Overall a very positive experience. The care, support and attention to my mother-in-law's requirements has been first-class. This is driven by the professionalism of the management team at Rose House, they also ensure that residents' needs are addressed in a timely manner, and communicate effectively
with the family to explain any actions taken.
Reply from Tracey Reynolds, Registered Home Manager at Rose HouseThank you for your kind review, we always try to keep family informed of every aspect of their loved ones' care, and I am glad you have had a positive experience at Rose House.

Rose House has supported my mother to make a difficult transition from her home. They have been kind, patient and caring every step of the way. We have been kept informed at all times and involved with her care by the excellent management team. The residents are stimulated with daily activities and
we look forward to seeing this on social media. The home is exceptionally clean at all times, my mother's room is spotless and reflects the standard expected in a five-star hotel.

Before I retired my job took me to many care homes. So having experienced care homes in the past I find Rose House and all of its staff one of the best.
The facilities are excellent, clean and well-kept. The staff at all levels are professional and very helpful, and nothing appears too much trouble.
I
would recommend Rose House to anyone.

I have found Rose House to be very efficient, friendly and very welcoming.
The staff are helpful and very attentive to my friend.
Her needs are met on a daily basis and although she has only been there a short time has settled in well.
She prefers not to take part in group activities at present but
the co-ordinator involves her on an individual basis which is excellent.
Overall I am pleased with all aspects!

I highly recommend this beautiful purpose-built home for your loved ones, it is a home but feels like a hotel! The staff are fantastic - they truly care! The team is led by a competent management team who listens and adheres to your loved ones' needs. The care staff are very attentive and actually give
person-centred care. The activities and entertainment are full of fun and allow you to be involved. The chef and the kitchen team produce amazing food - I've eaten there! The domestic staff do a great job at maintaining a 10 out of 10 clean environments. The bedrooms are modern, light, and spacious and all have an en-suite bathroom. I would like to thank all the team for the brilliant work that they do - keep it up! The best care home in Doncaster!

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.875)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.875) out of 10 for Rose House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.875 for Rose House is calculated as follows: ( (283 Excellents x 5) + (21 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 311 Ratings = 4.875
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rose House is based on 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 registered maximum number of service users is 12.2, which has been reached with 25 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

I started my career in care; however, I have nursing experience also and moved into a care team leader role, which I held for 5 years before being supported by some fabulous members of management who have helped me in developing my skills and experience, which took me into a Deputy Manager role. I have now been a Deputy Manager in residential care for the past 10 years and am very passionate about my role. I continue to develop my experience and skills and am currently completing a diploma level with the aim of progressing my career in the future and managing a care home of my own.

I take huge pride in ensuring person-centred care for all residents and supporting the care team in rolling that care out across the home.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2025

With over six years of experience in the care home sector and additional background in home care, I’ve built a career rooted in compassion, dignity, and a deep commitment to improving lives. My journey into care began at a young age, inspired by a personal experience—when my brother’s accident left him paralysed, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of high-quality, person-centred support.

Since then, I’ve progressed through a variety of roles, including care assistant, activities coordinator, senior carer, unit manager, and now deputy manager. This path has given me a comprehensive understanding of care home life—from hands-on support to team leadership and strategic oversight. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care, along with specialist qualifications in medication management and end-of-life care.

For me, care is more than a profession—it’s a vocation. I’m proud to be part of a team that puts people first, and I remain passionate about making a meaningful difference every single day

Job Title: Admin Joined: 2023

My career in administration has touched various departments and industries over the past 22 years, having supported company directors in a personal assistant role and worked in human resources. I have experience in supporting different areas of a business and am able to transfer that experience into my role at Rose House and support all areas of the home as required.

I started working for Runwood Homes in August 2023 for one of our sister homes, Liberty House and moved over to Rose House as part of the commissioning team when Rose House first opened. I really enjoy my role working as an administrator and supporting the families and residents in any way that I can.

Job Title: Maintenance Joined: 2024

I’m Gareth. I'm passionate about my role as a Maintenance Operative because no two days are ever the same, and I absolutely love connecting with our residents. My work is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to make a real difference every day.

I hold HGV 1 and 2 licenses, a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care, and a BTEC Entry Level certificate in Construction. I’m also proud to support our home—one highlight was participating in a charity event where I had my legs waxed to raise funds for the residents’ fund!

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, off-roading, camping, and spending time with my trusty Land Rover.

Adventure and exploration are my way of life, and I bring that same energy and dedication to everything I do.
