that allow.

My dad had been a resident at Prospect House for almost 4 years when he passed away in December 2021. From the start, the staff were amazing. They reassured me that I had done the right thing by placing my dad into their care as I felt extremely guilty. I always said that I would never put either of my parents in a care home but dementia is cruel and so very difficult to manage when you are trying to cope alone. Throughout my dad's stay, the carers were amazing. The staffing seemed stable as it was always the same familiar faces I saw. My dad was treated with care and compassion throughout his stay at Prospect House and I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone who is looking for residential care for a relative with dementia.

Has a great understanding of the needs and care of Dementia/Alzheimer's residents. The care is 5-star. Food very good. Residents are always clean and content.

I would like to thank the manager and the staff at Prospect House for the care and compassion they showed to my Mum, my brother, sister and I during what has been a very difficult three months. My Mum had been a resident at Prospect House since May 2018 as she had severe dementia; a terrible, cruel disease. At the beginning of March, it was determined that she was classed as 'end of life' which meant that we could visit her daily (wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment - PPE). After 14 weeks of battling, Mum passed away on the 10th of June 2021. On that day, and during all the time we were visiting, the staff showed nothing but professionalism and respect for us all. They allowed us as much time as we needed with Mum and I feel privileged to be with her when she died. I have no hesitation in recommending Prospect House to anyone who is considering a care home for a loved one.

The manager and staff at Prospect House provide an excellent service. They all cater for all my mother's needs and give her the care she requires. I am constantly being updated by the staff regarding my mother's health and wellbeing. I am content in the thought my mother is getting well looked after and is in a safe and loving environment.

Since my mother has been in Prospect House, she has thrived physically. I am really happy with all staff; they have done really well in the pandemic, all credit to them. We are so glad we decided to place her here.

Excellent care for my mum over the last 3 years. Dad was here too, he loved it and he loved the staff. Would definitely recommend. Mum, and dad, when he was here, are treated like family by the staff.

I just want to thank everyone who cared for my mother in her last year of life,she sadly passed away 25th November. They cared for her with love, compassion and dignity. My family and I knew that we could relax knowing about the exceptional care she received that went above and beyond our expectations. I can't really praise this home and staff enough, so a big big thank you for all who cared for this much-loved member of our family.
